"He Lin, I must say that you are very lucky to have daughter and a son like Xin Yan and Xin Mei. You are also lucky to have Su Yuchen as your son in law but why have you selected Da Chun as your daughter in law? She does not have any class. She is not of our status. She do not even have a family. I can never accept her in my family."
Su Yuchen frowned when he heard the uncle of Xin Mei, probably uncle Nian. This arrogant uncle was continuously slandering Da Chun saying she was not of his class and status.
"She is not bringing any dowry in the marriage, and above that, you are the one paying for her expenses. This is not done, He Lin. She is a burden which you should remove before it's too late."
Su Yuchen looked at Da Chun who stiffened beside him. Then he looked at Xin Yan who had fisted his fists, trying to control his anger.
"Mister Nian, it's nice to meet you." Su Yuchen walked toward him and faked a smile.
"Su Yuchen, my favorite son in law. Why are you calling me mister, call me uncle?" Nian Li, uncle of Xin Mei grinned and opened his arm for Su Yuchen.
"Son in law? I do not think you deserve to call me as your son in law. Have you looked at the difference between our status? So, how can you call me your son in law? I am sure, I can purchase your company with one phone call."
Su Yuchen smiled but his smile made Nian Li chill to his spine. "And who told you that Da Chun does not have a family? I am her family, her brother." Su Yuchen protectively wrapped his arm around Da Chun and she smiled.
"Xin Mei her sister, mother, and father are also her mother and father. So, how can she be family less? And about the expenses and her dowry, didn't mother tell you that I and my wife are organizing her wedding?"
Su Yuchen spoke with a poker expression on his face but threat and anger could be heard in his voice. "I hope Mister Nian, you will look at your status before questioning about others."
"He Lin, your son in law is insulting me."
"He is not insulting you but he is stating the fact." He Lin glared at her cousin. "You have changed cousin. I never thought you were so into status and class. Chen is right, look at your status before commenting on others. Don't forget about your daughter who got pregnant with the baby of your driver."
Nian Li felt furious when he heard He Lin. He glared at her and stomped in the opposite direction.
"Su Yuchen, thank you for supporting Chun. My hands were tied but I am glad you gave your support to her." Xin Yan expressed his gratitude and patted on the back of Su Yuchen.
"It was my duty. I have already asked her to think of me as her brother. So, it's no big deal if I announced about the same in front of some idiot." Su Yuchen also patted on the back of Xin Yan.
"Now I think," Su Yuchen turned and looked at Xin Mei. "Mei, why don't we organisms her wedding as her brother and sister in law?"
"Good idea. It will be fun to be from both the bride's and groom's side at the wedding."
**
The incident of how Nian Li tried to insult Da Chun and how Su Yuchen gave him a fitting reply, spread like a fire in the hotel. Every relative of the Xin family became scared. From then, they decided to not talk rudely about Da Chun throughout the wedding of He Ye, to stay in family list of Su Yuchen.
Other guests of the wedding also became shocked to know how Su Yuchen protected Da Chun and called her his sister. They counted Da Chun to be lucky who got a chance to be called as a sister by the tycoon Su Yuchen.
"Da Chun, if anyone ever tries to insult you or try to make you feel lower than himself, then you can announce proudly that you are my soul sister."
Da Chun smiled a genuine smile. "Thank you so much for your support. Thank you for making me your sister."
Su Yuchen smiled and nodded to her. He then looked at others. "I think we should go and get ready for the wedding party."
**
Everyone made way to their destined rooms. Su Yuchen was feeling very happy when he entered in their room with Xin Mei. They both got ready at the same time and came out of the room, together.
"Isn't it the first time that we will enter a party together?" Su Yuchen grinned and gave his arm to Su Yuchen.
"Yes, it is." Xin Mei smiled and took his arm. "Finally, we can attend a party as a couple. We can flirt with one another like husband and wife."
"We can also dance like husband and wife. I can also kiss you after the dance." Su Yuchen winked at her and Xin Mei shook her head.
Xin Mei and Su Yuchen entered the party hall and they immediately gained attention from the local guests who were invited to the party.
Many businesspeople, superstar and other guests started to come in their direction, to personally congratulate them for their marriage and to get some benefits.
"I think you should congratulate He Ye and Gu Nan, not us. Now please excuse us. We have our families waiting for us." Su Yuchen declined everyone and made his way toward where his grandparents were sitting with the parents of Xin Mei.
"Where are Xin Yan and Da Chun? Didn't they get ready till now?" Xin Mei asked and looked at He Lin.
"Da Chun got some problem with the fitting of her dress. Xin Yan is helping her. They will come in some time."
Xin Mei nodded her head and then looked at Su Lingtian. "grandpa, where is Su Zixin?"
"Hiding from the rich girls." Su Lingtian replied, making everyone chuckle. "He has sacrificed his freedom by exposing his identity. I am sure he is going to be the next target of all the rich families now that Su Yuchen is out of their list."
"True." Su Yuchen chuckled.
"Grandma, grandpa, do you want to eat or drink something? Should I call for a waiter to serve you?"
"No need Xiao Mei, a waiter just served us some snacks. We are all good for now." Bai Yue replied, but all of a sudden, her eyes became wide in shock.
"What happened, grandma?" Xin Mei asked, feeling a sudden change of expression of Bai Yue.
"Who is that girl?" she pointed in the opposite direction to where Xin Mei and Su Yuchen were standing. Clear disbelief was there in her eyes and voice. "She looks so much like your mother Chen."
That was enough to make Su Yuchen shook. He turned around and looked at the girl at whom his grandmother was pointing at.
