Name:Dragon Ball: New Life Author:draykan
Frieza, the tyrannical emperor, was aboard his flagship bound for planet Namek. He was seated in his hovering throne, with his tail lazily draped over the lip of the vehicle. The tyrant was seeking to obtain immortality by using the Dragon Balls of the Namekians. He learned of the mysterious spheres through a conversation transmitted from Vegeta's Scouter.

The location of the planet was in the Frieza Forces' planetary database, but the planet was unremarkable. It offered no reason for the galactic emperor to ever need to send his troops there, until now. Even if the Dragon Balls turned out to be a hoax, it was worth investigating, personally. There was no chance the mission could go awry with him taking the lead.

However, his intuition told him it might not be as easy as it should to accomplish his goal. It could have just been his imagination; he was leaving nothing to chance, not when the opportunity to eternally reign over his empire was close at hand. He knew if his wish could be granted, no one in the universe would ever be his equal.

"Zarbon!" Frieza snapped.

An alien with light blue skin and a long green braided ponytail stepped forward. He was wearing wide shouldered Frieza Force armor with light pink sleeves cut off at the biceps. Zarbon, elegantly, bowed at the waist.

"Yes, Lord Frieza?" Zarbon asked his master.

"How much longer until we reach Planet Namek?" the tyrant asked his General.

"We will arrive in twenty four hours, my lord." the light blue alien replied confidently.

"Good, very good." Frieza stared out of the bubbled window of his saucer ship. Looking out at the stars still didn't relieve him of the feeling something was off. It could be the fact he didn't get a chance to punish Vegeta for his recent failure to take Earth. He once more turned his attention to Zarbon.

"I want you to summon the Ginyu Force. They will ensure nothing goes wrong." Frieza ordered.

"At once lord Frieza, they should be able to arrive when we do." Zarbon hurried to make the call to

Captain Ginyu.

He didn't expect his master to call the special forces out to a simple planet. Needless to say, neither he or his rival Dodoria would have much to do if the Ginyu Force was involved. Zarbon and Dodoria may be the highest ranking Generals in the Frieza Force, but they weren't a match for any of the members of the Ginyu Force.

In the Namek System, a small craft almost ladybug in design approached the planet. It was a Galactic Patrol craft. The small craft was stopped, before it made it far, by the Menagerie. The Galactic Patrol ship was dwarfed by the Prometheus Empire flagship. The being piloting the ladybug like ship was at a loss for what was happening. He had come to Namek to warn the leadership about the tyrant Frieza being detected heading towards the planet.

The patrolman received a message from his ship's communicator. Which led him to believe the ship did not belong to the Frieza Force, they never bothered with hails.

"Galactic Patrol craft, this is Commander Lime of the Prometheus Empire flagship Menagerie. Please respond." a female sounding voice said through his ship's control panel.

"This is Patrolman Jaco. I'm on an urgent mission to Planet Namek." the Patrolman answered the voice. He wasn't exactly sure what the Prometheus Empire was but he heard rumors over the last several years that a new empire had formed in the far fringes of the North Area.

"The Prometheus Empire is currently conducting operations in this system. Please leave." Commander Lime responded coldly.

"You don't seem to understand. Commander Lime, was it? I have been task with a mission by the Galactic King to warn the planet." Jaco explained with an air of condescension.

"The Prometheus Empire does not recognize the Galactic King." Lime responded with same coolness as before.

"What about the press?" Jaco was smashed against the glass dome of his ship by his human friend. She decided to accompany him on this mission because she had gotten hired by the Galactic News Broadcasting station as a journalist. She was also looking for inspiration for her next book.

"Tights!" an excited voice rang out of Jaco's panel.

"Bulma!" his passenger called back with equal excitement.

The Patrolman's ship was brought onto the Menagerie. It turned out that his friend from Earth, Tights, was the sister of the Empress of the Prometheus Empire. Jaco figured it was as they say "a small galaxy."

Tights was surprised to see her younger sister Bulma wearing a set of skirted black and red caped armor. She clearly was going to have to make a point to stay in touch more often. Although Bulma was her younger sister, the pair would be mistaken as twins if not for Tights inheriting their mother's blonde hair.

Bulma escorted the pair to a private lounge to discuss want brought them to the planet. Jaco once again explained the mission he was sent on. Bulma listened to the explanation and led the two out of the lounge to a large compartment on the ship. Most of the population of the planet had been moved to the Menagerie until after Frieza was dealt with. The move was to ensure the populace would avoid being caught up in collateral damage that may occur during the battle. The Patrolman was taken to the Grand Elder to deliver his message.

"By the way, if you are Empress, who is the Emperor? Is he here?" Tights asked her sister. Her journalist's instincts were boiling for an interview.

"His name is Raditz. He's a Saiyan, and he's on the Planet." Bulma answered her sister.

"Saiyan!" the bug eyed Patrolman Jaco sharply turned around to face Bulma, "Did you say Saiyan!?"

"Yes." Bulma narrowed her eyes. "Is that a problem?"

"To think the Saiyans aren't extinct after all, and one's even started an empire." Jaco said to himself gripping his chin. "Is he going to destroy the planet?"

"My husband, for your information hasn't destroyed a planet since he was a child." the Empress sternly said.

Jaco snapped out of his musings from Bulma's statement.

"Well, my mission is complete so we can get out of here before Frieza comes." Jaco said to Tights. The short alien was pleased with a job well done.

"You can go back. I'm staying, though." Tights said, "This is the story of a lifetime! The rise of one empire and the fall of another. I'm sure my sister can drop me off afterwards."

Bulma nodded at her sister in agreement. Jaco, knowing that the Galactic Patrolmen were forbidden from interfering with the Frieza Force directly, felt it best to leave. Besides, he knew he was no match for an adult Saiyan, let alone Frieza's men, not to mention the tyrant himself. Jaco asked his friend once more if she really wanted to stay before he boarded his ship and left the system. He needed to report what he discovered to his bosses at the Galactic Patrol Headquarters. If he was lucky, he could swing a promotion from the information gathered.

"We were on the way to the planet to deliver some food supplies to the attack squad. The Namekians only drink water, so we have been on food duty for the past couple of weeks." Bulma explained to Tights.

"You have to explain to me how all of this came about." Tights said. Her curiosity was ablaze.

"I will after the supply drop." Bulma led her sister to a saucer shaped shuttle. "Menagerie, inform the helm to get us close to planet. I'll make the supply drop myself."

"Aye, Aye, Empress Bulma." the Menagerie responded to its Empress's command.

"You can make the drop with me." Bulma motioned for her sister to enter the shuttle.

When they arrived at the Namekian village Raditz was waiting in, his men unloaded the boxes of capsules filled with various supplies. Bulma informed her husband that the fight would be happening the next day. He was surprised to hear Jaco the Galactic Patrolman had come with the warning. He was more shocked to see Bulma's sister. She wanted an interview from the newest Galactic Emperor to appear.

After the supplies were unloaded, Tights and Bulma departed back to Menagerie. They were going to catch up on what has been going on over the years. Clearly, their lives had become stranger than either ever could have guessed.

Raditz was thrilled he was finally going to get the chance to fight Frieza. Kakarot and his friends were spread throughout the villages, along with some of Raditz's soldiers and the few remaining Namekian warriors. When the Frieza Force arrived, they would be walking into an ambush. The plan was to remove Frieza's men before dealing with the tyrant himself.

On Planet Frieza NO. 76 Vegeta and his remaining partner had completed their recovery. A brown skinned, beaked, alien doctor in a white robe drained the healing tanks. The two Saiyans could feel that their power had grown.

They exited the healing pods and started to don their armor. Vegeta was ready to get started on his new mission of claiming the Namekian Dragon Balls. Nappa was unsure of his place after what had transpired on Earth.

"I must say Vegeta, I thought our sensors were malfunctioning when they recorded your power at 320,000." the beaked doctor said, "And for Nappa's to have become 24,500, what exactly happened onyour mission?"

Vegeta paused momentarily in the process of putting on his armor. The doctors statement shocked him, his power level was 320,000. This had to be a sign he was destined to become the Legendary Super Saiyan. Killing Frieza was no longer just a dream, it was within reach. This made it more important to get to Namek as fast as possible.

Nappa was dumbfounded to hear how high the Prince's power had risen. If he was thinking about striking out on his own before, hearing this put a stop to those thoughts. As long as he had the Prince on his side, he would be fine. If Vegeta wanted to attack Frieza, he could distract Zarbon and Dodoria at the very least.

"Is Frieza on this world?" Vegeta asked the doctor as he finished putting on his gear.

"No, he left some time ago for a planet called Namek." the doctor informed him.

"What!?" Vegeta asked in anger.

"H-He left to go to Namek, is what happened. Y-you should be happy, Lord Frieza has heard about your failure on Earth. He wasn't pleased." the doctor was confused by Vegeta's level of agitation.

"Lets go Nappa, quick!" Vegeta commanded.

Nappa followed after his long time leader. They arrived at the Attack Ball landing platform where their ships were parked. Nappa had no idea what Vegeta was thinking.

"Where're we going Prince Vegeta?" Nappa asked.

"Are you a complete idiot!" Vegeta shouted, "We're going to Namek! Frieza is after the Dragon Balls!"

Vegeta and Nappa loaded up in their ships and blasted off towards Planet Namek. Vegeta was planning to do everything he could to obtain immortality. He just had to get to the Dragon Balls before Frieza. If he couldn't do that, he would just have to monopolize one of the balls.

"Lord Frieza, Planet Namek should be in view soon." a gruff sounding pink crustacean like alien said.

"Excellent, Dodoria." Frieza responded. "And the Ginyu Force?"

"They should land within ten minutes of us, lord Frieza." Dodoria answered.

He had served Frieza alongside Zarbon for many years. They were a part of the Frieza Force when he inherited it from his father, King Cold. Frieza was quite a bit more ruthless than his father, but he had the power to back it up. Dodoria enjoyed the terror he commanded, being part of the Frieza's inner circle.

Like with Zarbon, most beings in the galaxy never refused Dodoria anything. Not many beings in the galaxy could rival Dodoria's power, and the ones who could would be too afraid of Frieza to do anything against him.

Frieza was anticipating using the Dragon Balls for his wish. He was prepared to destroy the planet if he didn't get what he wanted. He had destroyed other worlds for less, so Planet Namek would be no problem. Planet Vegeta was destroyed because of rumors of a Super Saiyan and Super Saiyan God. The Saiyans were the strongest work force at the time, and it meant nothing in the face of rumors.

Although it turned out more of the Saiyans survived than he thought, with two being located on a planet called Earth. Two extra Saiyans didn't matter to Frieza, with his strength he could take care of them at any time. After he finished on Namek, he would need to take a trip to Earth to deal with the other two Saiyans. Then he could finish Vegeta and Nappa; he'd let them live for too long. Especially, after learning about Turles's Tree of Might plans. The cold tyrant already had a stranglehold on the galaxy, now all he needed was a way to make his reign eternal.
