The furniture, portraits, and decorations were simple yet elegant. It was apparent Su Feng lived alone, but in such a large home, it made her curious.
Song Ren looked around the room, eyeing every detail, and her heart settled. Around Su Feng, he always made her feel nervous or calm. It had been like that for years, watching him from a distance, wanting him, but not having him. Denying her feelings as if it were easy to avoid. He was handsome and intelligent, and everything many girls wanted. Back in sports festivals, girls and friends surrounded him like ants on a hill; and Song Ren would be standing near a bench alone as she witnessed his glory. But even though she pined after him, she never once showed or revealed her feelings. Song Ren didn't want to give him the satisfaction of winning. Now, she truly lost, because she confessed to him first, but in the end, she's winning too.
Su Feng took her coat, and she rubbed her arms from the slight chill. Seeing her reaction, Su Feng turned up the heater, and the room gradually warmed.
After moments of silence, Song Ren delved the courage to ask firmly, "Why did you bring me here?" With a side-eye glance, she saw his beautiful lips curl into a smile. His charming face enveloped her sight, his stare was playful, but it turned into hunger, thirst, eagerness, and everything in between. His stare incessantly provoked her to feel warm. Her core pooling as he stepped forward. Her heart beat hastened erratically.
He was so beautiful. Every glorious inch of him was beautiful. He swiftly approached Song Ren, grasping her face in between his hands, tucking strands behind her ears, searching for the light that shone in her eyes. "Come with me," he said gently. Her breath hitched, and she tried to calm her breathing, but it was no use. She nodded slightly, permitting him to lead her to wherever they had to go. If it's Su Feng, she will follow him to the edge of the earth, and she hated how much control he had over her. But in the back of her mind, she was inexplicably happy. She loved him truly. And she did not realize it until she said those words out loud.
Su Feng had grasped her hand tightly, locking their fingers together. Su Feng leads her up the stairs to his bedroom. It was massive yet simplistic. The bed was king sized, and she gasped. "There's lots of room in here," he casually said. But Song Ren's cheeks burned like an iron rod of a fireplace.
Song Ren breathed out deeply, but he leads her near the bed. Slowly, she sat on it, her chest thundering like a storm. Then all of a sudden, he reached over to his nightstand. He picked up a black box, opening it until it sprang wide, revealing a diamond ring. Song Ren was at a loss for words, parting her lips, trying to comprehend the air between them.
The pear-shaped diamond ring was symmetrical, perfectly aligning the centre with the round edges, both sides identical. The band was golden, and it reminded her of a teardrop. "A teardrop ring," she breathed, her eyes wide in amazement. "The teardrop ring resembles resiliency," he began, "It compliments a bold woman who knows what she wants and how to achieve that."
Song Ren's eyes stared unbelievably into his ice-blue eyes, that appeared to be gentle like the calm waves of a river. His cheeks were red from his nerves, and he carefully asked the question as one of his knees were rested flat against the floor, "Will you marry me, Ren?" he popped the question nervously. Song Ren paused. He waited until he asked again, "Will you do me the honour of being my wife?" She paused again, blinking profusely. But after a while, she nodded harshly, still dazed without even having the word to answer. Song Ren wondered how he knew her so well. She preferred private engagements over public engagements, and it was not over the top, it was simple, quick, and between the two of them so intimately.
Su Feng slipped the ring on her finger, perfectly fitting. Dazed, she raised her hand, the diamond glittering with colours from the room lighting. Song Ren stared at it, quite unbelieving. She glanced back down at Su Feng, who looked at her with admiration and appreciation. At that moment, Song Ren felt like she should return the favour.
She asked him with her sweet smokey tone, "Will you now take responsibility for me now?" Su Feng gulped, his throat bobbing, his breathing deepening, "I have been left dry for some time," he said, "Waiting for you." And like that, Su Feng pounced on her. He kissed her enticing soft lips, quenching the thirst he desired for so long.
Song Ren was the woman he wanted, above all the other females from his past; she was the only thing that occupied his mind when he both hated and loathed her. But he loved her now. She wrapped her arms around his neck, tightening the gap between them as he fell over her. She looked at him seductively, and his chest rose, pounding as much as his friend throbbed below. Su Feng looked at her, her gorgeous black hair curtaining her figure. He returned to her lips, and she bit him, testing his patience. Su Feng had dealt with her teasing enough, and he unleashed himself upon her.
