Chapter 10 Borrow It To Me

She finally returned to normal!

Myra took a deep breath.

Her good friend worked in a domestic second-class fashion magazine as an editor in chief... assistant.

A workaholic who could be on call twenty four hours a day.

Evelyn often disappeared suddenly in the middle of their get-togethers. Sometimes, it was the novel things she found, and sometimes, it was an emergency call. Anyway, she often disappeared like a Ninja.

Myra thought she could make friends with her only because... both of them didn't have any other friends.

So, forget it.

Taking a sip of coffee, Myra told Evelyn what had happened in the past two days.

Hearing this, Evelyn's face turned red with anger. She opened her eyes wide and pounded the table. "How can they do this to you? How can they be so despicable? Look, I have told you that Archer is not suitable for you, I think he is unreliable. But I didn't expect that he would cheat on you and have an affair with Lydia! What's more, Lydia and her mother conspired to sell you to Bald Xie? What a shameless mother and daughter! These bitches! What have they done? They are going too far!! No, I have to find them! How dare you bully my woman? Do you want to die? I will get even with them!"

Evelyn stood up and was about to leave.

"Hey, hey, hey!"

Myra quickly pulled her back and pressed her on the seat. "Don't go. You are so imprudent. I will have to clean up the mess for you if you go to get even with them!"

Evelyn was not reconciled, "So you just put up with it?"

Myra glanced at her and said, "Am I the one so easy to get bullied? Of course I can't tolerate them! "

Then she smiled and winked at Evelyn, "But I'm really tired today. I don't want to go home. Can I live in your place?"

She smiled happily with a pretty face, which made Evelyn less angry. "You can stay as long as you want in my place."

"And clothes? Do you allow me to wear them?"

"Whatever! Except for the underwear."

The two smiled at each other, but then, Evelyn suddenly put her hand on her forehead and said, "Alas!"

"What's wrong?" asked Myra in confusion.

Evelyn frowned, "Why is my forehead a l

ittle hot?"

Myra paused and almost couldn't help laughing. Look at the time she needed to respond...

But she said, "Who knows? Let's go."

Then she grabbed a silk scarf and walked out of the coffee shop with Evelyn arm in arm.

Before Evelyn could figure out why her forehead was burning pain, her eyes were drawn by the silk scarf again.

She nudged Myra with her elbow and said, "Well, do you think that man will ask you to return this scarf?"

Myra couldn't help laughing, "He asked me to take it and I said I would return it back, but he didn't want it."

"Then... Can you lend it to me?"

"Okay, but you have to return it to me afterwards," said Myra, nodded.

Evelyn immediately beamed, "No problem! I promise!"

"By the way, what's so special about this silk scarf that makes you so obsessed with it?" Myra smiled helplessly.

Evelyn explained, "Your scarf looks like the one our editor in chief wants to rent for her shooting event. When I first saw it, I was shocked and thought it was that one. But I just heard you say the origin of this scarf, and I don't think it's possible. Anyway, I have only seen the photos. They must be similar."

"Why do you think it's impossible?" Myra asked curiously.

Speaking of this, Evelyn became interested. She said happily, "The scarf was handmade and the workmanship is very complicated. Moreover, the color change of handmade printing and dyed cannot be duplicated. There is no way to have two same scarves of that one in the world!

"Besides, that scarf has been reserved by Karrie Magazine. Even if he wanted to sell it, the price must be more than two hundred thousand dollars. He must be a big shot to spend such a big sum of money. It was impossible for him to be so casually... give it to you."

Myra rolled her eyes at her, but of course she knew what she meant.

Not to mention it was a one night stand, there was no need for him to give her such an expensive thing. Even if he was willing to give it to her, Darren would imply the price of it to her if he did not tell her directly.

Thinking of this, Myra asked, "If that is the case, why do you still take it?"
