The next morning when Meng Ze came over to fetch Lu Yuchen to the office, he conveniently brought a new phone and the newly-made phone number for Tang Xinluo.
Her number did not change and was still the number she previously used. The Lu family was very capable so Tang Xinluo did not even ask how Meng Ze got her number back and just thanked him after receiving it.
The first thing Tang Xinluo did was message her good friends, Su Qing and Wan Weiwei, to report her safety.
The three of them were on very good terms and would talk on the phone at least once a week. She had been too busy during this period so she did not contact them.
Not long after she sent out the message, Wan Weiwei’s call came in.
“Hello, Xinluo is that you?” Once she picked up the phone, Wan Weiwei’s voice sounded from the other end.
“Yeap.”
“Xinluo, you scared me. Where did you go for the past two weeks? I couldn’t contact you starting two weeks ago. I was really afraid that something happened to you.”
Once Tang Xinluo heard her good friend’s worry, her heart melted. “Silly, what can happen to me? Aren’t I just fine?”
“How can you still say that? Now, it has spread around the entire A City. You… forget it, where are you? I just happen to be at Heng Feng Shopping Center; let’s meet up.”
Wan Weiwei seemed to have many things to talk to her about in person, and Tang Xinluo knew that her good friend was worried about her so she did not reject her and directly agreed to meet an hour later.
After hanging up, Tang Xinluo suddenly remembered that she had left the Tang family last minute and did not even have suitable clothes to wear out. All the dresses that Lu Yuchen’s subordinates bought in Country M were all too elegant, and it was not too convenient.
“Auntie Zhang, are there any shopping malls nearby?” Tang Xinluo called Auntie Zhang over and wanted to go to a nearby shopping mall to buy some casual clothes—at the very least, some jeans to change into.
Auntie Zhang was shocked. “Young Madam, what do you want to do at the mall?”
“Buy clothes.”
“…”
When Tang Xinluo saw Auntie Zhang’s unnatural expression, she furrowed her eyebrows and asked, “What’s wrong, Auntie Zhang? Is it inconvenient?”
“No, no, it’s not.” Auntie Zhang hurriedly denied.
“Just that… Young Madam, Young Master had instructed us to satisfy Young Madam’s needs to the best that we can. Could I just ask? Is there anything we’re not doing right which made Young Madam angry so you need to go out to buy your own clothes?”
Tang Xinluo completely did not understand what Auntie Zhang was saying. She shook her head. “Auntie Zhang, I just want to go out to buy clothes. I’m not blaming you. You also know that I came over with nothing, and there are only three sets of clothes to change in my luggage. I—”
“Young Madam, have you… not taken a look at your closet yet?” Auntie Zhang suddenly interrupted her and looked at her in disbelief.
“Closet… mine?”
Auntie Zhang brought Tang Xinluo to the closet, and she found out what a big misunderstanding it was.
She did not only have three sets of clothes to change into; she had a whole house worth of clothes to casually change into.
It was the room beside the master bedroom that was about a hundred over square feet and had clothes in every closet on all three walls while the last wall was a full-length mirror.
In the three-walled closet, there were all sorts of gowns, suits, individual clothing, and all kinds of undergarments, pajamas… home clothes. There were also accessories, jewelry, hats, and even luxury shoes and bags arranged neatly in rows.
