Gine didn't rush to attack, instead, she shot multiple Ki blast at the Bugman to merely measure. The attacks were a success and hit the target, as he just stood in place. Gine took to the sky, the ground wasn't a good place to be for a fight in this situation.

While this fight was in place, Kayn looked at the tournament bracket to see where he was. He found that it would be sometime before his fight. Bardock's fight would come before, that was for sure. Seeing where he stood in all of this, he turned his attention back to the arena.

Mantikis came out of the Ki Barrage unscathed and flew toward the sky to attack Gine. His once humanoid hands had turned in sharp blades. He jabbed them in swift successions against Gine, but she managed to dodge them all before trying to fly higher into the sky.

However, his blade-like hands had reverted back to humanoid form; grabbing Gine by the foot and throwing her down toward the arena.

Gine caught herself mid-flight and looked up towards Manitkis, who was staring back at her. They appeared to be evenly matched, for the time being, so Gine didn't use Kaio-Ken from the start.

"I'll get serious now, keep watch!" Mantikis began to power up, but he also started to transform.

His original lime green skin began to show signs of change, as it turned Dark Green in coloration. His size increased, taking the form of a true Pray Mantis. He sprouted sharp wings that looked like they could cut through anything.

His strength obviously increased along with his transformation. With his strength being evenly matched with Gine before, it had gone up by 2.5 times that.

"There it is folks, Mantikis's final form, this is astonishing! How will contestant Gine handle him now?" The Mushroom headed announcer hype the situation up through the mic.

Gine's eyebrows knitted, she didn't like bugs but she knew he wasn't a bad person.

"There's still time, just forfeit, no one will blame you." Mantikis' voice was deeper now, so it lost its l.u.s.ter and calm from before.

"..."

Gine didn't reply.

"Vibro Slash!" Mantikis shook his head, then wave his sharp-bladed limbs. As soon as his voice fell, an invisible slash cut through the air, quickly arriving at Gine. She was stunned but moved to dodge, however, she received a cut on her arm.

"Gine, get this over with!" Bardock said from the side. Gine nodded and just when she was about to activate Kaio-Ken, Mantikis released a barrage of Vibro Slashes.

"Don't blame for this later!" Mantikis said.

"Ahh!" Gine dodged the slashes as best as she could but was still slashed almost everywhere on her body.

"Kaio Ken x3!" If Mantikis's power level shot up by 2.5 times, then his strength should be 7.5 million. Gine flew off into the distance but suddenly disappeared. But she quickly arrived over Mantikis's head out of nowhere, much to his shock.

Before he could react, he was kicked on the head and sent crashing toward the stage. Gine didn't stop there, Manitkis quickly stood up to retaliate, but Gine lunged at him; sending both of her feet into his stomach.

With his current size, it was possible to fit both of her limbs there with ease. Mantikis screamed in pain before he was sent out of the ring into a wall.

"T-that... was amazing! Gine came out on top, she manage to beat the big and strong Mantikis!" The mushroom headed announcer announced and everyone started to cheer.

Gine jumped down from the stage and received medical attention for her cuts. Kayn seemed to have thought of something and warped away. His turn wasn't coming anytime soon, so he just left to do what he wanted to do.

Kayn appeared at the measuring station and walked inside. He walked over to the desk where a humanoid attendant was stationed.

"Excuse me, I have a few questions." Kayn said.

"Oh, what can I do for you, is there something you need?"

"Actually, yes." Kayn pointed to the machine and continued, "I was wondering how this machine was made, is there a blueprint for it?" This would make things far easier for Kayn if he could take the blueprint of this machine for later.

"Ah, yes, there is but I don't have the power to pull something like that out. I'll talk to the manager if you want, she should be able to get you what you want."

"That would be good, thanks." The red humanoid man stood up and walked to the backroom. Kayn could sense several people in the backroom, but one was particularly stronger than the rest.

Kayn waited for 10 minutes, he was starting to get worried because his fight might suddenly start. But there was still time for him, so he relaxed a bit, but if they didn't come soon he would leave.

The red humanoid man returned but there was no one with him. However, he passed Kayn 2 sheets of paper that showed many components used to create the machine.

"Yeah, this type of machine isn't some big-time secret, so she said you can take a copy." The red man spoke when he saw Kayn's expression, as his expression hinting 'why they give it to him so easily'?

"Ah, thanks, but this power core thing."

"Our power core was powered by the help of some purple cat long ago. All you have to do is power it once, and it'll work indefinitely." The Redman nodded and said.

"Oh, so how high can the energy measure before it reaches its limit?" Kayn asked.

"Uh, it depends on how strong that guy was, but the people present at that time was the Grand Kai and the rest of the Kais, who came to greet him personally. They seemed scared more than anything else, but he powered the machine core, so it depends on his power scaling."

"Purple Cat? Okay, do you have another core that he powered that you can give me?" Kayn tested to see if they would give him one, it wasn't bad to try.

"He powered 5 in total, so it shouldn't be a problem to give you 1. No one has asked for any of these cores and I doubt anyone else would." The man stood up and went to the back again. Kayn teleported back to the arena to see what was going on.

"Not my turn yet, but Bardock's turned just passed." Kayn looked at the tournament sheet and confirmed it. This tournament was moving fast, Bardock even won his fight.

The first round would eliminate 128 people. In ten more fights, he would have his turn. He was just going to end the fight quickly. Kayn returned back to the measuring station and was handed the core.

Kayn thanked the man again before leaving. The core was purple and black in color, the energy it gave off was dreadful and oppressing! Kayn slipped it into his [Storage Watch] awaited his turn, which soon came.

"Looks like everyone made it to the second round." Kayn didn't see Bardock's fight, but he knew from the roster that he had won.

"Yes, my opponent was a weakling, so it was easy." Bardock spoke bluntly. If his opponent heard this he would probably want to rematch Bardock in his rage.

"I gained a bit from my opponent, I felt my strength increase a bit from our fight." Gine explained that she didn't end the fight so quickly because she wanted to gain a boost later.

"Tsk! I didn't gain anything from that guy, he didn't help me at all." Bardock frowned at his fortune, but he knew that his next opponent wouldn't be such a pushover, hopefully.

"That's good, maybe you guys should continue to train with King Kai here for a bit more. After you've gotten stronger, you can join me later if I don't leave before then." Under King Kai's complete Guidance, they should both improve dramatically.

"I like this idea, I'll do it." Bardock agreed immediately.

"I want to as well, but we should go pick up Kakarot and Raditz first, shouldn't we?" Gine thought about this allot. She was out getting stronger, but what about her other sons?

"Don't worry, we'll get them soon." Kayn assured.

"When is soon?" Gine's eyebrows squinted.

"It's estimated that Raditz will make an appearance on Earth in a few years to pick up Kakarot to join him. However, things will go south really quickly and they both will end up dying." Kayn coughed and said.

"What!? How could that happen, how would they die!?" Gine was shocked and scared hearing Kayn's words.

"Damn! Those 2 are gonna get themselves killed in the end!" Bardock was stunned as well, he started second thinking about staying here.

"That's where I come in to stop it, don't worry, I got this. The reason I'm waiting is to get them in one fell swoop." Kayn quickly said.

"How would they die, though?" Gine couldn't help but wonder, was someone trying to kill them, or did an accident occur?

"I don't know, but I'll tell you later when I find out." Kayn shrugged with his arm out, as if he didn't know.

"Okay, but you have to make it on time, they can't fall to tragedy." Gine was really worried now, but she never questioned how Kayn could know something like that and blindly believed him.

"Hehe, have I ever failed?"

With that, an hour passed and round 2 had started.
