Chapter 42:The Village Chief's travel log.

Day 1

Afternoon

The weather is good, there are few clouds and the sun is not strong enough to burn my bald head.

Today we depart from Atlas village, with out final destination being Otron City, where the Lord resides.

Our motive for this trip is to ask the Lord for help to deal with the broken seal of the Dungeon near our village. In more details, the seal seems to have been broken today after an earthquake of unknown origins. A hunter team was sent to investigate and they found a terrifying armored monster who spilled fireballs at them and was immune to arrows. With those two facts in mind I have determined that the village's power is insufficient to deal with the problem and that's why I seek the Lord's help.

Day 1

Late Night

The weather is good, there are few clouds and the moon light reflects perfectly in my bald head.

Unfortunately we found a big problem, the bridge to Blimery Mine has collapsed due to the earlier earthquake. For now we plan to make camp and wait until the morning to take further decisions.

Day 2

Early Morning

The weather is good, there are no clouds in the sky and my bald head is starting to fry.

After discussing with old Martins, we decided to change our route. Our new plan is to head back to Glarkvale, take a boat to Tonivale, cross the mountain to Rakport and follow the road to Pregas Fortress City. From there we can either send a letter to the Lord or take another 2 days to reach Otron City.

Day 2

Late Morning

The weather is good, there are no clouds in the sky and my bald head feels so hot I could fry some eggs on it if I had any eggs.

We arrived at Glarkvale. The village had big farms and also a small harbor where the fisherman left their fishing boats. After negotiating with their village chief we received a fishing boat to cross the lake in exchange of letting them use our wagon until we are back.

Day 2

Evening

The weather is cloudy since mid-afternoon which helped lower the temperature of my bald head.

The winds were in our favor, allowing us to reach Tonivale before the night fall. At night we visited their village chief and exchanged temporarily two horses for the boat we used to get here. The cheapskate didn't offer us a room to stay the night so we had to pay for a room in the inn. The food was tasteless but at least it was warm.

Day 3

Early Morning

The weather is cloudy and there are signs of rain approaching.

After buying some dried meat for the trip, we decided to hurry up and try to cross the mountain before the rain.

----------------------------------------------------//------------------------------------------------------

Day 3

Afternoon

The rain reached us just as we were crossing the mountain.

To allow us to dry our wet bald heads and avoid being catch in any landslide, the decided to set camp and wait the weather clean up.

----------------------------------------------------//------------------------------------------------------

Day 4

Noon

After a whole night of rain the weather doesn't show any signs of cleaning up. Luckily we brought some dried meat, so we wont go hungry.

----------------------------------------------------//------------------------------------------------------

Day 4

Night

The rain finally stops. My bald head celebrates the clean weather reflecting the stars. I pray for a cloudy day tomorrow, with a nice summer breeze.

----------------------------------------------------//------------------------------------------------------

Day 5

Afternoon

Only half my prays were answered, the nice summer breeze blows my bald head while the Sun tries frying it will all it's might.

We finally arrived at Rakport, from here until Pregas there are no further stops so we decided to rest for the rest of the day and have a good slept in the inn. The fresh sea fish was tasty and had a different flavor from the common lake fish we are used to eat.

----------------------------------------------------//------------------------------------------------------

Day 6

Early morning

The sun is still harassing my bald head as we depart toward Pregas. I pray for clouds and big tree shadows to bless our way.

----------------------------------------------------//------------------------------------------------------

Day 6

Night

The Sun bids us farewell as we enter the Pregas Fortress City. The whole city is surrounded by 12 meters high walls, protecting the interior from anything, sun light included.

I asked a kind soldier for a cheap inn since it's been long I had been in this city, and by coincidence or destiny he guided us exactly to the same inn I had used last time.

We ate a dish made with fried shrimps before going to bed, it was good enough to make me think it was worthy to have come all the way to here.

Next day we shall decide between a letter or going personally.

----------------------------------------------------//------------------------------------------------------

Day 7

Morning

The sun came back but this time my bald head was prepared, because I bought a brand new hat just as we exited the inn.

Leaving the horses at the inn, we arrived at the north gate and looked for a caravan to take our letter. Luckily, as we waited for the caravan, we heard some rumors that the lord was visiting this city right now. So we decided to take our chance and deliver the news personally.

Day 7

Afternoon

The sun tried to get revenge on me by calling the help of the wind. I held my new hat firmly and didn't let it fly away.

We went to governor mansion to meet the Lord. The guard stopped us and asked for a proof of our identity. For a moment I was at a loss in what to do, but as I touched my pocket I noticed I still had the village chief seal with me. With the seal our identity was easily proven but he still made us wait for 2 hours before meeting us...
