Chapter 2 - Rebirth, new parents, friends and roses!

"Ohhh! OHHH!!! Is this what I think it is!?"

"Indeed it is my boy! It is Black Clover's Word Soul Magic! The one used by the Devil himself! Such good luck indeed! Hahaha!"

"Hahaha!!! This is gonna be good! There are so many ways I could use this! Oh yeah, by the way do I get a grimoire with it?"

"But of course you do, magic in the world of black clover can't show its true potential without one after all! It will appear inside of your {STORAGE} spell when you reach fifteen years of age."

"Sweet! Thanks horse face!"

"Stahp! *Starts sobbing again*"

"Sorry, sorry I won't call you horse face again geez…"

"Thank you my boy. Thank you…*tear falls down from his mask's eye*"

"How did yo- Never mind. Anyway can you send me on my way now? I'm about to have to deal with the inconveniences of being an infant! I'm not really looking forward to it so I'd like to get it over with…"

"Of course my boy! Remember to brush your teeth before bed and go to sleep early! Would you like for me to give you some lunch for the journey? *Takes Lunch box out.* I have some home ma-"

"GEEZ Are you my mother?! God I hope not."

"I'm right here sonny! He he he!"

"I swear to g- no never mind I'm never using that phrase again! I'm just gonna tell you to not pull any weird shit OK!?"

"Of course, of course you're on your own after I send you down to Earthland! The only help you will be provided with will be being able to sense if someone is a participant of the game or not. But that will only be activated when you all reach the age of 10, so until then you should be relatively safe… Probably."

"I see, that would certainly be helpful but why do we have to wait until we're all 10 years old?"

"Well… I guess some Gods enjoy seeing friendships be broken apart after two people learn they're actually enemies or something. Oh and sometimes they decide to stay together until the end forming teams because of this… Making the final even more thrilling! Or so they say…"

"So you're all sadists huh?"

"I guess you could say that. Now go and have fun out there my boy! I'm sending you off."

The Horse masked god waves his hand and Arthur starts to glow and slowly becomes brighter and brighter.

"Oh, so you won't deny it then? And yes I will have fun don't you worry about that! Now then, let's GOOooooo…"

While yelling at the top of his lungs, Arthur blacked out…

Earthland X765:

In a remote village somewhere in the country side, a new life is born.

"Madam, it's a boy! Congratulations!"

An Old lady said while giving the baby to his mother.

[OOOoooooooooo!?... What? Oh I guess I've just been born! Sweet!]

"Waaaahhhh! Waaahh!" The cries of a newborn resounded in the room.

[Oh now that's just embarrassing! I guess I can't really speak right now? All that comes out is crying noises, so much for my magic then…]

"There, there mommy's here for you." The woman who ċȧrėssed Arthur had long blonde hair and beautiful sky blue eyes. To say it simply, she was gorgeous!

[Sweet! My mom's a babe! If I take after her I'd probably look pretty good too huh?]

"What shall you name him Madam?" Asked the old woman who apparently helped deliver the baby.

"His name will be Arthur. Arthur Wulf."

[Same name huh? It was probably Horse face's doing. Not that I mind, I like my name!]

"Yes, that a good name for a strong man!" A handsome Black haired man with black colored eyes walked into the room and started talking.

"Thank you Eli, you've made me a father! Hahaha!" He seemed quite excited at the thought and why wouldn't he be? His child had just been born.

[So this is my father huh? Seems cool enough and he's handsome too! I approve. It would certainly be great if I obtained his looks! Hehehe... I guess it's guaranteed I'll be good looking now!]

"Would you like to hold him dear?" Eli the mother of Arthur asked her husband

"Can I? *picks up Arthur* Hey there little guy, I'm your daddy! Hehe" The mother and the old woman smiled while looking at the new father with his son.

[Yes, I guessed. Now put me down please! You have no idea how terrifying it is to have a giant pick you up in the air until you've experienced it!]

This was a normal family in a normal village having a seemingly normal child. Or so they would have thought.

(Arthur's POV)

So six months have passed since the day I was born and I've learned a couple of things so far.

1: Being a baby SUCKS! Exactly like I thought it would. You need someone to help you for everything! Even going to the damn bathroom! I feel like I've lost some of my dignity…

2: My mother's name is Elizabeth or Eli like my father calls her for short. His name is Richard. So that makes them Elizabeth Wulf and Richard Wulf.

3: I can use magic but it is currently very weak and I can't use any powerful spells. Maybe my magic power supply is too low, or perhaps it simply hasn't fully awakened yet.

4: I live in a village called Roseyard. There are a lot of roses here and every house's yard is full of them so you can basically guess the name!

And that concludes my report!

Time to crawl around the house and find something to ease my boredom!

I managed to get out of my crib and crawled towards the door. But it's closed and for me who is unable to reach the doorknob, basically locked. But fear not! I have the power of MAGIC! {OPEN} Sesame! *doorknob turns and the door opens wide* Sweet! Now that's how you use Word Magic! Let's go on a thrilling adventure around the house!

Walking out the door I see my first obstacle! An angry mother…

"Arthur how did you get out of your crib again? Or open the door in fact? Come here you…"

Of course my new parents do take me outside to play and stuff, that's how I learn how many damn roses there are in this village. Every damn house has them. Be it in the front or backyard. Hell some even have a bunch of roses inside their houses! How do they not get sick of seeing roses all the time?

Anyway I guess I'll continue doing what I've been mostly doing for the past six months.

Absorbing the Ethernano in the air via meditation.

Good ol' Zeref taught me this one!

Ya' see to wizards magic power the equivalent of life force. The so called Ethernanos are the building blocks of magic power. The air is full of them and you can absorb them into your body. Ethernanos that are thus absorbed become the person's magic power and meditation is the most effective method of magic absorption!

And magic I shall absorb! But I don't know if it's really taking me anywhere… In the beginning I couldn't use magic so I started this training and it did in fact work. I was able to cast 1 word spell after 1 month of practice, similar to the *OPEN* spell I used on the door. Currently I can do that 6 times. So for now my magic power supply is increasing by only 1 word spell per month.

I guess that's fine. I am a baby after all. I remember Zeref telling Mavis that with Ethernano the vessel determines the limit of each wizard's magic power, so I can't really expect to have a major breakthrough while still being unable to walk now can I?

About two and a half years passed and I've started to like my parents more than I thought I would, it's like I'm seeing them as a mother and father even though I vividly remember my parents from my past life. Perhaps this is the effect of some kind of basic instinct? Truly fascinating…

Anyway, today is my third birthday and I got to meet some kids my age. Their names are Matthew and Lilith.

Richard or my dad I guess decided it'd be a good idea to invite them to my birthday party! And now I have some friends... Sweet! Nice job Dad!

We introduced ourselves and after eating some birthday cake we went outside to play like the little kids we are.

Right now it seems like the ȧduŀts are having a conversation so I think it might be a good idea to go and eavesdrop on them! I want to test some spells so let's see what I can learn about our new neighbours…

I told the two kids to wait outside and play while I go get us something to play with. Now I just need to cast {ERASE PRESENCE} and I can now enter without being noticed! Oh! And I'd better also cast {MUTE SOUND} to make sure they can't hear me.

The six parents were all sitting together at the table and having a conversation, oblivious to the fact I'm basically right next to them. It's like I'm invisible! Sweet!

"Thank you for inviting us Richard, it's nice to see the kids have found a new friend to play with here already." Said Matthew's father.

"Oh no please, there is no need. It's me who should be thanking you in fact! Arthur doesn't really have anyone close to his age in town, the closest being 6 years old. So it's good for him to finally have some friends his age.

"Ah, Let me pour you some tea, it's rather hot so be careful while drinking." Mommy Eli comes out bringing a tea pot and pours everyone a cup of Rose tea.

"Thank you Mrs. Wulf. *sips tea* Oh this is some nice tea!" Lilith's mom said with a smile.

"Hehe thank you rose tea is the village specialty after all. So anyway, what can you tell us about yourselves? What brings you to our little village?" Elizabeth asked

"Ah well, you see…" Lilith's mother stopped her sentence mid through and the atmosphere turned tense. Her husband then continued what she was about to say.

"We used to live in a small town near the sea. It 'was' called Lilyville."

[Was? Oh boy…]

"About a month and a half ago it was attacked by mad cultists. They killed the ȧduŀts and kidnapped all of the children only God knows they want they're planning on doing with them… The only reason we survived and managed to get away was because we had gone out fishing with our boat and weren't at home."

"I might be wrong but by Cultist do you mean… Zeref worshippers?" Richard asked.

"Yes. When we saw what was going on we quickly fled to the next nearest town down the coast where my brother and his family lived. We had them pack their things and started looking for a safe town farther inland and now we're here. Of course we also warned the other citizens and I heard someone send word to the Magic Council. I hope they do something about these cultists…"

"I see… The poor children, we can only hope the council will be able to save them."

Elizabeth seemed very concern about all of this. She twitched when child abduction was mentioned… Is she worried about me perhaps?

"Anyway, you're here now and you're safe so you don't have to worry about all of that! Let's talk about something else instead... Your house is still under construction right?"

"Well yes, we're planning on building a house big enough for both our families to live in. In the meantime we're all staying at the inn."

"Well in that case if you want I could help you out with the construction from tomorrow onward! I may not look it but I was the one who build this house you know! I'm quite proud of how well it turned out."

Richard tries to fix the dark atmosphere and they started talking on other normal topics.

In that case I guess I'll go back outside and see what Lilith and Matthew are up to, don't want them to think I abandoned them outside now do I?

But still… Zeref worshippers? Could it be the Tower of Heaven? They did kidnap an awful lot of people… Allot of children too.

If I remember correctly the Magic Council destroyed 7 of their towers but never found the 8th one which was in the original story and the one that kept Erza Scarlet as a slave.

I'll try to not think about it for now, as I am currently I can't do anything to them after all.

As for the thing I promised to take out and play with? Well let me just cast this spell real quick… {BALL} And there we go! Now we can play football or something.

"Hey Arthur what took you so long?" Asked Lilith seeming a tab bit irritated at being made to wait for over 10 minutes. Kids need attention I guess?

"Sorry, sorry I couldn't find where I left this ball at. Come on let's go and play over there."

"Okay (x2)" Both of them agreed. They're really nice kids aren't they?

The hours passed and it turned night so it was time to bid farewell to Matt and Lilith for today.

We decided we'd see each other tomorrow and I'm thinking about teaching them magic. It certainly would be interesting to teach magic to someone and maybe one day we could all go to Fairy Tail together!

Also I should probably start doing some physical training now that I'm three years old. I also think I might be able to do the same thing that Makarov's father Yuri Dreyar did and Absorb Ethernano while training my body, thus killing to birds with one stone! Of course I can't push myself too hard. That might cause more bad than good…

So I guess I'll probably just start with running and doing squats or something.

For now it's time to go to sleep. Oh and I have the perfect spell for that! {SLEEP}
