The headmaster seemed to have given a speech or something similar since people started clapping. Casimir wasn't entirely sure, not paying attention to anything. All he knew was that, food suddenly appeared on the previously empty plates after the clapping stopped. At that moment, Casimir began feeling a little lightheaded but, he just brushed it off, thinking that it was just due to not getting enough sleep.
"You better eat something before going to sleep." Draco nudged Casimir. "If you get stomachache in the middle of the night, you better not be complaining to me."
"Mmh." Casimir hummed and glanced at Draco through half lidded eyes. "That's surprisingly caring of you."
Draco rolled his eyes. "What caring? I just don't want you whining at me at 2 A.M. in the morning."
"Aww, Draco. Just admit that you love me." Casimir grinned and suddenly hugged Draco tightly, surprising the boy.
"Get off me, you weirdo!" Draco yelled and tried to struggle his way out of Casimir's arms.
"I will never let go of you!" Casimir laughed.
"You will let go of me or my father will hear about this, Marie!" Draco threatened.
"Oh, I think your father and especially your mother would be very happy about this instead, don't you think?" Casimir teased but, his face seemed to grow increasingly pale.
"Just get away from me!" Draco pushed Casimir's face away but ended up recoiling his hand away right after.
"Why are you so hot?" Draco asked in shock.
"Well, thank you for the compliment, Draco but, unfortunately, I have no such interest in you in that manner." Casimir tried to joke.
"I'm being serious here, you nitwit! You're burning up!" Draco smacked Casimir's hand away from his shoulder and placed the back of his hand on Casimir's forehead. "How can you be sick today of all days?!"
"No wonder you started acting all weird suddenly." Draco muttered to himself.
"It's fine." Casimir smiled weakly and pulled the scarf closer to his neck for warmth. "I just need to rest for a while."
"Eat a little before you sleep then, you git!" This time, it was Draco doing the lecturing instead of Casimir.
Meanwhile, the other people of their little group were showing complex expressions, feeling left out from this show of brothers love.
Casimir just smiled happily and content, acting in a spoiled manner as Draco shoved all kinds of food into his plate.
"Eat already, dimwit!" Draco commanded.
It was nice to see Draco care for someone and refused to show it properly but would end up doing something that made it very obvious.
"As you command, Lord Malfoy." Casimir's smile widened and he began eating under the watchful eyes of Draco.
Seeing as he was eating obediently, Draco too, began to eat.
When everyone had already finished eating and the food began to disappear, Casimir had barely eaten half of his, becoming nauseaus and unable to eat more.
Perhaps, because of barely having slept for four days straight and the stress he put his body in, trying to start the training he had done in his previous world as an assassin again, his body finally couldn't take it.
A wizard's only weakness is their own weak body, he heard Lucius Malfoy say once, during their lessons. He then concluded that, if his body and magic were unequalled, then, nobody could overpower him, therefore, he began training his body the same way he trained in the previous world.
It seems that he had overworked his body, resulting to this; a fever.
Soon, everyone was eating desert aside from him. Draco didn't force him to eat this time since he knew Casimir didn't really like sweets much.
The sickly sweet taste of those delicacies didn't quite appeal to his taste. It reminded him of the bitter memories of his youth, trying to earn enough money for a single piece of hard bread a day. At that time, he wouldn't even glance at the sweets being sold, let alone eat one.
When the children finished eating, they stood up and began leaving the great hall. The first years too, began to leave, following behind their house's prefects who took charge in leading them to their rooms which were down in the dungeons.
Through coincidence or something else, Casimir and Draco ended up sharing a room.
Upon getting there, Casimir directly laid down on the bed farthest from the door, not even surprised when he saw Noir already there, napping.
"You're sleeping already?" Draco stood at the foot of Casimir's bed with arms crossed, looking at Casimir with distaste. "Go take a bath first at least to cool off your body, you oaf."
"I think you've called me a year's worth of insults in just today alone." Casimir said, his voice muffled by the pillows.
"Stop changing the topic and just take a bath, frenchie." Draco threw a pillow right at Casimir's head.
"Hey! That's not even an insult anymore!" Casimir pointed out as he removed the pillow from his face and threw it back to Draco, getting up from his bed and rummaged through his case, looking for a set of sleepwear. "Alright. I'll go take a bath. Bye~"
