When midday arrived, Mr. Malfoy came and chatted with Mr. Proulx for a while before he took Draco (with the Occamy... Maybe he didn't notice the occamy actually. It was inside Draco's pocket anyways.) and disappeared.
It seemed like the man had said something important to Mr. Proulx since he had not left his office since. Not even to eat lunch.
Casimir then, was left on his own once again... As he should have been.
Finally... Some peace and quiet once again...
He picked up his previously abandoned violin and was about to continue where he left off in the Moonlight Sonata (1st mvt) score sheet after eating lunch but, his plans had to be cut short, unfortunately.
Mr. Proulx suddenly appeared in front of Casimir out of nowhere, startling the boy into almost dropping his violin, again. "F-fuck!"
"Hey! Where did you learn that word?!" Mr. Proulx asked in anger.
"N-nowhere..?" Casimir stuttered.
"We'll talk about this later." Mr. Proulx said seriously. "We have more important matters to discuss."
Casimir secretly sighed in relief. It seems that he's safe... For now.
"I have been discussing with Mr. Malfoy..." Mr. Proulx started then, paused, checking if Casimir was still listening. "Since you and Draco have been confirmed to have the ability for magic, he suggested that we begin homeschooling the both of you..."
"In preparation for when you both enter your respective schools for magic." Mr. Proulx continued slowly, as if preparing for a drastic reaction from Casimir.
Surprisingly to Mr. Proulx, Casimir was actually taking the news pretty calmly. "Oh, I see! I'll just follow whatever decision you make, father."
"Oh... Alright." Mr. Proulx said slowly, as if in disbelief. "Well, have a good day."
He disappeared again.
This time, instead of continuing to play his violin in the lounge, he directly packed all of his stuff and went to his room.
So when people decided to disturb him, they at least had to knock first.
...
As he was reading a book about dark arts on his bed, the very same book that he had stolen from his father's office all those months ago, Magick Moste Evile, he accidentally kicked the package that Draco had sent onto the floor.
Oh right! I need to hang that somewhere in the closet. His expression darkened significantly when he remembered what happened during that morning.
When he got up to pick the package off the floor, he began to feel as if something was wrong.
The weight is off.
If one judged by how a normal scarf would weigh, then they too, would notice that something was off.
The package was a bit heavier than it should be; as if it contained an object other than the scarf.
So, doing as most people would do, he directly dumped all the contents of the package onto his bed.
Plop.
A terribly worn-out book fell out along with the scarf.
Hmm? What is this? A diary?
Tom Marvolo Riddle..? Who's that?
Maybe someone Draco knows accidentally put it inside or something...?
Well, it's none of my business anyways. I'll just leave it here until Draco visits again... For safekeeping.
Then, Casimir continued on reading.
...
Somewhere in the Malfoy Manor, Lucius Malfoy was standing in front of an unlit chimney in the darkness, holding a single sheet of paper and reading through its contents in a seemingly obsessed manner.
"Since he won't give Salazar Slytherin's locket to me..." Lucius Malfoy muttered to himself. "Then I will just send the other six to him!"
Inside the letter, a few scattered words were written.
'In order to prevent the resurrection of the dark lord, these seven items are required to be placed within the presence of each other:
Tom Riddle's diary
Marvolo Gaunt's ring
Salazar Slytherin's locket
Helga Hufflepuff's cup
Rowena Ravenclaw's diadem
Harry Potter
The dark lord's snake, Nagini '
...
"I can't take it anymore! I'm gonna read it." Casimir said to himself, grabbing the diary and flipping it open.
First page, blank. Second page, blank. Third page, blank. Fourth page, blank. All pages were completely blank!
You have got to be kidding me!
You sent me diary that has nothing in it?! Seriously?!
Whoever this Tom Marvolo Riddle is, you better not let me catch you or you're dead.
So, in his rage, he did whatever a person called Casimir Marie Proulx would do.
He vandalized the diary.
'Fuck you, you dirt baguette!' He wrote on the first page.
Curiously though, when he finished writing, the words he wrote disappeared.
Afterwards, a single question mark replaced them.
What the fuck?! Is this a ghost diary?!
Most people would have stopped by now and threw the diary as far away from them as possible then, sleep it off, hoping that it was just a dream.
But, unfortunately, we're dealing with a person who's as far away from normal as the distance between the earth to Andromeda.
'You dead bro.' Casimir wrote down, snickering. His previous rage quickly disappearing since he found something far more entertaining than reading some boring diary entries.
'What do you mean?' The diary replied.
Oh English! This ghost is an English ghost! Casimir then, switched to English in order for the ghost to understand him.
'I just stated the truth, Tom Marvolo Riddle. You dead.' Casimir grinned to himself, having fun with confusing the ghost diary.
Unknown to them, they were both misunderstanding the situation.
Casimir thought, he was talking to a ghost that had inhabited the diary.
What Tom Riddle thought was that, Casimir already knew about his original identity and was implying about the death of his corporeal body.
Truly, this was one beautiful misunderstanding.
