Chapter 162: Golden Card

Khal stared at Alde with stupified expression as he didn't expect him to act this way, but soon realized the hidden motive behind his strange act.

"Try to perform the same thing as me? Haha, how foolish." laughed Khal inwardly, even feeling a bit of pity toward him.

However, exactly because he knew what that bastard planned to do did Khal smile and nod, "What happened has happened and we can't change that. However, what lies before us are all depending on our actions, thus I hope we can become friends."

This surprised a lot of people, especially Liza and Nate. The former one was deeply confused because she knew that behind Miss Mary's death Alde stood while Nate seemed shocked that Khal's friendly behavior was the complete opposite he wrote inside his letter.

Alde on the other hand stared at Khal with amazement before smiling even more and put his hand on his shoulder, "That's what I liked to hear. The best thing to say to start a blossoming friendship!"

Though, deep inside his heart Alde was laughing like a maniac.

'Blossoming friendship my ass! I will get close to you and your friends, then torture you before killing you for good! I will even make that chick mine before sending her right after you!' sneered Alde inwardly, his eyes secretly taking glances at Liza's body behind Khal from time to time.

Khal, however, was no fool and as his guard was up before Alde he easily noticed that move from him, thus a hint of coldness flashed inside his eyes but decided to remain calm.

Instead, he smiled wider too and put his hands on Alde's shoulder too, "Haha, I like the sound of that!"

People around them immediately broke into a huge uproar upon hearing his answer as this meant huge news!

Alde was from the Ourvi Family, one of the strongest and leading figures on the Southern Continent, thus if Alde wanted to befriend with Khal that meant he wanted him into his family!

And as it seemed to be the case, it meant Khal was no longer touchable for normal people as he now had the backing of the Ourvi Family!

And just who could be brave and bold enough to wage war against not only a Cultivator that was powerful but also had the support of one of the biggest families on the Southern Continent? Of course, only a complete dumbhead would or someone with balls bigger than the heavens itself!

However, what none of them knew and would have believed was that the exact 'fool' they were talking about was standing right before their very eyes, holding Alde's arm with a wide smile etched on his face.

-

After celebrating his arrival and his formed 'friendship' with Alde, Khal was brought into Principal Jas's room, where only the teachers and himself were allowed to be.

"You did a great work kid! Especially the way you killed those worms, I liked it! A real man should be just like you!" said Raffin with a wide grin, his wide palm patting Khal powerfully on the shoulder.

"Splendid job." nodded Scarlett, her eyes now holding a gentle glint whenever she looked at Khal.

"You should have gone to the head and you would have won, but still, you did well," exclaimed Connor too from the side.

Jane and the rest said similar things, all of them congratulating Khal for his achievements.

"Now that everyone is here..." after clearing his throat and sitting back into his chair, Jas began to talk, silencing everyone in the room in a wink.

"First of all, let me gratulate you once again, you performed way beyond all of our expectations."

"Schreeech!" crying up loudly, that made Jas shift his gaze at her, Rubie seemed insulted as she wasn't complimented even though she helped too!

"Haha, you too Rubie, you performed incredibly well!"

Upon hearing Jas's voice Rubie closed her eyes into two crescent moons and fluttered her wings gently; it seemed now she felt much better than a few seconds ago.

"Haha, now then." Jas waved his hands and a golden card materialized between his fingers.

"Please accept this gift from me and everyone else present here."

"What is that?" Khal's interest was piqued upon seeing the gold card, thus asked.

"With this card, you can buy 1 item freely in the Cultivator's Organization. Let it be Secret Art, a new weapon, armor, or something else, you can use this whenever you want."

Khal seemed shocked by the golden card and asked immediately, "I can even buy a weapon from any Tier? For example a sword from the World Tier?"

However, Jas just simply laughed at that question and shook his head helplessly, "I like the way you think, but do you think World Tier weapons are like apples on trees, growing everywhere?"

"I..."

Jas just smiled even more and handed the gold card to Khal, "Obviously, if you can find a weapon to your liking that is on the World Tier you can buy it, yes, but in Moon City, I hardly assume you will find any."

Khal grabbed the gold card from Jas and after inspecting it he bowed, "Thank you very much!"

"This was only natural." waved Jas his hand, as though didn't want to see Khal be this formal and humble upon something he should be proud of!

"Well, anyway, from me this was everything. If no one else wants to say anything to you, you are free to go."

Khal glanced around but seeing as all of them shook their heads he turned toward Jas and bowed.

"Then if you excuse me..."

Walking out of the room, Khal closed the door behind his back and glanced at the golden card in his grasp.

"I wonder if I can find something interesting."

-

Walking down the streets all the way to the Cultivator's Organization, Khal stepped inside the facility and walked before a table on the side.

Behind that, a woman he knew from the past was standing calmly with a nonchalant gaze, her eyes fixed on something that was out of sight from Khal's side.

"Hi, I want to use this, I hope you can help me." Khal put his golden card gently on the top of the counter, his face holding a gentle smile.

"Please, give me a mo-" Noelle was about to say something when suddenly her eyes widened upon noticing the golden card, thus she had to raise her gaze to see who the individual was.

However, when she did, her eyes opened even wider, making Khal fear her beautiful eyes will fall out of their sockets if she doesn't blink fast!

"It's you!" said Noelle but realizing her improper behavior she cleared her throat and calmed herself down, "I'm sorry, where are my manners."

Pushing to the side whatever she held behind the counter, Noelle smiled and asked, "What can I do for you?"

Khal seeing this grinned even more and tapped on the golden card that he put on the counter, "I want to use this, thus I thought you can help me."

"Oh, of course, I can! Please follow me," said Noelle, immediately walking toward a door on the sides.

Khal nodded and after picking up the card followed Noelle, curious where she will lead him.
