Chapter 13:The Dungeon Lord decided to grow some vegetables.

After trying another couple times with no success, I took a break to reflect about it.

As I considered my past experiences I noticed Mana was always the key to my skills. No matter if it was Mana Sight, or the manipulation of the Dungeon Core, or even digging through walls, Mana always played a huge part on it. So it would make sense to expect Mana to be linked to this new Skill as well.

"What if I use Mana on my voice?"

That idea suddenly appeared on my mind. It sounded reasonable... reasonable but... how the heck am I supposed to do that!? I mean, its one thing to concentrate Mana in your hands, your legs or even your body, but when it comes to voice, things are different! I mean, it's not a physical thing!

Then I started to think about what is the origin of the voice...the mouth? So I tried covering my mouth with Mana and it had a surprising effect...

It made me silent.

T_T

Hmm...I think I heard in my past life that the voice came from the vocal cords in the throat. But where exactly is that? I was no priest, doctor nor necromancer to know the inside outs of the body, so the exact location was foreign to me. The only thing I knew is that it should be somewhere in the neck...

"Since I don't know the exact place, let's just reinforce the whole neck!"

After doing so I tested again, and to my surprise it actually worked!

"Building Mode!"

[Understood!]

Soon after saying the word I activated Mana Sight just in time to see the light pulse passing through me like a sonar, painting all walls blue.

"Success! Next is Sonar!"

[Understood!]

.

..

...

Nothing??

Walking back to the Dungeon Core I saw the map showing inside of it.

Hmm...Ok...maybe it was too much to expect the radar to appear in front of me... T_T

Even though I couldn't see the map nor the status screen while away from the dungeon core, being able to activate the building mode, summoning and expansion from far away was already very useful. Maybe as the dungeon rank grew such faults would be corrected, but at least for now I was happy for this update.

Next on my list was another visit to the orange area. But before that, I decided it was already past the time to get some equipment, so lets summon some items.

Looking at the Summoning list I was not sure if I should smile or cry. Smile because of the number of weapons and armors ready for purchase that would never appear in the outside world stores. Cry because I had not enough authority to summon most of them. Of course this problem would be dealt with as long as I ranked up a few more times. But until then, I had to make do with overpriced low quality iron products that looked like they were made by apprentices with almost no experience.

Another option was building a forge and making them myself...but I had no experience, so it would be even worse.

"If only I could hire someone to make those items for me..."

Wait! Maybe I could actually do that!

"Summoning! Show me the list of creatures with Blacksmith skill."

[Understood!]

Soon a list of more than one hundred creatures appeared before me.

"There are too many...something is wrong...oh! I know!"

The list this time was quite shorter, with only 2 Creatures on it.

"Sounds too good to be true... Maybe I should give it a try?"

When I see descriptions like this it becomes hard to treat them as monsters...

The problem is I have no way to feed them at all...

Let's not even talk about meat, first we should see what are the prices for vegetables!

...5 minutes later...

"There is no way I will pay 50u for a single corn ear!"

"35u for each tulip!? Why don't you rob me!?"

"Those watermelons are more expensive than iron armors!!! Maybe after eating I should make an armor out of them!"

"That's it! I give up! I refuse to pay such abusive prices! I don't care how, I will grow them myself!!!"
