Chapter 4：You're Afraid?

Tang Xinluo looked up when she heard the man's voice. Even though her vision was still blurry, she could feel the pressure the man was exuding.

When Tang Xinluo came to her senses, she had unknowingly walked over the bed; and the man was holding her wrist.

She had never really been with a man.

She wanted to cry out instinctively, but she bit her lips as if having realized something suddenly.

She could not call out; she could not let the man catch her weakness.

"You're afraid?"

"I… I'm not."

Tang Xinluo shook her head to try and play it cool.

"Woman, listen to me, and you will be rewarded."

With that, he pressed his lips onto hers.

Tang Xinluo instinctively wanted to struggle, but he held her firm.

A long night.

The heavy curtains were drawn in the early morning to let sunlight in.

The dressed man looked at the woman sleeping soundly in bed and smiled contentedly.

It had been a long time since he had been this relaxed. If this woman was obedient enough, he did not mind giving her more.

"Master Lu, it's about time." His subordinate's voice came from downstairs. Something had happened at the new harbor, and he had to take a trip down personally.

"I know." The man took one more look at the sleeping woman. He then opened the door and left.

Tang Xinluo felt like she had a really long dream. In her dream, she saw Lu Qinghao's betrayal. In it, she slept with a man she had just met. She dreamed that she had let that happen to take revenge on Lu Qinghao.

"Wu… why would I have such a strange dream…?"

She opened her eyes slowly. The lack of clarity and familiarity made her pause a little before she came to her senses.

Things did not seem right…

Was everything that happened last night now a dream?

Tang Xinluo sat up in panic.

"Ow…"

She almost fell back into bed from the soreness in her lower body and back. The pain triggered her memories of what happened last night.
