Chapter 342 - Get together.

"What emergency? What happened Gu Nan?" Xin Mei asked with concern.

"MeiMei, I have invited our mutual friends at a club tonight, for a get-together, but I forgot about you. So, now get ready and reach at club Height by seven in the evening. Hurry...!"

Xin Mei rolled her eyes when she heard Gu Nan. She was sure Gu Nan had planned this get together in the morning only and now she was calling everyone saying she forgot to invite them.

This was the style of Gu Nan!"

"I hope you are not angry with me. You know you are my best friend. I planned to personally invite you, face to face, but I didn't get the time. Hence the delay."

"NanNan, don't lie on my face. I know you and I know you have planned this get together in the morning itself."

"Actually, fifteen minutes ago." Gu Nan chuckled. "Now hurry and get ready. We are meeting at the club."

"And who said I will be coming."

"Ah come on, don't be like this. Our friends are coming only in the greed to meet you. Now you cannot let my nose be cut in front of them. So, you are coming, no matter what."

Xin Mei knew Gu Nan, she knew Gu Nan would not cut the call before hearing a yes from her. And then if Xin Mei tried to stand up on her, hell would break and Gu Nan would eat her alive.

"Ok, I will come."

"I know you will not say no to me. Muah!" Gu Nan kissed over the speaker and hung up the call.

Before Xin Mei could put back her smartphone in her pocket, it rung again. This time it was a call from Su Yuchen.

"Mei, tonight I and my friends are going to the Royal club? Want to join us?" 

"I can't join you." Xin Mei pouted when she heard him. 

Why was everyone going to club today?

"Why? Weren't you the one who was excited to meet my friends?"

"I want to but five minutes back, Gu Nan had also invited me to height club. Now I cannot ditch her. Otherwise, who knows what she will do. She can also use her profession against me."

Su Yuchen chuckled when he heard her.

"Ok, you go and enjoy with Gu Nan. Meanwhile, I will enjoy with my friends. You can meet them some other time."

"Ok."

Xin Mei and Su Yuchen together left the home at eight in the evening to their respective clubs.

Xin Mei visited the heights club. She was wearing a mask and quickly made her way inside the club.

"Finally, you are here." Gu Nan grinned when she saw Xin Mei. She hugged Xin Mei where Xin Mei looked around the club with wide eyes.

'Didn't Gu Nan say that it was get together of mutual friends? Then what are her high school classmate, her university classmates, their friends, and siblings doing here in the club?'

Xin Mei looked at the club with more than a hundred ladies. Xin Mei looked at Gu Nan and she shrugged her shoulders.

"News travels fast. They got to know that you were coming so most of them came here uninvited. In last, I have to book the whole club."

Xin Mei glared at Gu Nan. She knew this Gu Nan had invited everyone. Gu Nan was an outgoing girl so it was no big deal that she was still in contact with her old classmates and had invited them all.

"Xin Mei, why are you standing at the door? Come and join us." One of her classmates offered to her.

"Yes, MeiMei, why are we standing at the door? Let us go in and enjoy the night."

'Enjoy, like heck. They will eat me alive. NanNan, you have not done any good by inviting me tonight.'

Xin Mei cursed Gu Nan and glared at her head. Gu Nan ignored her and walked toward the group of her friend with her arms wrapped around Xin Mei's arm.

On the other side, Su Yuchen made his way toward the already booked private room of royal restaurant. His three childhood best friends were already waiting for him.

"Finally, he is here." His friend, Liu Wei stood up from his seat and hugged Su Yuchen. "It had been so long that we have last met."

"It's not that long. We meet a month ago only."

"That was hardly for an hour and without any drinks." 

Su Yuchen rolled his eyes when he heard Liu Wei. Liu Wei was the spoiled sole heir of Liu family and Su Yuchen never knew how they became friends. Liu Wei was a typical heartbreaker and a spoiled brat.

During his days in states, Liu Wei had slept with nearly every girl in the university. He had once teased Su Yuchen that he would like to sleep with Mian and that had led him to hospital for the next three months.

At current, his father had sent him to country K to learn the business from his uncle. He was given strict training to take over the business. He returned to City A only a month back.

"Liu, I can see there is no affect on you of the strict training given to you by your uncle. You still think about drinks and girls." Wang Yong, another friend of Su Yuchen spoke and slapped the head of Liu Wei before hugging Su Yuchen tight.

"Geez! It has been so long that I have hugged you big man."

"Eight months to be exact." Su Yuchen chuckled and shared a bro hug with Wang Yong.

Wang Yong and Su Yuchen were the closest in their group of four. Wang Yong was mature, smart, and cold like Su Yuchen. He was only warm for his friends and family, but for others, he was a very strict and scary man.

At current, Wang Yong was working in the head of the police department. He was working hard to get the post of minister of the police department so he could get a transfer to city A, to be close to his family and friends.

"And how are you master chef?" Su Yuchen slapped and teased his friend, Li Jie who was a very famous chef. 

Li Jie had travelled around the world in search of different dishes. He had studied them properly and had now returned to the country, to city A and had decided to open his own restaurant.

His return was the reason Liu Wei decided to throw this get together. Wang Yong who was also nearby decided to join them. It had been so long that the four of them had collected at one place and had drunk to their delight!
