Chapter 57 - Hold Hands

He obviously did not think that she would pull out such a reason. Jacob was stupefied and soon laughed out loud, as if he thought it was extremely absurd. "What?"

As soon as the words slipped out, Ashley realized that her words were stupid, and felt that she was probably too sleepy to wake up.

She was a little embarrassed and became silent, leaning on the bed with one hand, trying to get up.

Noticing Ashley's move, Jacob bent down, grabbed her by the wrist, and pulled her up.

When she stood firm, he held her back and pushed her in his own direction.

Ashley bumped her head into his arms, looked up, inexplicably nervous, and her hands clenched against his chest.

She could still feel his chest trembling and he was in a good mood.

She wanted to step back. "What are you doing?"

There was more blatant seduction between his eyebrows and eyes.

He raised the end of his eyebrow and pressed her on the bed, saying in a low voice, "Because of excitement."

Like heaven and earth spinning, Ashley instantly leaned against the bed and looked up to see Jacob’s lips.

The mattress was soft, his hand was still on her back, so she didn't feel any pain.

Just because of this sudden move, her mind was empty, and for a moment she did not understand what he meant.

Jacob was still laughing.

Ashley blinked her eyes slowly and regained her senses.

She took a deep breath, kicked him with her foot, and shouted "Jacob" angrily.

He was completely unaffected, his lips close to her ear. He lowered his voice, and vaguely said, "Let's find some excitement."

Ashley took a breath, and for a moment, her neck to her cheeks was red, as if burned by fire, extremely hot.

She felt her heart would beat out of her body and forced herself to calm down and stared at him.

He didn't hold her down, he just supported the bed with his hands.

Ashley pursed her lips, stretched her legs, and pushed him to the side.

There was a great disparity in strength between men and women. Jacob raised eyebrows, did not resist, and lay aside.

Ashley sat up, gritted her teeth, and said, "Rascal!"

Jacob lay on his side, with one hand on his face, looking cynical. "We are already together."

‘It’s true

And he didn't actually do anything too much.’

Instead of arguing with him, Ashley reached out and rubbed her forehead, and rolled to the bedside to think about it.

Aware of her behavior, Jacob pulled her back, raised her eyelashes, and stared at her forehead, then noticed that a red part, “Hit your head?”

She pointed to the edge of the bed and whispered, "Accidentally."

Jacob, "Does it hurt?"

Ashley shook her head. "Not much."

"Tell me," Jacob said. "Why are you lying on the ground?"

Ashley was honest. "I'm suddenly sleepy."

Jacob, "Then why don't you sleep in the bed?"

" I'm afraid you think I don't want to talk to you," Ashley said in a stuffy tone. "But I really have to review. The exam is tomorrow afternoon. I want to do better."

"I'm not so narrow-minded," Jacob said. "Take a nap. I'll call you up later."

Ashley murmured, "Aren't you bored?"

"A little bit."

"Then I'll finish reviewing earlier."

Jacob smiled, "You so afraid of me being angry?"

Ashley looked at him as if in acquiescence.

"I indeed have some other ideas to ask you to come to me for review."

Jacob said softly, "But I really didn't intend to affect you. My Ash is so self-motivated, and I can still stop you. "

Ashley said carefully, "Then I'll sleep."

"Go ahead," Jacob kissed the back of her hand, "It's a little boring. But it makes me happy to think of you here. "

Ashley climbed into bed.

Before long, Jacob came in with a hot towel and covered it in the place where she was hit, saying, "I hit it when I opened the door."

Ashley nodded hesitantly.

Jacob bent his lips, "Silly girl."

Half her face was buried in the quilt, and her speech seemed a little stuffy. "I was just nervous."

"Don't move if you're nervous," Jacob stood up and drew the curtains to cover the vast expanse of sunlight outside. "What if you fall?"

Ashley thought for a moment and suddenly called him, "Brother Jacob."

"Mm-hmm"

"It's just, you know, I feel a little nervous when you're too close."

Ashley licked her lips and explained, "Just like you just did, but I'm not angry and I don’t mean I don't like it."

Jacob took the towel off her forehead and said, "You like it."

Ashley reluctantly held back the sentence, "I didn’t mean that I don't like excitement."

Jacob laughed and said, "OK, not now."

"Maybe later."

Ashley stayed until ten o'clock in the evening.

She spent most of her time reviewing, and in the end, she didn't mind letting Jacob stay around.

One of them was reviewing, and the other was reading on the bed.

Unusually harmonious.

After hearing the roommate say that the electricity was recovered in the dormitory, Ashley began to pack up and was ready to leave.

She walked easily to the TV cabinet and took a piece of a snack out of it.

The two changed into shoes and went out the door.

Ashley tore the candy package and casually asked, "Brother Jacob, do you want some candy?"

Jacob was not interested in snacks and pinched her face. "I’m good."

Ashley tore open the candy wrapper and dropped one into her mouth. "Oh."

The two men got into the elevator.

All of a sudden, Jacob laid his hand flat in front of her, and said in an idle tone, "give me one."

Ashley obediently handed one over and put it in the palm of his hand.

Before her hand was pulled away, Jacob's palm was closed and grabbed her fingertips, with no intention of letting go.

He raised his eyebrow and said slowly, "Give me candy or hold hands?"

Ashley was confused. "Don't you want candy?"

Jacob said, "I want to hold your hand."

Ashley looked up at him and inexplicably thought he was a little funny.

She laughed because she had sugar in her mouth and spoke vaguely, "You ask so seriously."

Jacob was not unnatural. "Hold or not".

Ashley pulled the candy back with the other hand, blinked and said, "Hold."

Jacob chuckled and took her hand.

When the elevator happened to be on the first floor, he led her out and said casually, "You are looking for an internship during the summer vacation?"

"Mm-hmm."

Ashley peeled off the sugar wrappers in one hand. "One of the companies asked me to go for an interview."

"Why are you looking for an internship so early?"

"Find something to do," Ashley said, "or I'll have nothing to do when I get home. I'll be alone at home every day."

It's been a long walk.

Ashley suddenly said, "Do you want any candy?"

Jacob, "Nope."

"Brother Jacob," Ashley mentioned to him, kicking the pebbles on the ground, "Others hold hands while crossing the road or walking naturally. While you have to ask. "

"I kissed you last time without asking," Jacob said. "And you are unhappy."

Ashley was silent for two seconds. "I'm not unhappy."

Jacob, "Mm-hmm"

Ashley said, "I'm a little embarrassed."

"Mm-hmm."

"Well, I don't seem to have told you," Ashley bowed her head, thought for a moment, and stumbled through the words. "I do really like you."

Jacob turned his head and looked at her slightly nervous side face.

The two walked to Jacob's parking space.

The community was quiet at night and there were few people coming and going.

The street lamp was dim, covered by large leaves and silhouetted on the ground.

At the height of summer night, the wind was also hot and dry.

Hearing this, Jacob suddenly stopped and pulled her into his arms.

He leaned over and rubbed the tip of her nose.

His eyebrows were deep and he just stared at her bright eyes.

Lips seemed to be affixed to the next moment.

After a long time, he raised his chin and gently kissed her on the forehead.

Seemed to cherish her very much.

"Well, I like you, too."

After finishing the penultimate exam, Ashley left the examination room.

There was no exam in the afternoon, but there was another interview, and she planned to go back to her dormitory and change her clothes.

Ashley took out her cell phone from her bag and opened it to take a look.

She happened to see Liam give her a call.

Ashley dialed back.

Soon, Liam's voice sounded from that end, sounding as always wanting to be taught a lesson. "Kid, I have been busy in love these days, so I forgot about you, who is not very important."

Liam, "Have you booked the plane ticket?"

Ashley, "I'm not going back."

The other end was quiet for a moment, then seemed to laugh angrily, and the original idle tone was withdrawn and sank, "Say it again."

"I told Dad and Mom."

Ashley was also a little uneasy, but she felt that she had done nothing wrong, and her voice was not guilty at all. "They all agreed."

"Say it again."

Ashley was annoyed." I'm just looking for an internship here, and I haven't done anything wrong. "

"All right, I don't care about you."

Liam said coldly, "If you want to be deceived again this time, don't cry to me. I don't have that much time to take care of you. "

Ashley quarreled with him, "How did I get cheated?"

"You've been rebellious for a long time. You don't know anything from junior high school to college, do you?" Liam said. "You are stupid in the first place, and you are even stupid when you are seeing someone."

Ashley was furious. "You are stupid. You want to tell the world with a loudspeaker when you have a girlfriend. You are being chased by others everywhere. Who believes it?"

Liam said," You're going to argue with me, aren't you? "

"You started it."

Stalemate for a while.

"Ashley, think for yourself. If you know something, I don't have to take care of you like this." Liam calmed down and said at a time. "You can do whatever you like. Don't call me again if you are in trouble."

With that, he hung up the phone.

Ashley put the phone down and looked at the screen.

Her mood also deteriorated in an instant, blocking her chest in one breath, holding her breath in a panic.

She and Liam seldom had such a quarrel, but usually had a small quarrel, and he would let her go too far.

Although neither of them will say anything nice to each other, Ashley did rely on him.

Although she still felt uncomfortable at this time, I still didn't want to go on having a cold war with him.

She felt that if she hadn't gone to SL in her first year of high school, Liam probably wouldn't have stopped her this time.

Maybe it was because of that time, Ashley's image in his heart became a kid who treated her boyfriend more than everything.

Ashley scratched her head and typed a message to Liam.

She thought that if she had confessed to him with Jacob, he would not have been so angry.

Ahsley pondered for a moment and typed in a string of words. [Brother, you really don't have to worry. I just find an internship during the summer vacation and find something to do. I will go back on National Day. I lied to you before. The boyfriend I'm looking for is not a graduate student in our school. You know him. It's brother Jacob. Not a bad person.]

She looked at it as a whole and hesitated again.

‘In that case, will Jacob be beaten by Liam?’

Ashley substituted herself for a moment, if her friend was with Liam.

It didn't seem to be too hard to accept.

Ashley was relieved and ordered to send.

The message was sent out, but it was rejected by the other party.

Ashley, "..."

Okay.

Ashley's anger rose again.

Ashley interviewed for a small advertising company, located near the school, only two stops away by subway.

According to the address, she entered the office building and went up to her floor.

The area of the company was small, it was placed in three rows of tables, there was a small area, a sofa, and a small conference room.

Not many people came to the interview, and apart from her, there was only another boy.

The boy went into the conference room for the interview first.

Ashley was waiting outside when a woman poured her a glass of water.

She said thank you politely and looked around subconsciously.

The company may be in its infancy and didn't have many employees.

Most of the seats were vacant.

Ashley looked away and stopped on a woman for two seconds.

The woman was talking to a man, looking in a good mood and smiling.

Ashley could not stare at others for so long, and she was afraid of being detected, so she quickly took back her sight.

She always felt a little familiar.

Before long, the boy inside came out and signaled that Ashley was ready to go in.

She nodded, regained her mind, got up, and went in.

After the interview, it was just over 11:00.

Ashley counted the time, took the subway to Jacob's company downstairs, and found a coffee shop to stay at.

She heard Jacob say before that he usually ordered takeout with his colleagues for lunch and would not go out to eat.

She sent him a message. [Look out the window.[

Jacob: [you're here.]

Ashley took a sip of coffee and smiled: [no.]

Ashley :[want you to see the scenery.]

Jacob :[Sure.]

Ashley: [catch lunch together?]

Jacob: [what do you want to eat?]

Ashley: [barbecue.]

Jacob: [Okay.]

Ashley didn't disturb his work anymore: [I'm going to take the subway now. I should be almost there by the time you get off work.]

She was bored and simply downloaded a game to pass the time.

She didn't know how long it had been, and there happened to be a message of Jacob.

Ashley clicked open and found that it was already 12:15.

Jacob: [turn around.]

Ashley was stupefied for a moment, and at the same time, she noticed a man standing next to her.

She guessed something in an instant and subconsciously looked back.

The person next to her also bent down at this moment, bowed his head, and leaned his face close to her.

Ashley's head tilted, like an accident, and her lips inadvertently touched his cheek.

Her body froze, leaned back, and bumped into Jacob’s eyes.

He stood up straight, a small curve in the corners of his lips, and his tone was ambiguous and frivolous.

"I just asked you to turn around, not to kiss me."
