Chapter 44 - Small investor, Qian Fan....

Everyone started to chatter freely once the ears of media were away from their table. Everyone was chatting when Qian Fan announced that dinner was on him and anyone could order whatever they wanted, wine included.

Cast and crew cheered up at the name of the wine. Director Zhang hadn't let them touch the win during shooting days, but now that they were free, everyone wanted to have a taste of some wine. Everyone was excited about wine, especially free wine, except for Xin Mei.

Xin Mei was too engrossed in interviewing her friend that she ignored the announcement of Qian Fan.

"NanNan, why didn't you inform me you were coming to city B, for the press meeting?"

"I wanted to give you a surprise. Weren't you surprised upon seeing me among the other reporters?" Gu Nan grinned. "Yeye also wanted to accompany me but he didn't wish to throw the limelight on you. He knew his presence beside you would have created problems for you."

"He did right, but you did wrong by not informing me. By the way, how was your journey toward city B?"

"Don't ask me Meimei." Gu Nan groaned. "Your director had to find only this place to film the scenes? The roads to city B were so bad. I nearly vomited over my camera-man. I am already feeling anxious about the return journey. Only god can save me."

Xin Mei chuckled upon hearing her friend. "Stop laughing Meimei, this hotel is the only best thing in the city and that is also because this hotel is built in the half part of the palace. Otherwise, this city needs a full-blown development."

"Don't worry NanNan. I am sure that someone will look after this city. This city may not have any facility but this city is a heaven and I am in love with it."

"You and your love for nature," Gu Nan groaned. She piled up her plate with the food.

"Aren't you eating?" Gu Nan questioned upon seeing that Xin Mei hadn't touched her plate. She had also stopped sipping from her glass of wine.

"I have lost my appetite when Qian Fan announced that he is sponsoring the food. I don't need his charity." Xin Mie rubbed her forehead and leaned against her chair.

"You don't want to have it? It is your favorite."

Xin Mei gave a pointed look to Gu Nan. Gu Nan cut herself off by scooping food in her mouth.

Xin Mei could save herself by not eating the food from the party of Qian Fan but she couldn't save herself from drinking the wine. Every now and then, she was forced to drink wine. Many cast members had toasted their glass of wine with hers. They congratulated her for her first interview or for completing the first schedule of filming.

Xin Mei was drinking another glass of wine when she heard a loud commotion coming from the entry gate.

She turned to find Su Yuchen entering the hall. He was followed behind by Huang Chu and four bodyguards. Reporters who saw him quickly rushed toward him, to interview him. Gu Nan was also one of them.

"Mr. Su, congratulations upon becoming the youngest and richest billionaire of country. Would you like to say something about this?"

Xin Mei nearly spat out the wine upon hearing words of reporters. He was the richest billionaire in the country! She knew that he was rich but never thought that he was so rich. He was Richie rich!

Xin Mei looked in the direction of Su Yuchen with wide eyes. Her mouth was opening and closing like a goldfish.

"Mr. Su, is heritage entertainment also investing in the movie revenge?"

This question was asked from Su Yuchen but it was Qian Fan who started to sweat. His reputation now depended upon the answer of Su Yuchen.

"Yes, heritage entertainment is investing in Revenge. Basically, Revenge is a project of Heritage entertainment. I am investing in more than ninety-five percent. This is my movie. Due to some unseen situations, I am forced to give some investing rights to Qian Corporation because Miss Zhou here has waived her right to receive any payment from the movie. And being generous, I decided to make her remuneration as an investment from Qian corporations."

Simultaneous gasps could be heard at his reply. Not only an hour ago, Qian Fan was boasting about being an investor. He also boasted about what he was going to do for the movie. He was going to hire foreign expert's blah...blah...blah…! But the reality was something else.

His investment in the movie was nothing. It was Zhou Mingyu who had waived her rights to receive the payment. And it was good intentions of Su Yuchen that Qian Fan became an investor.

"Anything as you want to ask?" Su Yuchen spoke in his cold voice.

"Mr. Su, will you talk with us about the development projects of Su Corporation?"

"Please ask revenge related questions only." Su Yuchen declined the question.

"Mr. Su, what were you doing here in the city B? Were you here to personally supervise on the movie?"

"Yes."

"Why is it so Mr. Su? Why were you supervising revenge when you have never supervised any other movie under the banner of heritage entertainment?"

"The script of this movie is very close to my heart. I love the script and I want to give justice to it. I personally want to ensure the success of this movie. It will not be the last time that I am here to inspect the movie. I will be present at every step of the progress of the movie."

Reporters asked some more questions to Su Yuchen before they were dismissed by Su Yuchen. Huang Chu ensured that they placed their camera' outside of the ballroom before continuing their dinner.

"Huang Chu, no video of today's press meeting can go out before I officially announce Revenge."

"Already on it boss. I have warned all the reporters present here. They will not telecast the press meeting before orders from you."

Su Yuchen nodded his head and made his way towards the head of the table. All this while, his dark eyes were digging a hole in the head of Qian Fan.

When giving him the investing rights, Su Yuchen had made it clear that Qian Fan didn't have any right related to the movie. Then how dare of him to invite media without asking him and how dare of him to watch the recordings of filmed scenes.

Xin Mei looked at Su Yuchen who was emitting an aura of superiority. He was not looking anything like the men with whom she had spent most of her afternoon. He was looking like a cold and serious business tycoon.

Su Yuchen was well aware of the eyes of Xin Mei on him. He just didn't look at her directly. He didn't want her to avert her gaze from him on being getting caught.

When parting with her in the evening, he didn't think he would meet with her again and that too so soon but guess, destiny had thought something as for them!
