Chapter 157 - Possible Lead

Months have gone by since we rescued the kidnapped students from the Cult Of Mauri, and months since the mysterious disappearance of Gale, what everyone found strange about his sudden disappearance is that, no one knew what was the urgent matter he needed to get done, not even King Dave, I focus my attention back to physical training that I'm putting my students through, and surprisingly Cecile who has been keeping up, with every exercise, and as we finish he says with same arrogant tone he had when we first met.

"this training your putting us through is pretty dull Mr. Belfaust."

I point at his fellow students and reply.

"I see, but we still need them to be able to keep up, before we move on."

I then bark an order to the whole class.

"go and take a break."

"so Mr. Belfaust are you going to watch the tournament between the fifth years?"

I reply.

"well since I'm the instructor who is training all of you physically, I think I might be present for it."

he replies.

"just so you know Mr. Belfaust, I'll be using my magic powers, to show you that I don't need to use your physical strength training to win."

I respond.

"that's fine by me, just don't throw a temper tantrum when you lose a fight."

after the end of all the classes that I train, Paula approaches me and asks.

"hey Mr. Belfaust are you going to watch me in the coming tournament, between all of us fifth years?"

I respond.

"I'll probably be there, but not just to watch you though."

she pouts.

"meanie, and here I was going to tell you that I was planning on winning the tournament using your methods of fighting."

I reply.

"thank you, but don't force yourself to fight using a method your not used to."

she replies.

"I will prove my love for you, when I win this tournament, and we will get married after I graduate the academy."

I sigh.

"I'm not marrying you Paula."

she has been growing more attached to me, ever since we rescued her and the other students from the Cult, even if I reject her every time, she is still convinced that I will change my mind, I then wave goodbye as I leave the training grounds.

I start to walk towards the exit and feel someone lightly pull on my arm.

"hey brother, can I ask you something?"

I turn around and see Sarah, I then respond.

"yeah, what do you need to talk about?"

she replies.

"well since this year is ending, I was wondering if you wanted to come back home to see mom and dad with me?"

I nod.

"yeah, sure, I'll bring along, Ellena, Celeste and Hope too.

she asks with a concerned tone.

"they are both pretty far along in their pregnancy, do you think it's a good idea for them to be traveling?"

I reply.

"yeah, we'll be using Celeste's portal magic so everything should be fine."

she then scolds me.

"please brother, you should be more mindful of them and their well being."

I reply.

"thanks for your concern, but I'll let them decide what they want to do."

she gives me a hug and waves goodbye as leave the academy and make my way back home, and while walking through the crowds of people in the city, I think to myself.

"it's weird that we lost all traces of the cult, after rescuing the students and Daurl hasn't taken any action against us for what we have done."

I sigh with frustrated.

"the many months of nothing happening is not sitting right with me."

I arrive at the front of the house and see both Selshruuk and Felnor sitting in the front porch, I wave at both of them and ask as I approach them.

"any news on the cult or Gale."

they both shake their head and Selshruuk answers.

"nothing on Gale, but we might have something on the cult."

I reply.

"well then tell me."

Felnor replies.

"Gresnor was informed by an orc named Drulog about some suspicious human activity in their region."

I think to myself.

"it makes sense, the vast mountain ranges in the orc region is an easy place to hide from the outside world."

"Drulog you say? I haven't seen him since the Lizardmen civil war that happened years ago."

Selhruuk then says.

"you're going to have to ask King Dave for some days off from the academy, because Drulog won't be staying long in the Lizardmen region."

I reply.

"alright I'll ask."

Felnor asks.

"do you think he'll give you the days off?"

I nod.

"maybe, it might take some convincing since we already saved the students from them."

Selshruuk then says.

"there is a chance that Gale went silent because he managed to follow the cult at the orc region."

I ask.

"you think so?"

he replies.

"I don't know, but if you say that to King Dave, he might give you the days off, so that you can come with us."

I reply.

"sounds like a good idea."

I then ask both of them.

"hey since your here, why don't you guys spend the night here, so we can leave quickly together if King Dave gives me the days off."

after Selshruuk and Felnor thank me for letting them stay with me, I get greeted by both Ellena and Celeste, who are preparing dinner for me together, I walk up to them and give them both a kiss and say.

"I love you both."

Celeste who has been letting her hair grow much longer ever since, she started living with us, she claims that it is tradition in her family that woman let's her hair grow out when she is about to get married with the man she loves, and every time I look at her it reminds me that we are getting officially married after the end of my first year being an instructor at the academy in less then two week, she then smiles and asks.

"are Felnor and Selshruuk staying for dinner?"

I nod.

"yeah and they will also be spending the night here."

she replies with a warm smile.

"we'll make some more for them."

Ellena then says.

"oh and before I forget, my father came by today after you left to the academy, to go over the wedding plans between you and Celeste."

I ask.

"what did he say?"

she replies.

"he said yes, about having the wedding at the royal palace back home, where we had our wedding."

Celeste adds on with excitement.

"isn't it great, my love?"

I nod.

"of course."

I sigh and say.

"there is something I need to tell the both of you."

they both stare at me quietly as I continue.

"I promised my sister Sarah that I would go with her to see my mom and dad again, and I want the both of you to come with me."

Ellena grabs my hand and responds.

"I would like to come with you my love, but from you have told me, they haven't bothered trying to get in touch with you, would they welcome us?"

I sigh.

"I don't know, but I'm hoping once they meet their grand daughter Hope for the first time, that they'll soften up on me and try talking to me."

Celeste then asks.

"what if they don't?"

I respond coldly.

"then my life will resume like it has with it without them."

we sit down at the kitchen table and enjoy dinner together.
