"Are you sure about this? That place is much more dangerous than you believe it to be."
Inside a spacious room, Jas was sitting behind his desk while he stared at the young man who stood before him with a calm gaze.
"Yes, I have already decided about this. I only came here to tell you this." Khal nodded, his complexion collected.
Jas stared at Khal's face for a pretty long time before closed his eyes and sighed.
"I see, then I have nothing more to say. But at the very least, can you tell me what makes you travel to the Western Continent so urgently? Maybe we can help you."
Khal nodded and told them how he hit a bottleneck with his cultivation and how he needed exterior help for him to unseal his Essence Path.
"Hmm... Yeah, it's quite a troublesome situation indeed and I don't think there is anything we can give you to make you unseal your path." Jas nodded with a pondering look.
"I know, that is why I decided to go to the Western Continent. I found out that there is a region which could help me, so I will give it a try."
Jas glanced at Khal and nodded. He knew that Khal's situation was very complex which needed external aid at all costs or he will remain stuck at his current level without him having the chance to progress any further.
Though, he also knew what kind of place the Western Continent really was, thus why he was rather worried about his safety. But alas, as Khal was no longer a disciple of Moon Academy, he had no choice but to shake his head helplessly and accept his decision.
"Just make sure not to do anything reckless. Cultivators in the Western Continent are famous for their vicious and crazy nature, so try to avoid conflicts at all costs."
"I will, thank you." Khal bowed with respect before turning around and leaving the room.
Once the door was shut, Jas glanced at Logan, who was sitting next to a window all this time, and asked, "Will you follow him?"
Logan, who sat calmly on the side with his gaze fixed at the scenery outside shook his head.
"I won't. I am not his nanny or something like that. He has to experience the full cruelty of this world all by himself without others' need of help. That's what will make him become a great cultivator."
"And you are not afraid he will die and make you lose the chance to see if his source of power has any connection with yours at all?" Jas asked calmly.
Logan this time didn't answer immediately and remained silent.
Only after a while later did he avert his gaze from the window and tilted his head backward, staring at the ceiling together rather lazily.
"We already know the answer, don't we? His bracelet has nothing to do with 'them'. Even if it has, it's obvious he has no special connection with the creators so it does not matter for me what happens with him."
Jas listened silently to what Logan said, and only after a while later did he say, "Yeah, you are right. But still... If he does, that not only will be a huge loss for the Moon Sect in the Second Realm, but also all the humans in every Realm and you are perfectly clear of this fact too."
Logan shifted his gaze at Jas and after pondering for a while sighed, "Okay... I will think about it."
Meanwhile, Khal already went to meet with Liza, telling her he will be gone for a while.
"What? You will go to the Western Continent? I will come too then!" Liza was ready to go and take her stuff from her room, but Khal stopped her just in time before she had the chance to open the space crack with her key.
"No, you will stay here. You still have to become a Real Cultivator and concentrate on strengthening your Talents, so you will not come with me." Khal talked with seriousness, his tone holding a kind of firmness that tolerated nothing but abidance.
Liza was surprised to see and hear Khal talk like this, and as a fact, it caught her out of her guard, making her unable to talk for a rather long time.
However, what she didn't know was that the real reason why Khal made her stay was not that he wanted her to increase her strength, but because he feared he will fail to protect her in the place where he goes.
Even though he felt awful that he had to go so far away, leaving Liza behind under Jane's, Rubie's, and the Moon Academy's protection was a much better choice than bringing her into the Western Continent where people killed each other on a daily basis, without receiving any punishment.
Khal stared at Liza in silence for a while before he took out something from his spatial ring and handing them over to Liza.
"Take this. It's a Soul Flower. If you consume its petals your soul will get stronger. It will definitely help you when you will try to comprehend your Essence Path."
Liza glanced at the blue flower that only had two petals and her eyes immediately widened with disbelief. She knew what a Soul Flower was and just how hard it was to find one, so she could hardly believe that Khal gave something so precious to her.
But who would guess what would happen if she founds out that Khal has already eaten five petals and those two are only the remainings? She would certainly fall unconscious from pure shock, no question about that.
"And as for you." Khal glanced at Rubie before taking out several yellow pills that emitted a strong scent that was similar to strong Beasts.
"Here, eat this." Khal threw ten pills at Rubie, who quickly flew into the air and swallowed all ten pills with ease.
Bam!
And once she did gulp down the last pill, her body exploded with great strength, while her cultivation base soared above the clouds like a rocket.
"Schreeech!!"
With a majestic cry, Rubie extended her wings wide before vanishing from the spot where she was and reappearing on Khal's shoulder in the very next second without any signs!
"She... She became a True Beast! She reached the Sixth Cultivation Stage!" Liza exclaimed out with awe, staring at Rubie on Khal's shoulder with a loosened jaw.
