I nearly break down in tears.
"you really are alive?"
Rosie tilts her head and asks with a confused smile.
"do I know you?"
I nod and respond.
"yeah, do you you remember me?"
she asks her dad.
"is he also someone, that was important in my life?"
he nods.
"yeah."
as Rosie looks at me with her red eyes, I ask myself.
"if she was cleansed of the vampire blood in her body then why does she still have red eyes?"
she then says n a apologetic.
"I'm sorry, but I can't seem to recall any memories of you."
feeling a little heartbroken that she doesn't remember me, I ask.
"what do you remember?"
her dad answers.
"she recently arrived home after she regained some of her memories about us."
her mom brings Rosie to the living room with us and sits down while she answers.
"she woke up in the Dragonoids continent, with no memories on how she got there, and spent few years there working in a prison labour camp, and then escaped after recollecting some of her memories."
I sigh and think to myself.
"I guess I should tell them that she was turned into a vampire."
her dad then says.
"we have no idea how she came back from the dead, but I'm grateful to have my little girl back."
I sigh.
"well I know how she came back, and that is why I came here to you guys."
her mom replies.
"go ahead, we're listening."
I point and ask them.
"you see her red eyes?"
they nod and her dad asks.
"yeah, what about them?"
I answer.
"she came back as a vampire, and vanished right before my eyes after the vampire lords were defeated."
her dad shakes his head in denial.
"no, there is no way she was one of those bloodthirsty monsters, her eyes must be some kind of side effect to here being back from the dead."
her mom sighs.
"stop denying it honey, we knew there was something off, or we wouldn't be hiding her."
she then ask me as she hugs Rosie tightly.
"does that mean, she is still a vampire?"
I reply.
"she is no longer a vampire, but I have a way to make sure, she isn't."
I chant to myself.
"platinum eyes."
I look at her body, and sigh in relief that I see her body heat, I then smile.
"she is not vampire."
Rosie keeps stares at me intensely, and then asks.
"um, what is your name?"
I reply.
"Collin Belfaust."
she mumbles my name to herself and replies.
"my name is Rosie Hesron, it's a p.l.e.a.s.u.r.e to meet you again."
even though I'm happy she is alive, my heart is filled with sadness because she doesn't remember me, I wipe my tears with tbe palm of my hands and reply with a light smile.
"you don't know how happy I am to see you again."
I sigh and clear my throat, and say to Rosie's dad.
"listen, I've gotten pretty close to King Dave, I can bring Rosie in and clear things up so you guys don't have to keep her hidden."
her dad asks.
"will he understand?"
I nod.
"yeah, he has spoken to her before, when she was a vampire."
Rosie then says.
"there is something I want to say."
her parents ask.
"go ahead and say it baby, we're listening."
she continues.
"I wasn't the only one who woke up with no memories, there were others I woke up with, and there were many who killed themselves after they regained some of their memories."
her mom strokes her hair and hugs her tightly.
"that must have been awful, I'm sorry you went through that."
I think to myself.
"they must have felt guilty, for what they did when they were vampires."
Rosie asks me.
"did I do anything bad when I was a vampire?"
I shake my head.
"no, you lent your help to us, when we fought the vampires."
she stands up, and asks as she get closer to me.
"how close were we?"
I reply.
"you were my first love and I had serious thoughts about marrying you but."
I stop myself after remembering how she was brutally killed by Abigail, Rosie grabs my shaking hand and says.
"if it's hard for you to talk about it, you don't have to tell me."
I sigh and think to myself.
"I'll just tell her how we grew up together, and not bring up how she was killed."
I smile.
"when we were kids, you would always pick on me and make fun of me, for having a little mana."
she asks.
"why are you smiling, if I was mean to you?" Find authorized novels in , faster updates, better experience, Please click #'s-otherworld-adventure_14202078705622905/rosie_51806935527248181 for visiting.
I reply.
"even so, it is a precious memory about you, that I hold close to me dearly."
her dad chuckles.
"you kids always got along well."
her mom smiles.
"we always knew that you two would get in a relationship when you grew up."
I notice Rosie blush, and ask her curiously
"is something the matter?"
she replies nervously.
"I finally remembered something embarrassing that happened between us."
I chuckle as I suspect what she recalled and tease her.
"you do know, that your parents are very aware about that night we spent together."
her face turns beet red with embarrassment and a bit of her old personality slips out.
"stop, you idiot."
but I just smile, feeling all warm and fuzzy.
"I'm glad a memory of me came back to you."
I stand up and say to them.
"thank you for letting me and showing me that Rosie was here with you guys, and even though I would like to stay here longer, I need to return back to my parent's house where I'm needed."
her dad replies.
"it's good seeing you again Collin, unlike your parents, we never believed that you killed Rosie."
I reply.
"thank you sir, that means a lot to me."
her mom says.
"come back anytime when you talk to King Dave, so we can finally stop hiding Rosie."
I reply.
"I'll come back as soon as I can."
I wave goodbye to Rosie.
"I'll see you next time."
as I'm about to leave the house, Rosie approaches me and kisses me on the cheek while hugging me and says.
"you really helped me today, and I would like to see you again."
I hug her back tightly and say with my voice cracking.
"I would really like that."
I leave the Hesron household and return back to my parents home, where I'm met with the sight of my family talking together and having a good time, I then smile and think to myself.
"today has turned out much better than I expected."
I sit down with everyone and join in on the positive family interaction, I then ask both my mom and dad.
"me and Celeste are getting married, and I would like to have you both be present for it."
my mom replies.
"yes, I'll be there."
my dad replies.
"since Sarah wants to go, I'll also be there."
he looks at Hope and says.
"and of course my granddaughter also wants me there."
we say our goodbyes and return to home, feeling that things are finally falling into place for me.
