Chapter 68 - My Girlfriend

‘When Liam was a junior.’

‘How many years has it been since he graduated?’

For such a long time, Ashley didn't think much of it when he mentioned it.

Just as the elevator arrived, she walked in and said inexplicably, "What are you talking about?"

As soon as this remark slipped out, Ashley's memories surged in a moment.

When Liam was a junior, the campus moved near her school. In order to meet Jacob again, she, who was still young, suddenly wanted to create an opportunity to meet.

Ashley also thought of the ugly puppet brought back from Jacob’s dormitory, as well as the homework left behind because of the doll.

As a result, they met again.

Liam followed and did not speak.

Ashley's expression became a little stiff and she pressed the door button in silence.

She couldn't help looking in the direction of Liam and whispered, "I don't remember how old I was when you were a junior."

It seemed to be just a casual mention, Liam did not care too much.

Seeing this, Ashley felt relaxed.

She bowed her head and sent a message to Jacob:[my brother and Brother Mike were going to have supper. Will you go with them?

Jacob:[Nope.]

Ashley instantly had the impulse to go back.

Jacob:[Are you in?]

Ashley felt that she had really wasted her efforts, and seemed to make Liam aware of things that should not have been detected.

She was so depressed that she replied:[so I'll go back now.]

With that, Ashley was about to talk to Liam. Jacob made a phone call.

Ashley glanced down and picked it up.

Jacob's voice came along the phone, with the usual smiling tone, "What are you going back for?"

When she got out of the elevator, Ashley followed Liam and whispered, "What am I going to do if you don't go?"

There was a little noise at that end, like changing clothes.

Jacob raised his tone slightly and said in a good temper, "I thought you couldn't get out."

Ashley, "What were you going to do?"

"Staying in the hotel."

Jacob said, "Talking to you for a while and then go to bed."

"That sounds pathetic."

Ashley blinked and smiled. "Then you'd better come out."

Got into Liam's car.

Ashley sat in the back seat, fastened her seat belt, and said, "Where are we going to have supper?"

Liam started the car, "Nearby."

After two seconds of silence, Ashley coughed and politely said, "Then go and pick up Jacob first."

Liam said nothing more and drove the car in the direction of the hotel.

Fearing that he was not clear, Ashley mentioned the name of the hotel.

As he approached the hotel, Liam suddenly said, "I'll put you down at the door of the hotel."

Ashley was playing with her cell phone and was stupefied when she heard this. "Didn't you say we were going to have a barbecue?"

As she said that, under the balance in her mind, she suddenly felt that Liam's proposal seemed to be better than she had thought.

Ashley pursed her lips and said calmly, "It sounds good."

Liam sneered. "You wish."

"Can you be reserved?"

Realizing that she had been fooled by him, Ashley exhaled and said angrily, "I just want to meet my boyfriend."

Liam changed the topic, “Is it real that Jacob chased you?”

Ashley stared at him, "What do you mean?"

"Just curious." Liam drove his car near the hotel and happened to see Jacob. he stopped the car, lowered the window, and said, "Ask Jacob to get in."

"No, tell me what you mean first."

"You think I lied to you, and how come I'm not reserved? I don't have time these days, okay? He's been looking for me hundreds of times."

Jacob noticed them and opened the door in the back seat.

Hearing Ashley's words, he chuckled and said, "What are you arguing about?"

Ashley shut up immediately.

Liam didn't bother to talk to the two of them and drove again.

Ashley looked at Jacob quietly.

He probably just took a shower, smelled like hotel shower gel, and his hair was a little puffy.

The clothes on the body were also casual as if they were put on at random. He looked handsome and gentle.

Jacob moved his seat and sat close to Ashley, then turned sideways and stared at her.

There was no light in the car and the light was dim.

Originally, Ashley could not see his facial features clearly, but as soon as the distance was pulled in, everything became clear.

His eyelashes were long, and his pupils darkened in the dark light, looking affectionate and unaware of it.

Just looking at her, no extra movements.

Ashley was about to say something.

Liam in front has already said, "Please don't do anything you shouldn't do in my car."

This remark broke the ambiguous atmosphere between the two, and Jacob's eyelids moved and looked in the direction of Liam.

He said nothing, held out his hand, and put it in front of Ashley.

Ashley paused for a moment and put her hand on it consciously.

Jacob pulled up the corners of her mouth, held her hand, and habitually pinched her fingertips.

He looked out of the window, raised his eyebrows, and said, "Brother."

"Find a place in front and put us down?"

Liam pretended not to hear him.

It was not until it was near the barbecue restaurant that Liam stopped the car by the side of the road.

He turned to Jacob and said with a smile, "I am the driver of both of you."

Jacob smiled, "Didn't I call you brother?"

Ashley scratched his palm with her finger. "Let's have a barbecue."

Jacob looked in her direction, "OK."

There was no other reason.

It was so late, there was nowhere to go.

In addition, Ashley felt that she really went to a barbecue with Liam, which showed that what she said in front of her mother was true and did not lie.

After going back, if they asked, she would not feel guilty.

This shop was near Mike's home. It was a big stall.

As soon as the three got out of the car, they went to the store.

In fact, Ashley was too embarrassed to do too intimate behaviors with Jacob in front of her own brother, including holding hands.

But she didn't see him for several days, so she just acted like Liam didn't exist.

Liam didn't pay much attention to them and looked down at her cell phone.

Before long, Liam looked up and noticed their actions.

As soon as he raised his eyebrow, he thought of the topic just now, and said lazily, "Jacob, let me ask you something."

"Mm-hmm"

Liam continued to say, "Do you remember when we moved to the dormitory in our junior year, my sister..."

This was obviously to bring up what happened just now.

Ashley took a breath and immediately let Jacob’s hand go.

She was obviously in a hurry and reached out to pat Liam's arm with a hint of annoyance in her voice. "Brother, will you shut up?"

Liam withdrew his words as if wondering, "Why are you so excited?"

Ashley was really annoyed. "Don't mention me."

Jacob had no brothers or sisters, didn't quite understand the emotions between them and didn't know what they were talking about. He just thought it was funny, "Why are you two quarreling again?"

Liam glanced at Ashley and did not mention it again.

"It’s nothing."

Mike came to take the seat.

Besides him, there were already several men sitting in the seat.

Ashley had previously seen them at Mike's wedding, but they could not be named, only knowing that they were all college classmates of Jacob and Liam.

She was the only woman present.

Ashley sat between Liam and Jacob, tearing at the wrapping paper of her bowl.

Noticing Ashley, a man casually asked, "Liam, this is your sister."

Liam, "Yes."

"Oh, I saw her at Mike's wedding last time, and I still remember her a little bit."

Ashley was so small that the man waved to her and casually greeted, "Hello."

Ashley nodded, "Hello."

The others greeted her, too.

Ashley nodded again.

Fearing that Jacob would feel embarrassed, she hesitated, pulled back the hand she was still holding with him under the table and was captured by him again the next second.

Then she heard Jacob add a sentence leisurely, "She is my girlfriend."

Ashley almost choked and looked sideways at him.

Mike explained the situation silently, "Liam's sister is also the girlfriend of Jacob."

Other people didn't think it was a big deal.

The table was quiet for a few seconds, and then there was a roar. The men were just surprised and asked a few gossip questions.

But another man was surprised. " I have an impression of this girl. I remember when we took the graduation photo. Didn't you say this was your sister at that time?"

Jacob smiled low and brazenly said, "I don't remember."

Ashley did not participate in their topic and bowed her head to drink water.

Jacob looked sideways at her, stared at her slightly pursed lips, and then said slowly, "I just remember this moment, this girl is my date."

The addition of a few strangers to the dinner table still made Ashley feel uncomfortable.

Ashley nibbled at the chicken fillet silently and didn't say much.

She seemed to be out of the same world as them, watching them toast each other for messy reasons, forcing each other to drink, and easily drinking a glass of wine, even Liam, who was driving over, could not be spared.

But only Jacob didn’t drink.

Ashley also took a can of beer and drank it.

Maybe he noticed Ashley's boredom, and before long, Jacob leaned over and asked her, "Have you had enough?"

Ashley nodded.

Then Jacob stood up and casually made up a reason.

They didn't keep them and just said goodbye to Ashley.

Ashley breathed a sigh of relief, took her backpack, and reminded Liam, "Brother, don't drink too much."

The two went nearby to wait for the bus.

Ashley didn't drink much but her face was red.

She freed her other hand to cover her face and suddenly remembered that Jacob had not been drinking. She also remembered that she had not seen him drink for so many years.

When asked earlier, he said he was allergic to alcohol.

Ashley inexplicably remembered what he said that his father killed someone by drunk driving.

Thinking of this, she looked up at him and hesitantly asked, "Are you really allergic to alcohol?"

"Well," Jacob said with a smile, "I don't know."

Ashley understood in an instant and spoke softly.

Jacob said, "What about having a try?"

"Ah," Ashley said, "do you want to drink?"

"Well, drink it later."

Ashley had no idea what this man was thinking.

In an instant, she had the feeling that she had guessed wrong.

After getting off the bus, the two talked and entered the community where Ashley lived.

When he was almost downstairs to Ashley's house, Jacob stopped.

Ashley also stopped.

Then, Jacob grabbed Ashley and hugged her.

The light here was dim, there were several cars parked next to it, and there were few people on the road.

The breeze blew, the leaves rustled and the silhouette shook on the ground.

He bent down, pinched her chin, and said her in a low, hoarse voice. "Let’s have a try."

Before Ashley realized what his words meant, Jacob's kiss had already fallen down.

Her mouth still has a faint smell of wine, but it was like a very high degree of wine so that both of them have a feeling of drunkenness.

Warmer than ever before, the tip of his tongue pressed against her teeth, rolled her tongue, and licked every corner.

The movement was delicate and long, but the strength was rough.

Ashley felt a little pain in her mouth and bit the tip of his tongue.

Jacob paused, bit her lip, and soon released her.

In the light of the streetlamp, his eyes seemed to have light, and he said in a long tail, "Well, I seem not to be allergic."

With that, he laughed and added, "I think I can have a few more kisses."

Ashley muttered, "That's not going to happen."

Be silent for a moment.

"It doesn't feel good."

Jacob stared at her and rubbed her lips with his fingers, as if he wanted to hurt her, but he was afraid of hurting her. "I feel like I have to see you every day."

"I haven’t seen you in a day," Jacob kissed her lips again, "I missed you so much."

Ashley still had a sense of guilt for fear of being found doing this kind of thing near home.

When she walked more than ten meters to her home downstairs, she always had a feeling of trepidation.

Ashley trotted downstairs, turned her head, and noticed that Jacob was still standing in the same place. She waved to him again and signaled him to go back quickly.

Jacob also waved to her, seemed to smile, and quickly turned away.

Ashley opened the door with the key and went in.

She went into the elevator, pressed the up button, and looked down at her cell phone.

Then Ashley heard that the door had been opened again and there was a sound of footsteps.

She subconsciously followed her voice and bumped into Grace's eyes.

She was stunned, "Mom, what are you doing out so late?"

Grace looked at her, smiled, and said faintly, "Throw a rubbish."

She didn't know if she saw Jacob, but Ashley was not sure at this time. She didn't ask any more questions and nodded guiltily.

Sure enough.

The next moment, Grace said, "I just saw it. Your brother's friend sent you back."

Ashley scratched her head. "Mm-hmm."

"Jacob," said Grace, "did he come back with you for the holiday?"
