“Hey, Xinluo, wait for me!”
When Wan Weiwei saw Tang Xinluo—who was sitting on the couch—standing up to leave while she was in the middle of her conflict with Manager Zhang, she immediately wanted to run over.
“Wan Weiwei, you can’t go. You cost me my job. Now, I’m still being sued by my company. You can’t just leave like this!”
Manager Zhang clutched onto Wan Weiwei’s clothes tightly and refused to let go.
If it was not because Wan Weiwei gave her hints beforehand, why would she attack Tang Xinluo so ruthlessly without a reason?
“Let go of me!”
Wan Weiwei wanted to unleash her anger, but she suddenly realized that this was a public place. There were quite a few security officers from Heng Feng Shopping Center staring at them.
Not only that, but their squabble had also garnered passers-by’s attention. Wan Weiwei saw from the corner of her eye that some customers were holding their phones as if they were taking a video from the entrance of the shop.
Upon seeing this situation, she changed to another face.
She squeezed two drops of tears out and gently told Manager Zhang, “I know you’re very angry after losing your job. But… I can’t do anything about it. This isn’t something that I can decide on, but don’t worry, I’ll help you persuade Xinluo.”
“Wan Weiwei, what do you mean you can’t do anything about it? If it was not for you…”
“I, I know… it’s all because of my friend… that’s why you’re implicated. But, don’t worry, Xinluo isn’t a heartless person. There must be a reason behind this. I… I’m also not sure why she would become like this… but I’ll help you convince her.”
The more Wan Weiwei said, the more uncontrolled her feelings got. She spoke until she started crying silently.
Her crying noise was not loud, and she lowered her head to whimper; her back view alone was enough to make people pity her.
People who did not know what happened would all naturally think that this fierce Manager Zhang was bullying Wan Weiwei when they saw both of them together.
“Hey, you all over there! That’s enough! She’s just a customer at your store and was even forced to take out her clothes just now because of you. How dare you bully her? Hurry, pack your stuff; if not, I’ll just throw you guys out!”
One of the security officers could not stand Manager Zhang’s behavior and came over to chase the troublemaker, Manager Zhang, away.
Manager Zhang was indignant, but she could only watch on as Wan Weiwei put on a pitiful look and left the store.
Wan Weiwei walked out of the stare and went after Tang Xinluo.
She followed the direction that Tang Xinluo left in until she found her standing at the entrance of the shopping center.
Tang Xinluo was standing by the road as if she was waiting for someone.
Wan Weiwei hurriedly walked towards her, and when she took her first few steps, she suddenly saw a low-key luxurious black Bentley stopping in front of Tang Xinluo.
Almost immediately, she saw Tang Xinluo open the door and sit inside.
“Tang Xinluo… how can she…?”
Due to the angle, Wan Weiwei could not see the license plate of the car clearly, but she had seen this Bentley on a magazine before.
This car was made exquisitely and cost a bomb; it was sold through private customization and was not something that average people could afford.
Jealousy and indignance overpowered Wan Weiwei. On the other hand, Tang Xinluo—who just got on the car—felt that the car’s atmosphere was a bit awkward.
Clearly, she did not purposely anger others; but facing Lu Yuchen now, she suddenly had a feeling of being caught red-handed.
Tang Xinluo felt that she should say something and wanted to speak a few times, but when she saw Lu Yuchen’s cold expression, she swallowed all her words.
