Chapter 206 - Mei, I trust you.

Xin Mei looked at the name of Su Yuchen with wide and fearful eyes. She didn't know how to talk to him and what to talk to him. Now how was she supposed to tell him that the videos and photos were not what they seemed?

Heart of Xin Mei dropped in her stomach and her breathing became shallow. Knots formed in her stomach and sweat appeared on her neck and forehead.

With shaky hands, she picked up her mobile. With heart beating fast like a bullet train, she picked up the call. She had a very bad feeling in her guts and it felt as if she would throw up at any second.

"Hello." She whispered in a shaky voice. Tears also filled in her eyes.

"Mei, I trust you." she heard his warm voice which calmed her soul and body.

"Do you trust me?" she asked not believing what she heard was the truth.

"Hmm, I trust my Xin Mei. I know you will never cheat on me. I trust my heart, I know it will never fall for a wrong girl." His words were so soothing for the ears of Xin Mei.

She took a deep breath and sighed. Tears that she was controlling fell from her eyes.

"I am so happy that you trust me Su Yuchen." She started to sob. "I was afraid that you will not trust me and will think I was cheating on you with your brother."

"Shh…shh…love, please don't cry." Su Yuchen felt his heart was squeezing when he heard the sobs and cries of Xin Mei. He couldn't hear her cry.

"Please don't cry, wifey. I am feeling so weak when I hear you cry. Please don't cry." He pleaded with desperation.

At that moment, he wanted to return home and hug his wife. He wanted to console her that soon no one would dare to slander her. He wanted to personally tell her that he trusted her, and he knew how innocent and pure she was.

Su Yuchen had got an idea that something was wrong with his wife when she had talked with him for only three minutes, two days back. He didn't mull on that much. But his concern increased when she ignored to talk with him from the last two days.

In the morning, he was working on his laptop when Huang Chu entered his hotel room. Huang Chu looked nervous and afraid. Su Yuchen narrowed his eyes and look at him.

"What happened?" Su Yuchen asked without beating around the bush.

Huang Chu looked at Su Yuchen with a nervous smile on his lips. He didn't know how to show his boss the articles about Xin Mei and Su Zixin. He was afraid that Su Yuchen would harm Xin Mei or Su Zixin after reading the articles.

"Huang Chu, don't let me repeat my words again, tell me what happened? What are you hiding from me?" Su Yuchen glared at him.

Huang Chu became rigid and frightened when he heard Su Yuchen. With shaking hands, he passed his tablet to Su Yuchen which displayed all the articles about Xin Mei and Su Zixin.

Su Yuchen frowned when he saw all those articles about his wife. He ignored the articles about Xin Mei and Su Zixin and directly moved to the articles uploaded by the fans of Chang Xinyi.

They were badly slandering his wife which pinched in the heart of Su Yuchen. They had used many dirty words to describe her. Money grabbier, gold digger, a seducer and what not they had used for her.

"Huang Chu, get all these slandering articles removed." He ordered in hard and stiff voice before looking at other articles.

'The newest couple of film industry, Xin Mei and Chen Bai.'

'Both claims to be good friends, but photos say something else.'

'Chen Bai and Xin Mei are predicted to be living together, can we expect wedding bells in the film industry.'

'Love is in the air, Chen Bai and Xin Mei have become the most liked and hated couple.'

Su Yuchen had squeezed his fist when he read all those articles and watched all those photos. For once, he also thought something was going on in between his wife and brother.

But then, he placed his hand over his heart and asked himself,

'Can I fall in love with the wrong person? Were all the feelings which I have seen in her eyes a lie? Can I fail to recognize her sincerity and fall in love with her?'

The answer was no. He knew…his heart knew that she would not cheat him.

He was thinking when he received a notification about the proposal video. He ignored that video and called Xin Mei and a single word from her confirmed him that she was not lying to him.

The hesitation, the fear, the nervousness in her voice confirmed to him that she was not cheating on him and she was afraid that he wouldn't trust him. That was why, he said, "Mei, I trust you."

"Su Yuchen, I am happy that you trust me. You have again proved to me that you are the best husband in this world." Xin Mei smiled against the phone and removed her tears. "If you were here then I would have hugged and kissed you. How can you not doubt me?"

"Wifey, when I confessed my love, I meant it, I love you. My heart has made a connection with you and my heart knows, you will never cheat me."

Su Yuchen placed his hand over his heart. Xin Mei also did the same and could feel her heart beating fast. She felt so loved at that moment.

"Now that you trust me, I am sure I can walk past this scandal. Now I don't need to worry about anything that you are supporting me. Your trust is everything for me. I don't care about what others are saying about me." Xin Mei said to Su Yuchen.

"I will always support you. No matter what." He declared.

Xin Mei and Su Yuchen talked for some time. After talking with him, Xin Mei felt very light at heart. She didn't care about the gossips until and unless her husband trusted in her.
