Chapter 48 - Shining star.

When Xin Mei reached in the lobby, she found that the condition of everyone wasn't better than her. It was only director Zhang and Mr. Gong who were looking fresh because they had consumed very less alcohol last night.

Others had the same expression as of Xin Mei. They were also suffering from the headache and sleepiness. Their eyes were also red and hairs were misplaced. No female had dared to apply makeup in the morning. Everyone had their natural face on.

"Miss Xin, have this pill. You will also feel better." Mr. Gong offered a hangover pill to Xin Mei. Xin Mei gladly accepted the offered pill and gulped it down.

"Is everyone here?" Director Zhang questioned.

"Director, only Miss Zhou is missing. Otherwise, everyone has already come." Someone said.

"She isn't coming with us. Last night, Mister Qian has gone missing and Miss Zhou is searching for him. She has already left the hotel with her search party." Director Zhang informed. "So if everyone is here, should we start our journey?"

"Yes, director."

On hearing yes from everyone, the director directed everyone to the already parked busses. Bellboy had already submitted the luggage on the bus.

Xin Mei also went and climbed on the bus. She took her place by the window seat. A frown was settled in between her brows. Words of director Zhang were ringing in her ears.

Qian Fan went missing? How? When? Last night itself he tried to force himself on her. Xin Mei shuddered at that thought and felt glad that she didn't remember much from last night. She didn't need one more nightmare!

Last night, Huang Chu had followed the orders of Su Yuchen. He with some guards took unconscious Qian Fan to an abounded road which was twenty miles away from any civilized place.

Qian Fan was left in the middle of the road without any cash, mobile or any clothes. Huang Chu had ordered the bodyguards to remove the clothes of Qian Fan. Then he had sent the photo of Qian Fan, to report it to Su Yuchen.

In the hotel, Zhou Mingyu got worried for Qian Fan when he didn't arrive in her hotel room. The first thought which came into her mind was that Qian Fan had gone into the room of Xin Mei.

She got angry upon thinking that. Angrily, she made her way towards the room of Xin Mei. But before she could reach her room, she received a message. The message contained a photo of Qian Fan with a false location of Qian Fan.

Zhou Mingyu had planted against Xin Mei. So she also deserved a punishment. Taking Qian Fan as bait Zhou Mingyu was send to another abandoned region which was thirty miles away from any civilization.

Zhou Mingyu, the superstar had to spend her night in the forest of city B because her driver had abandoned her in middle of the forest.

Unaware of the condition of Qian Fan and Zhou Mingyu, who were finding their way back home, Xin Mei was enjoying her journey back home. Pills given by Mr. Gong had shown their effect on her. Now she wasn't feeling headache like before.

She also had her breakfast which was arranged by the crew members. With food in her stomach, she was feeling very much better.

When they reached city A director Zhang gave everyone a break of two days and informed them about their upcoming schedule.

Once Xin Mei reached home, she called Gu Nan, to talk with her about missing Qian Fan. Gu Nan had returned home with her team early in the morning itself. So she wasn't aware that Qian Fan was missing.

"Meimei, stop worrying about him. I am sure that he has gone to meet some mistress which he has hidden in the city A. You shouldn't think about the jerk like him."

Next two days of holiday flew away in a blink of eyes. After two days, director Zhang called all the cast in one of the farmhouses which were provided to them by Heritage entertainment. In the same farmhouse, there was a huge ground away from the eyes of public.

"This place is provided to us by Mr. Su. We will be practicing all types of fighting scenes and martial arts here, at this place. This place is highly secured so we don't need to worry about any photo leakage." Director Zhang announced.

He then introduced his cast to the fighting experts, some were from domestic and some were from other countries. These experts had different fighting skills. They were to teach all the cast various skills which were needed during the film of war scenes.

One week flew away and the practices were going in full force. Director Zhang had not only appointed fighting experts but had also appointed dance trainers for the female cast who had a group dance in the movie.

Dress rehearsals were also going on full force. Director Zhang had researched the history to study the types of dresses which were worn in the times of monarchy. He had himself selected the design of dresses and jewelries which were to be worn. He wanted everything to be perfect.

The only thing which was missing from his perfect plan was Zhou Mingyu who was absent even after one week.

Xin Mei was working very hard to prepare herself for the upcoming scenes. Her day was fixed from morning to evening. In the morning, she had a martial art class with Tang Min and five other co-stars. Then she had a sword fighting class where she was focused to make her every move clear and perfect.

Then during noon, she had dress rehearsals where she had tried a lot of dresses, ornaments, crowns and other things which she had seen or read in her history books.

In the evening, she had dance classes and archery classes. On random days in a week, she learned some instruments which were being played in the historical era.

Like Director Zhang, she didn't want to use body-double. She wanted to perform all of her stunts by herself. Therefore, she was focusing on all type of fighting scenes.

In the last thirty minutes of the movie, there was a war scene. Ruyi was shown as warrior during those scenes. So all type of fighting skills were necessary, to act the last scenes with smoothness.

Same was the case of other cast members, after looking at Xin Mei they were also determined to perform their stunts by themselves.

If a girl was doing her stunts without any complaint then why couldn't they?

Director Zhang also felt happy whenever he looked at Xin Mei. She was really a gem in his hand. She was so determined in her acting.

Director Zhang could predict that Xin Mei was going to get a lot of fame for her role Ruyi. Not only that, he predicted that she would get a lot of awards for the same movie and one day, she would become the shining star of the country's film industry.
