Danger Degree – Level One (1)
Ji Qingzhou’s eyelashes drooped, covering her vision a bit, as if it could give her a sense of security.
In fact, if she hadn’t maintained such a rigid sitting position for three hours, she could have administered the medicine by herself. But after cultivating, she really couldn’t straighten her waist.
She was wearing a blue short shirt, with a soft inner robe. Because of the summer heat, she only gently lifted the hem to reveal her injured back waist.
Shen Rongyu’s fingertips stopped swirling with the air current, because he wanted to rub away the congestion.
Ji Qingzhou felt his warm fingertips lift her shirt a little. The wind in the middle of the night was cool, causing her waist muscles to contract, giving her goosebumps.
She really couldn’t stand a situation where she couldn’t see anything, so she put her hands on Shen Rongyu’s shoulders and turned around.
Ji Qingzhou regretted a little, and only called out, “Xiao Yu-shixiong…”
She thought to herself, Why don’t I just do it myself?
However, in front of them was a large mirror, which melted with warmth under the orange glow.
She saw her lying on top of him, her long ebony hair cascading down. Hidden in the darkness, it wasn’t clear where their hair boundaries were. The bluish shirt also seemed to have changed into a darker shade. The only bright thing was her exposed waist. The strength of that Profound Frost Beasts was really powerful, as deep bruises were left on her glittering jade-like white skin.
“Hmm?” Shen Rongyu raised his head to look at her in the mirror, and locked eyes with her.
He answered in this way, but his hands did not stop moving. He took out a small jade bottle from his sleeve. The jade bottle was plain white, with a red cloth seal on it.
Shen Rongyu was holding the medicine bottle in one hand, and Ji Qingzhou in the other. Neither of his hands were free, so his bony hand held the white medicine bottle loosely.
His thin lips parted slightly, and then bit the red stopper of the medicine bottle. The vivid collision of colors made Ji Qingzhou’s hand on his shoulder gradually tighten.
With a subtle ‘pop’, he bit off the stopper. In an instant, a faint medicinal fragrance diffused. Mixed with the original Soul Fragrance on Shen Rongyu, it created a psychedelic scent.
“Zhuozhuo, what’s the matter?” Shen Rongyu asked, looking at her in the mirror. Ji Qingzhou seemed to be stunned, but the force of her hand gripping his shoulder strengthened.
After a while, crimson shade stained Ji Qingzhou’s cheeks. She whispered in reply, “No. It’s nothing.”
It seemed that she wasn’t afraid of colliding with his eyes when looking at him in the mirror. Her eyes stayed on his thin lips which secured the stopper of the medicine bottle just now. The action seemed to have tugged her heartstrings.
‘It has nothing to do with emotion, it’s just pure seduction,’ Ji Qingzhou concluded.
Her thoughts were pulled back by Shen Rongyu, who reminded her, “It’s going to hurt a bit.”
Ji Qingzhou replied inwardly, ‘I’m not that afraid of pain.’
However, when the potion in the medicine bottle spilled onto her bruise, her head hung down, sweat dripped from her forehead, and her lower lip turned white from her bite.
Shen Rongyu’s medicine was potent but effective. The potion penetrated into the skin and quickly dissolved the congestion. The dull nerves there were also boiling revitalized, and sharp pain coursed through her body, hitting her temples with an acute pain.
She sucked in the cold air, but did not utter a single word. Nonetheless, it made Shen Rongyu’s movements more gentle by a few points. His fingertips felt the thickest bruises on Ji Qingzhou’s back waist and slowly rubbed with the medicinal water. If this was left unattended, Ji Qingzhou would not have been able to move for several days.
Ji Qingzhou lowered her head. The initial sharp stings turned into dull pain as gentle as the waves. The instant Shen Rongyu rubbed it, the pain would strike again.
“Bear with it some more.” Shen Rongyu held her waist, quickly rubbed the last inch of bruises away, and the injury finally disappeared.
His fingers retracted and his flexed knuckles knocked on her waist, making Ji Qingzhou shiver. Her lifted shirt slipped down to cover her back waist.
She really couldn’t feel much of the pain anymore, which was pretty good.
So she stifled her voice and lay on Shen Rongyu’s body, not daring to speak. She played dead, but her cheeks hidden under her hair were burning.
Shen Rongyu called her, “Zhouzhou, how long are you going to rest?”
Ji Qingzhou reacted. She fiercely bounced away from Shen Rongyu’s body, but forgot that behind her was the desk. Just a hairbreadth away, her back waist almost bumped into it.
Shen Rongyu moved nimbly and protected her waist, and she only hit his large palm, which was scorchingly hot to the touch.
Ji Qingzhou mumbled for a long time, but finally squeezed out a few words, “Thank you, Xiao Yu-shixiong.”
Later, because she was too shy, she almost didn’t know how Shen Rongyu left. While she was sleeping, she had this feeling that her bruises were burning hot. It had nothing to do with the injury. It was completely psychological.
Ji Qingzhou felt that she had no face to see Shen Rongyu in the future. She prayed that she would not meet him on White Water Island again, but unfortunately, her prayers went unanswered.
