As we make our towards them, I ask Celeste in my thoughts.
"where is Leonard?"
she replies.
"he is trying to seal the magic anomaly."
I ask.
"how?"
she answers.
"apparently he's been using a remote device that is capable of doing so."
I then ask.
"well is he away from the action?"
she replies.
"yeah we made sure of it."
after a few minutes of running I spot the creature's heat signature in the distance, and I say to Celeste while pointing at it.
"they are over there."
she then asks.
"so what's the game plan?"
I ask.
"has Ying used any of his attacks on it."
she nods.
"yes, but they haven't been effective against it?"
shocked by this I think to myself.
"if it can withstand Ying's powerful magic attacks, then killing this creature will be tough."
I cough up blood, I then quickly wipe it off my mouth with my hands, and say to Celeste.
"okay inform Ying, that you and me will take on the creature head to keep it's attention away from him, so that he can properly use his magic on it."
she asks with reservations.
"do you think it will work?"
I shake my head.
"I don't know, but all I know is that we can't leave a dangerous creature like that roaming around freely."
Celeste nods and sighs.
"alright, I'll tell Ying."
I reply.
"come join in, when you are ready."
I chant.
"mana shift."
followed by.
"move."
quickly appearing behind the creature, I then give it a quick and powerful kick, that causes him to stumble around a bit, I chuckle to myself.
"it seems like I'm much stronger with platinum eyes than I am with silver eyes."
I spot Ying in the distance, who is creating distance between me and the creature, I then yell at the creature.
"hey you, I'm still alive and kicking!"
the creature turns it's attention to me, while shrieking with anger, and as the creature charges me, I hear Ying shout in the distance.
"Particle beam cannon!"
a straight line filled with red particles come flying
towards the creature, but it blocks the attack with it's hand like it was nothing, and while he is briefly distracted by the attack, I close in on it, and punch straight upwards to it's lower abdomen and it shrieks in pain, but that doesn't stop it from swinging wildly at me ,with it's long arms, I then think to myself.
"alright this is a good sign, because I didn't do much damage when I was using silver eyes."
after dodging many of it's wild attacks, I start having coughing fits that causes me to lose my concentration for a quick second, I then instinctively put my arms up and block the creature's powerful blow, I quickly retreat and think to myself.
"damn, even though I'm numb to the pain, my body is still suffering from the broken ribs and the internal bleeding."
as the creature charges me again, a portal opens up behind it and Celeste rushes in with her own flurry of attacks while using her silver eyes, I smile and do the same thing and the next thing you know the both of us, are dancing circles around the creature, causing it to get angry with every punch and kick we land, I then hear Ying shout again.
"Particle beam cannon!"
but it wad no good, because the creature still blocked it, with minimal effort, upon seeing this I ask Celeste in my thoughts.
"ask Ying why he isn't using his particle comet?"
she answers.
"already did, and he is saying because he has used too much mana and wouldn't risk using it as long as we are around."
"ask him, if he had any other trick up his sleeves."
a few seconds later, she replies.
"he does, but he says you won't like the idea."
I ask as we continue landing hits on the creature.
"what is it?"
she responds.
"he needs to be up close with us."
I reply.
"alright then, if he thinks it will help, tell him to come."
"hopefully that whatever he's got in store, can get the job done, because I'd rather not resort to using wolf's rage while I'm still injured and cause myself irreparable damage."
Celeste then says in my mind.
"he also said, that we should try to keep the creature's attention so that he can land a good hit."
I reply.
"alright let's do it."
while we continue to distract the creature, by using our physical attacks and dodging, I notice Ying approaching the creature from behind with a long, bright red sword and as he swings down the creature somehow catches a glimpse of Ying and quickly turns to block the incoming attack, but instead the blade splits the creature's hand in half vertically, causing purple liquid to come raining down on us as the creature shrieks in pain, I then chuckle to myself nervously.
"holy shit Ying, what kind of enchanted sword was that?"
after pulling the bright sword away from the creature's hand, so that he can take another swing, Ying suddenly collapses to the ground, I shout at Celeste.
"go check on him!"
I charge at the creature who is still shrieking in pain, I close in on it, and go for a punch, but the creature stops my attack with the other hand, I then click my tongue, frustrated.
"even though I feel stronger with platinum eyes, this creature seems to possess greater strength."
I sigh and think to myself.
"well if it like this, then I guess I don't have a choice."
I close my eyes for a quick second and chant.
"wolf's rage."
a sharp pain hits my c.h.e.s.t, I cough up blood and think to myself.
"shit, it seems like the numbness effect that the platinum eyes gives me is starting to wear off."
as I go for another punch, I shout at myself
"I'd better make this quick then!"
the creature once again raises it's arm to block my punch, but instead of stopping it like it has done many times before, and as the sound of bones cracking echoes throughout the mountains, as I catch a quick glimpse of what I did to it's arm, I think to myself.
"incredible."
the creature falls on it's back shrieking in pain, holding it's mangled and mutilated arm in the air, with more purple liquid coming our from the many wounds on it's arm, I then chuckle a little to myself, seeing Ying return with his bright red sword piercing the head of the creature, I then cough violently causing more blood to spew out from my mouth, and once again the pain from my broken ribs returns, causing me to blackout from the sudden rush of pain.
