130 A Savage Promotion

Name:Devil's Rise Author:Dan_Ryder
I called the red-feathered raptor and searched his soul to find out more about the cave since he had once called this place home. From his memories, I found that the raptors avoided the area that the Void Ore was in. Surprisingly, the raptors used to be lead by a grown one, but he had lost his life when treading close to the Void Ore.

Shi Da seemed to have been quite lucky to get away with his life after checking out that area. Something that could kill a Tier-4 entity was not to be underestimated.

Now I had two grand goals to accomplish in my time in the Savage Land. Procuring the Serpent Cedar tree and gaining all that Void Ore. I would mine that Void Ore dry! How could this greedy young lord ever part with so many precious resources? With the Void Ore, I could even carry the entire Serpent Cedar tree out with me and replant it on my fief!

I closed off the Void Ore area and told Shi Da to just excavate the other areas he could find. There were no dangers in the red-feathered raptors' memories, so everything else was mine.

Two years passed in a heartbeat and I was close to breaking into Indigo Alchemist. I now had several rooms devoted to my astounding greed. But all my work over the past three years would be for nothing if I couldn't break into Indigo Alchemist and excavate that Void Ore.

I entered my refinement room and planned to seclude myself until I made the breakthrough to Indigo Alchemist. I had to remove the noose hanging over my neck. Only then could I plan carefully to take away all these gains. If I had to stay here for 10 years I would. All these resources were worth far too much!

I devoted myself to making a healing Blue Violet pill-core. The most important thing was for me to survive my exchanges with these Viscounts. I didn't want to be half-dead next time I fought in a life and death battle with no means for survival. I had learned my lesson well after the exchange with the group of raptors.

This young lord would never let something so embarrassing happen again. For the Blue Violet pill-core, I needed to mix a total of six ingredients. This was much more difficult than the four I had to mix to form a Dark Violet pill core. Thankfully, the recipe I was using only required one Tier-4 ingredient to refine.

The core ingredient for my crafting was White Vunna Bud, it was a Tier-4 ingredient which I had collected quite a bit of. White Vunna Bud had a very strong medical essence, if consumed raw it was more like poison than medicine. To fully bring out the healing properties of White Vunna Bud, it needed to be mixed with several ingredients to calm it down.

Savage Beast blood was just as tyrannical as White Vunna Bud, but when mixed together with the proper supplements they would come to a healthy balance.

My mastery of my quasi-Viscount Fire Essence had become profound over the past two years. With a little more effort I could promote it to the next step. I was just a bit away from promoting my Fire Dao to the Viscount level, but I didn't know when I would have that crucial moment of enlightenment for me to breakthrough.

If I was fortunate, this crafting would allow me to take that final step. Shi Da had not been a slouch in his alchemy during the past two years either. He had broken through to Grape Alchemist after a year with all the Tier-3 herbs he had at his disposal. He had already become a peak-Grape Alchemist over the past two years. This young lord couldn't have his mining minion besting him, could he?

I strengthened my resolve to be successful with this crafting after thinking about Shi Da overcoming me. That can never happen!

I formed a stable pill embryo with my quasi-Viscount Fire Essence, then threw in all the ingredients at once. My flames were raging, trying to contain the violent medical essence from all the ingredients. It all came down to this!

It was a delicate balancing act, controlling my flames and attempting to merge the ingredients. One part of the cauldron was burning hot while another part was ice cold. Each of the ingredients needed a different temperature of flame to blend. Normally you would mix Tier-4 ingredients one by one to form a Blue Violet pill core.

But with such violent ingredients, it was best to just throw them all in the furnace and try to reel in their efficiency. The violence of the ingredients could be used to simplify the crafting process as long as your flame control was on a high enough level. I believed wholeheartedly in my flame control after practicing it over the past three years.

Slowly but surely the medical essences came to a calm state. Before they were a raging tide hoping to destroy my cauldron at any moment. With my tender guidance, I reigned them in coming together to form my first Blue Violet pill-core!

I had succeeded on the first attempt! I was now a bonafide Indigo Alchemist.

"Eat your heart out, Zat!" I screamed after I succeeded.

"Why would I do that?" said a laughing voice as the entire area around me was frozen in time and a grand portal was created in the middle of my room.

I couldn't move a single muscle as I sat staring at the portal, as out poked the source of my nightmares!
