Chapter 80：The Dungeon Lord swims while everybody else works.

Discovering the horn on my head was quite a shocking experience.

Leaving aside the jokes and myths, this made me wake up to the fact I was no longer human.

I started feeling like an outsider, I started doubting if I really should be letting those people in the Dungeon, if every thing I did was the right thing to do.

Sure, Bia didn't seem to care about it, but what about others? Would they judge me or see me with other eyes now? Would they be scared, disgusted or even attack me again?

As bad thoughts started taking over my mind I slapped my face with both my palms.

"P-Plate!?"

Luckily it was a single horn, or people would start thinking I was some ancestral demon or descendant.

Maybe if I wear some head gear, no one will notice it...

Well, instead of wasting my time worrying about a horn that I can't do anything about, I should just take care of the problems as they came to me.

"Hello, Plate, anyone home?"

"Sorry Bia, I was just thinking for a bit..."

"Damn, Plate, you gave me a scare! You face suddenly went pale and it looked like you were going to faint."

"Hehehe... It's nothing, I just panicked a bit, but now everything is fine."

"...if you say so..."

"Oh, right, Bia, how are my orders coming?"

"Sorry. Because of all the things happening, your furniture will surely be delayed..."

"What about the clothes?"

"The first batch should be finished in a few days..."

"Great. I can't wait to have some proper clothes."

"Yeah, sure... all right, you got your fun, now let's talk about the real deal."

"??"

"You see all these tomatoes? I need you to organize the free people to harvest them and store them at the warehouse over there."

"Really? You want us to work? While the elves do nothing?"

"That's my second point. Go to the elves and call Stone, the big guy that was with me yesterday. Tell him that I want the elves to harvest the corn and watermelons and store them at the warehouse too."

"Hey Plate! Are you making us do all the work!?"

"Of course not. I have to take care of the Dungeon. I just expanded it, so now I got 2 new floors to mine and build."

"Hmm.... will you be fine alone?"

"No problem. Instead of mining, its more like swimming. I feel like a fish in the ocean swimming while searching for treasures..."

"????? If you say so..."

"I could take you to mine with me if you want."

"Taking a girl to a mining date? Are you crazy!? Do I look like a dwarf to you!?"

"Actually y-ouch!"

"Don't you dare say yes! I will be going now. Thanks to someone I got a lot of things to do..."

"See ya." ^_^

All right, since we have decided, let's do it!

I walked to the first floor stairs and climbed it for the first time in a while. Reaching the new second floor what I found in front of me was a small empty room.

"Mana Sight! Building mode!"

I activated mana sight and building mode and the walls around be became a bit transparent in my eyes. I was able to see the gems and minerals as clusters of colorful light beyond the walls up to a few meters distance.

Not waiting any longer, I covered myself with a small cover of Mana and jumped through the wall.

"Let's see... here are some rubies, some topaz, this seems like it's gold and this..."

As I swam through the walls, my storage started filling itself with all kind of gems and minerals.

Because I never got tired while inside the dungeon, I could go hours and hours swimming around like this and didn't even notice the time pass by, and that's what I ended up doing.

After an unknown amount of time, I decided to check the time and called status.

[22:00]

What!? It's already night!!!

Because I was inside the walls, no one could reach me, so I started worrying if anything happened so I decided to swim back to the stair.

Great, now, where are the stairs?...

Because I had thoughtlessly jumped into the walls and collected gems right and left without a proper plan, now I was completely lost.

Let's try heading toward the building sonar's origin, it should take me to the next floor's stairs.

So I started following the direction the waves came from and finally reached...the first floor stairs?

Shouldn't they come from the upper floor?

"Well, at least I found my way back..."

Saying so I headed through the stair to check if anything happened while I was away.

On the first floor I found the fields had been fully harvested...OK, maybe not fully, there were still the Turpins that were not ready to be harvested yet.

As for the tomatoes, corns and watermelons, they were all gone.

One of the elven guards waved to me and came in my direction.

"Good day, Mr. Plate. Stone asked me to deliver a message to you."

"Good night. Please, say it."

"Hmm. OK, so here is the message: Mr. Plate, the amount of crops harvested won't be enough to feed everybody. Please make us another field."

"All right. Got it. Thanks."

"No problem. Have a nice day..."

Well, considering his message nothing happened today. But it seems like I will have to make another field...

Should I make it in the second floor?

No, because of the contract, they can't enter the second floor. So I will have to make it in the first floor.

It seems like I will need another "The Sun" as well.

Luckily, I got a lot of gems today so it shouldn't be a problem.

Then let's add it to the other side of the warehouse.

Working day and night. I never thought a Dungeon Lord's job was this hard...
