Chapter 40 - Like Father Like Daughter

Batarak Estereon's frightening image flashed before Bon Banson's eyes. The courage to fight anything and everything in her path, the way of speaking filled with arrogance, the overwhelming pressure that she emitted, Blaze was more than just a spitting image of her father; he was one even the faction emperor feared due to his unfathomable combat prowess. Batarak's powerful, attractive charisma was admired by even the top warriors in all tribes back in the warrior's era.

However, on top of all that, Blaze's current physical appearance was what left Banson and the rest mystified. It was the state of the human body that not even the first child of Batarak, Blake Estereon, succeeded to breakthrough and attain.

It was something that only Batarak could access, making Batarak Estereon exceptional from the rest. Bon Banson was just one of the few people who knew Batarak could do that. But now, standing right before him…his only daughter was exhibiting the same occurrence against him.

Swoosh!

Pearl, a tan-skinned and blue-haired woman, a representative of the Sea Tribe, rampantly slashed down in the space between Banson and Blaze with her dragon-slaying cutlass without warning, targeting Blaze's arm with animosity. Blaze simply withdrew her hand from the chief's collar and leaned back to evade the attack without moving her feet, flashing Pearl a dismissive, second-long look before she waved her off like a fly that was disturbing her.

Pearl stepped back at Blaze's side, holding up a defensive stance as she clicked her tongue in anticipation. She was the first to move, eager to prove her worth as a representative and to showcase her capabilities before the chief's eyes. However, with her overconfidence, she had failed to understand the real situation they were in right now. "You just made yourself an enemy of Lunargard by assaulting the Chief of the Council, Blaze Estereon," she announced, her head held high.

Upon hearing such words, Blaze sneered and turned her head back to face her. Causally, she tilted her body forward, crossing her arms as she looked Pearl's small body up and down mockingly. "Oho, you're saying that as if you didn't just try to cut off my arm a few seconds ago. Do you think I will simply let that go?"

Bam-!!

In the blink of an eye, a fearsome fist struck Pearl's chin from below, forcing her into the air as blood from her face accompanied her flight in an artistic red arch.

In the air, Pearl was left in shock. '…what? I didn't see her move…?'

All of a sudden, a stout man dashed freakishly into Blaze's view, charging forward with his grand anti-dragon shield raised towards her, a shield that was larger than even himself.

BOONG-!!

Odeus' eyes widened with incredulity as waves of vibrations were sent through the metal shield to his arms, feeling as if he had just hit a massive, impenetrable wall. His eyes shook as he stared at the back of his shield, not knowing what of Blaze's reaction he would see the other side of the shield. How did she stop his sneak attack? He thought he was going to bulldoze over her wide-open, arrogant stance…but he was wrong! Regret was not an option now, was it?

BANG-!!

Before he knew it, Blaze smashed the giant shield with her fist, knowing full well that it would hit Odeus on the other side.

A steady stream of blood leaked from Odeus crushed nose as the enormous strength sent him tumbling back on unsteady feet. Eventually, he dropped onto his knees in defeat, anchoring his giant shield with the bottom edge digging into the ground. He gasped for air, coughing up a mouthful of blood after being pounded in the face by the inner of his mighty shield.

'She overpowered me?! Impossible! She's just a woman!' Odeus thought, eyeing Blaze warily.

"Stop this madness right now, Blaze! No matter how powerful you are, you can't win against our numbers alone!"

"Stop this pointless struggle and surrender now!"

Yvonne and Quintel appeared beside Bon Banson, alert as they brandished their weapons in the air; a glinting, silver-bladed axe for Yvonne and a jagged mace for Quintel.

"If you say so," Blaze said flatly, shrugging. She walked over boisterously, seeming to do as she was told, but her aura continued to radiate her unmatched superiority. The power she displayed was not one-hundred percent of her latent physical potential. This was to avoid accidentally killing them. In this way, she didn't have to put her life at risk to fight, unlike when she faced Jarak. This such level would only make her so hungry after.

'They are too weak,' Blaze thought. 'We won't have a chance if we fought Alistein like this. Our only hope is to sacrifice as many lives as we can to deplete his stamina. But that is only if he attacks the Emperor alone. This is no good!'

She came to a stop in front of the Earth Tribe representatives, they who couldn't make a move despite how close they were to her. Their weapons were visibly shaking in their hands, knowing they would probably end up like Pearl and Odeus if they attacked.

Blaze noticed and barked out a laugh.

"Is this the best the Council's representatives can do? Since when did they become such a laughingstock?" she jeered, tossing her scarlet locks over her shoulder flashily. She stepped into their personal space, waving her arms and prodding the tips of their weapons as she wished to prove her point as the three of them could nothing.

"Blaze Estereon, you're crossing the line! Your father raised you to be strong, not disrespectful!" Bon Banson scolded, standing up from the ground.

But before he could fully rise, Blaze suddenly rose her foot and stepped on his chest, forcefully pinning him back onto the ground. "Are you mental? Who the hell are you to lecture me?" she scorned. "My late father told me that respect is only for those who deserve it, not for those who demand it. What did you even do to earn my respect, b*stard? Huh?! You're just a useless, ugly, fat man bragging about his undeserved success all day long!"

Blaze put on more weight and pressed down harder on his chest as he gasped for breath, glaring down at him with the utmost contempt.

"So don't you ever talk about my father, you disgusting pig!" she hissed. "I'll slit your throat!"

And just then, Kingsley arrived at the scene, frozen with shock. "Blaze! What the hell are you…?"
