16 Chapter 16: A Week Later

A week passed and the constructions for the Mansion and Star Labs already finished.

During this week, some of my shadow clones have been training with the League of Assassins, training for hand to hand combat using the Sharingan. I can take on anyone with super powers but it's best to have some experience fighting people without them.

I have also been communicating with Kurama and he is less viscous than in the show so I guess that was useful.

I didn't give any blueprints to Ra's al Ghul and took over the project from Burton Crowne. I figured it would take them way too long and only wanted them to get the materials ready. With their vast wealth and resources, the material gathering wasn't really a problem.

Instead of real workers, I used clones in disguise. I did that because real people will be questioned if they have any connections to these structures but if the people who worked on it didn't really exist then no one can actually question them. With the help of Chakra natures, magic elements, Alchemy, and super speed, the construction finished in no time.

Of course, the people around will be suspicious but it will pass eventually. Ra's took care of all the legal transactions with his somewhat endless connections. He already contacted all the famous scientists in this era and invited them for an opening ceremony for the Star Lab in Metropolis.

With the help of the System, I set up the Star Labs with various scientific equipment from the modern era. I am going to speed up the scientific discoveries for this timeline but I won't be revealing everything to the public. I'm thinking of making my own country in the future, a place isolated from the world and thousand times more advanced, something like Marvel's Wakanda I guess.

I set up an invisible force field around the Star Labs to prevent people from getting in, I also set up a few shadow clones as guards all around. Only people with special access will be able to enter these facilities.

No doubt all the scientist will lose their minds when they see the technology in this place but if someone decides not to join I will be wiping their memories of an event that takes place here. I don't want to force a bunch of old people to work for me. I will just implant how everything works with the Mind Alteration skill for those who decide to stay.

I'm thinking of exploring the Metagene. I can find a way to safely activate them and improve their different abilities. I could analyze the Assassins from the League for the Metagene and train them accordingly. This way no meta will be going around wreaking havoc or even playing hero.

Even though I'm expanding on the scientific side of things, I want to explore the magical side as well. If I can find the Helmet of Fate I might be able to learn a few things from it.

I have been looking for Vandal Savage all over the world but the man knows how to keep hidden. I can't seem to find him anywhere, I even got Ra's looking for him.

After the Mansion was finished we started living there. I designed the interior in a modern style to make things easier for Diana and me. Diana and I have been spending a lot of time together. Diana had to learn about all the modern devices in the mansion and she was curious about almost everything and I really enjoyed that. There is a neighborhood gathering up this evening and I'm thinking of going there with Diana. They basically just sing, dance and have fun for a while. I may be able to introduce some new kinds of food to them. Maybe get a cooking skill? Probably should.

'Yeah...'

I went to the kitchen and bought all the necessary ingredients for me to try out cooking. As I was gathering up the ingredients Diana who upstairs came down to find me and walked into the kitchen.

"Oh? Are you going to cook something?" She asks raising an eyebrow.

"Yeah! I have never tried cooking food in this world before so I was thinking of trying to make a few recipes. Would you like to help?" I think it will be fun cooking with Diana.

"Oh, sure! But I don't really know how to cook." Diana says with a worried expression.

"That's alright. We can figure it out as we go." I guess why would a Princess need to cook huh.

"Well, this is the first one. It's a Chicken dish from my world. I figured we can try it." I show her a paper with the recipe written on it.

"Oh? What are these ingredients? I have never even seen any of these before in Amazon...." She was puzzled by the name of the ingredients since there were some not yet used by this time period.

"They are ingredients from my world. I will tell you what they are called." We get started on preparing the ingredients and cooking immediately. I try to teach her a few things like cutting the vegetables and handling the spices. She picks it up really quickly and tries to help out as best as she could.

We prepared a lot of types of dishes, including desserts. I bought a lot of alcohol as well to spice things up. It was finally time for us to get prepared to go to the gathering up.

We got prepared after taking a shower to clean up from the cooking mess. It was pretty refreshing as well. I had clones in disguise carry everything for us. After making sure everything was in place we headed out of the mansion towards the party.
