147 Mother Is Too Fierce

"Who's in charge of this place? Come out now, I want to know how my grandson Orneck died," said the elderly voice as the building we were sitting in was destroyed.

Susie looked at the old devil and arrogantly said, "I killed him, he offended me. Do you have a problem with it, old geezer?"

"You!" said the old devil as he coughed up blood because a little girl would be so audacious to admit to her crimes in front of him.

"Two clanless devil residing in my Zagell Empire's borders dare to kill a Zagell Empire descendant! I'll kill you now to calm his departed soul!" said the old devil as he sent forth a powerful attack right at us!

The attack didn't reach us however as space shattered destroying the old geezer's attack.

"Old fool, you clearly can feel my mark on my children but still dared to attack them," said my mother as she came out from within the void.

"Who are you? I didn't feel any mark. These clearly are clanless devils!" said the old geezer as he backed up from the shattering space.

"A little Arch Duke dare stop this old Kings attacks! I don't care what Empire you are from, I'll kill you all here now!" said the old geezer as he transformed into a gigantic grey pit fiend, pulled out a giant halberd, and sent a volley of attacks to my mother.

His pit fiend form was a monstrous giant devil with huge jagged teeth and enormous curved tusks jutting out of his face. His body became equestrian, with four gigantic legs and a long reptilian tail. He had vestigial wings on his back that obviously could no longer be used for flying in his new gigantic form. His eyes and mouth overflowed with fel flames. It was a truly monstrous form.

I couldn't understand the mysteries of their battle as it was way behind my realm. All I noticed was my mother stood still as her eyes turned pitch black dotted with stars. Looking in them was like looking into the starry sky. The attacks the pit fiend sent flew off like they were nothing. The King's rage destroyed the entire town, but we sat there safe and sound behind my mother.

"I am Diana Rossen, princess of the Holy Rossen Empire. Devils are not allowed to brazenly kill devils of future generations. This is an iron-clad rule of the Xertzul Abyss. How dare you try to kill my children," said my mother as she calmly deflected the attacks, not even releasing her true form.

"At most you should have locked them up until the facts were determined. I bet you figured you'd assassinate them then seek asylum at the Zagell Empire capital for your crimes. If you had done that you would have gotten your entire Empire destroyed," said Diana as she walked towards the old geezer as she continued deflecting his attacks as more of the surrounding land was destroyed.

"This princesses father recently broke through to Emperor, so now we are the Holy Rossen Empire, anyone that has a problem with our Empire's name can go look for him. Your old Zagell Emperor foolishly looked for my father to start trouble, and now Zagell Empire has but one Emperor!" said Diana as she continued moving closer to the monstrous pit fiend.

"Lies! Lies! Lies!" said the old pit fiend in his guttural voice.

"I may have been in seclusion. But I know old ancestor Emperor Zagell is powerful beyond measure, he would never die to a young brat like that. You're just trying to get in my head to distract me from the battle at hand. Soon I will mount your head on my wall, you despicable insect!" said the old pit fiend as his attacks intensified in rage.

'If I knew they were descendants of the Rossen Kingdom, I would have never attacked them,' thought the old pit fiend as he realized he couldn't defeat smash this insect who was only an Arch-Duke.

He knew better than anyone not to mess with Rossen Kingdom descendants. But his rage at the death of his grandson had led him astray. He had mounted a tiger and couldn't get off!

Rossens were the most arrogant devils in the entire Xertzul Abyss, even when they were a Kingdom they walked around like they were above the Empires. Now they had even grown bold enough to proclaim themselves a Holy Empire, putting themselves above all the other Empires. Their arrogance knew no bounds!

"Not even the current Zagell Emperor's protection could save you from my wrath, old fool," said Diana as she released her Nephilim form.

My mother's form was much more majestic and complete than my own. I stared in awe at the beauty of her form. It was elegance within simplicity. She did not become a giant monster like the old pit fiend. All she had were the two black wings at her back. Even her horns had receded a bit.

I watched as my mother waved her hand as a sea of space blades came out that chopped up the old pit fiend's monstrous form while he couldn't put up an ounce of resistance. The battle was finished within mere seconds after she had released her true form.

Just like that, a glorious Devil King was dead.

[How'd this tigress beget a kitten like you?]

Shut up, you damned dog!

My mother was truly fierce, this was my first time watching her battle. My arrogance grew as I palmed my beard, thinking.

Maybe it's time to return to my old ways now that I know I have a powerful backer in the Xertzul Abyss? Who dares stop this young lord's tyranny when his mother can slaughter Kings like cutting grass?

"James, my dear son. You worried your poor mother! But you've been slacking in your time away," said my mother as she came to hug me.

"Mother! I've become a battle master, I have not slacked off one bit in my training," I quickly said as I fought back from my mother's embrace. This young lord is a man now, he doesn't need hugs from mom! I was powerless to stop her from hugging me.

"You are this princesses son, being a Rank 1 battle master is hardly enough to warrant praise. Your little sister went easy on you last time just to save you a bit of face. Under this princess's guidance, how could she only amount to that?" said my mother as she brushed against my hair, holding me tight.

"Susie, fight James again and show him no mercy. I don't care how many of those useless souls of his you destroy he must learn the difference between the weak and truly strong less he brings shame to this princess," said my mother as she finally freed me from her clutches proceeding to throw me off a cliff.
