Khal remained silent, watching as the three being approached him with visible hostility.
Each creature was humanoid with the sole difference that their legs were similar to that of a bull while two, twisted horns could be seen growing out of their foreheads. Each of them wore silver armor and held a long, silver sword that shone eerily under the sun's gleam.
"Grash Suf Tharsa Miyra. Kara Suf Jasd Halar."
'What the hell is he babbling about?' Khal frowned, not understanding what the creatures tried to say.
[He is using the Ancient Tongue, a language that is used by races to understand each other.]
'And what did he say?' Khal asked, but knew whatever the creature said, it was nothing good for sure.
[He said you will have two choices. Either give them all your accessories and treasure or they will kill you on the spot.]
Khal stayed mute before he examined the three creatures and asked, 'Do you think I can win against them?'
Khal asked this question as he felt no pressure from the three before him, meaning they were either on his level or they had yet to show their true strength.
[All three of them are on the same Stage as you, all of them are Body Refiners. But if I were you, I wouldn't underestimate them as their Blessings are quite powerful, especially in the early stages in the Second Realm.]
[Their race are known for their crazy and short-tempered nature, that is why they are called the Berserk Horns or just simply the Berserkers. Their Blessings allow them to improve their physical strength at least twice, but when they reach the Higher Realms it's not a surprise to see some that are capable of increasing their strength thrice if not four times!]
[They can easily overwhelm a whole army by their physical strength alone if they need to.]
'Sounds terrifying.' Khal nodded scarcely but that didn't mean he was scared or whatever. As a fact, he felt even more excited as he wanted to see just how strong he became now that he reached the Second Realm and even surpassed a Stage right off the bat!
What's more, he even had his Moonshadow to test its strength while also his newly acquired Blessing that was sealed all this time.
"GHAR FUL SUF TAHATD!!!"
[He is running out of patience. He said choose or die.]
"Haha!" Khal laughed upon hearing this and smiled coldly while straightening his back and summoning a golden scythe into his grasp.
"!?!"
All three creatures froze up upon noticing Khal's weapon that emitted a scary and almost suffocating presence. In their eyes, the weapon seemed like a terrifying and bloodthirsty beast that just got out of its cage and wanted to kill!
Khal smiled even wider when he saw this, but soon he became confused as the three creatures' became excited and without hesitation leaped at him with obvious greed in their eyes.
"Courting death!" Khal sneered and without hesitation swung his weapon while pressing one switch on it with his finger which caused a shocking sight in the next second.
The very same second as he pressed the switch, the scythe's head suddenly came loose and while attached to the handle through an iron string which Khal held firmly, it began to fly toward the three creatures with a silver flash.
The three creatures became shocked and their pupils shrunk to the size of a needle. When they noticed that Khal had a Spiritual Weapon that seemed to be only useful in close range, they didn't hesitate to lunge themselves onto him.
Like, who in their right mind wouldn't want a Spiritual Weapon that looked so mighty and threatening? Also, their race specialized in close combat thanks to their Blessings, so Moonshadow was the perfect weapon for them, no question about it.
However, exactly because of this, they didn't assume that the weapon in their enemy's hand was a little bit more than it showed to one's eye. It was not only a close-range weapon but also could attack others in mid-range, which was quite a rare sight, particularly as it was a Spiritual Weapon!
If they would have known this, they wouldn't have acted so rashly. Now, the only thing they could do was to watch and hope that their armor was strong enough to repel the weapon's sharpness.
But their hope was useless and short-lived as it was shattered like glass. The very moment the blade got into contact with the silver armor, not even a sound could be heard before it sliced through the three creature's bodies horizontally, akin to a hot knife through butter!
"I am not done yet!" Khal smiled even colder and pressed several other switches on the handle while he swung his arm around as if he was fighting with a sword against an invisible enemy.
Swish!
Whoosh!
Swish!
Moonshadow flew everywhere and under a split second it shredded the three creatures up into small pieces. What remained from the three was only a pile of bloody mess and nothing more!
Swish!
Clang!
With a metallic sound, Khal watched as Moonshadow attached itself back to the handle, becoming a whole once again.
'That Moon Goddess was a fool not to use you.' Khal shook his head, feeling regret that such a powerful weapon rotted in a treasure hall for centuries until all this time.
After glancing at the spot where the pile of mincemeat was visible, Khal frowned and pinched his nose before turning away in disgust.
Although he has killed beasts and a single individual, Andre before, this situation was completely different. Killing Beast was a must for him to get stronger as their Essence was like a source of power while he killed Andre because of his revenge.
However, this time, he killed neither because of the two, but because his life was in danger. Also, their bodies didn't turn into Essence, but remained in one place as a pond of blood and mincemeat, which emitted a sour, nose twisting smell that made him feel slightly sick.
[You have to get used to such sight if you wish to become stronger as only worse will wait for you in your path.]
'Yeah, I know.' Khal nodded with composure and waved his hand, immediately scorching the mess away with his Hell Blaze.
