Chapter 16

Name:Come Here, Tyrant! Author:Park Mina
As the sun went down, the noble ladies stood up one by one with a regretful face.

They finished with the traditional Porcaus greetings to each other, and Annie got into the carriage.

Annie stared at them through the window of her carriage. The sunset falling through the trees was so beautiful that she wanted to capture it in a picture.

She remembered the smile of a man that was more beautiful than the scenery, and her heart broke.

‘One year…’

It’s been more than a year since she broke up with John, whom she loved so much. However, she felt that her relationship with him was not over.

She thought that, in a year, she would forget everything, but he was still the only one who made her laugh and cry as a woman.

Annie couldn’t take her eyes off the sunset.

Yes, John was such a bright, warm-eyed person. So when she looked at the sunset, it stung, as if it was piercing her heart with a needle.

She hasn’t been obvious like Jetina and Veriagne in the meantime, but it still felt like it’s festering inside.

Annie curled the fists of her pale, neat hands above her knees.

When looking at other people’s relationships from an outsider’s point of view, there was a definite answer, but when it came to one’s own, it was hard to have a real thought.

Carla, who sat from the opposite, asked carefully.

“Are you thinking of him again?”

Annie affirmed with a smile instead of lying.

He was someone who she was in love with for 6 years.

Since the time after their separation has not even reached half of the time they dated, this was natural.

She thought about forcing herself to forget, but not all of the memories were bad, so she wanted to forget it naturally as if it were just flowing.

Then, like those fallen leaves on the floor, it will dry up and disappear soon.

“My Lady… you really don’t want to live alone like this, right?”

“If a really good person doesn’t appear, wouldn’t it be better if I lived alone?”

Carla wriggled her fingers anxiously. She then proceeded to playfully tell Annie something.

“I don’t know. Maybe love can come and surprise you.”

“It’s difficult… What kind of person is the ideal type?”

Not all the men who Annie saw were bad. Some people were strikingly handsome, others were talented and capable, and others were friendly like John.

But Annie shook her head all the time.

Conversely, there were cases where they did not like Annie.

They consistently talked about her being too picky and passive.

Annie, who thought of this or that, responded slowly.

“A man like cream soup.”

“Cream soup?”

When Carla asked, Annie replied kindly.

“It’s easy to eat anywhere, it’s not burdensome and comfortable. It’s hard to find a cream soup I like.”

Eating really delicious soup always calmed her down. The real problem was that it was difficult to find such a soup.

Annie said with a smile.

“Where would there be such a man? Warm, soft, not burdensome.”

“Sigh… My Lady, I hope that the young lady will be loved by an ordinary person and be happy.”

“Aren’t I happy alone?”

“No, not that…”

“Come on, Carla. Let‘s think. I’m glad that a lot of good things happen even after breaking up. We could succeed in business, eat our favorite lemon tart as much as we want, and wear a pretty dress for free even when our family was in trouble.”

“I know. The weather is nice, and it’s a blessing to be able to see each other and talk in good health. Phew.”

Carla, with her hands on her hips, said.

“That’s it, and the men who don’t recognize our Lady are really blind.”

“What? Hahaha.”

Annie burst into a pleasant laugh. Then she asked in a refreshed voice, wiping off the tears from the tails of her eyes.

“Shall we get cream soup when we go back to the mansion?”

“Two bowls for me.”

“Add two baskets of bread there. There’s no way I’ll be full with one bowl.”

Annie and Carla faced each other and giggled.

The carriage went smoothly toward the mansion.

They couldn’t imagine the twists and turns that will happen in the future.
