Whew, that was close...the only way I could have defeated him was by using more Divine Magic spells, which I'm not willing to do right now...he forced me to use Restoration Magic multiple times, and I have about five percent less divinity in me than I did when the fight started...and wow, was he strong!
He even got my left arm right before I pushed him through my portal, forcing me to again use my Restoration Magic. I managed to snatch his pouch before sending him through...let's see what spell he used to nullify my General Magic...hm, it doesn't look like it's in here, too bad.
In all the centuries I've been around, this current time period just might be my favorite...Azyl Roake, so powerful that he should have been the strongest human to ever exist, but because of all the external power boosts that so many humans have been getting recently, he's...well, he's still one of the strongest humans around...actually, after fighting him just now, I think he might actually be the strongest...no one's ever pushed me that hard before.
The only one who could conceivably be stronger is Kuro Black...but I can't be sure since I haven't seen what he's currently capable of, I was trapped in Samsara's punishment when he got his last power up. But even setting aside Azyl and Kuro, there are plenty of humans alive right now who'd be considered the strongest in any other time period.
Dark Magic, or Karma as some of them call it, was harnessed by The Valaque Empire, giving rise to a handful of humans with powers seemingly beyond what any other human is capable of...it had a low success rate and ended up getting shelved...and then, the Vampire Forbidden Zone shattered, with three humans absorbing and gaining their powers.
Not to mention the True Anima Mode that was unlocked for the first time in about five hundred years. Then there were the Demons and subsequent three more True Anima awakenings, but those don't count since I planned those.
Still, so many powerful humans all coinciding in this time period, the same time period in which I'd decided to release the Forbidden Zones, a decision I made over two centuries ago...how fascinatingly brilliant, I never planned this, I never even saw it coming...and I just love it when such unexpected and unforseen factors arise, it makes things so much more interesting and chaotic.
And that's why I decided to teleport Azyl away...he's so powerful that it'd be a huge waste to kill him now. After all, this is just the start of my fun, I intend to make full use of the chaos in this time period to create a cycle of even more chaos, and I've got so many ways to do so...but the existences of mortals like Azyl and Kuro are crucial for that.
Especially Kuro, his existence is practically chaos itself...I think I've figured out why power is practically drawn to him, when so many other humans are simply drawn to power...it isn't just lucky coincidence that he keeps getting so many power boosts, a force is driving him to gain power, possibly even manipulating events to do so...his body wasn't created normally, after all.
All other Reincarnators start life in this world from birth, but he started straight from the age of sixteen...I remember that day, I sensed a trace of Divine Magic here in the mortal world. His body was created using Divine Magic, just like Shiro, the difference being that Shiro was an artificially created soul, while Kuro was a real soul that already existed...I remember being fascinated by his healing ability while watching him with Observation Magic when he first came to this world. After that I lost interest for a while, until he gained Dark Magic.
I can't believe I didn't think of this before, I was just watching him grow drastically stronger bit by bit with fascination and not really giving much thought to how or why he kept gaining power at such regular intervals, despite not actively seeking it out.
Divine Magic at its strongest can affect the very fabric of reality, time and space...normally, creating a human body wouldn't require that much Divine Magic, but Kuro's body wasn't a normal human body...that healing ability was beyond human...
No doubt about it, such a power would cost a significant amount of Divine Magic...Samsara probably had so much to spare back then that he didn't think much of it, I'm guessing.
In other words...Kuro's body was created with a significant amount of Divine Magic, and while it doesn't sustain itself on or contain any Divine Magic now, it's likely the driving force behind why power is drawn to him...well, either that, or it really is all just coincidence and he has more luck than everyone else in the world combined.
But there's no way that's possible...I think.
Well, anyway, the satisfaction of that last fight was starting to wear off, so I think it's time for me to get in on some more action. Hm...yeah, let's release the Demons now! I opened up a portal to my dimension and let the ten remaining un-hosted Demons fly out.
"Alright, go possess whoever you please, and then...do whatever you want to!" I instructed them telepathically.
In addition to Dimensional Magic, Observation Magic and Weathering Magic, I could use one more type of Divine Magic at no cost to my divinity...the ability to telepathically communicate with monsters, even the unintelligent ones...or rather, I used to be able to, almost all the unintelligent monsters were now under Kuro's control, even I can't override that control...even though I could back when they were under the control of their respective monster kings.
Hm, looks like I still can't activate any General Magic spells...whatever spell he used to nullify those spells, it's still active...but probably not over a long distance, if I move away from this spot I should be able to use those spells again. Now, then...I think I'll watch what kind of chaos the Demons cause, just for a bit, before I look for my next fight...

Alright, before he gets a chance to use his Vampire God Mode along with whatever Demon powers he's gained...I need to use my full power and finish him. My improved transformation, which I'd renamed to Demonic Vampire Mode, multiplies my power tenfold, I can create artifical moonlight for a further double boost, and finally, I can absorb solar energy for another triple boost, the sun will have set in a few minutes, but right now, there's still more than enough sunlight, dim as it may be, for me to absorb...
That's for a total of a x60 boost to my normal state, not to mention that I was stronger in my normal state than before thanks to the Demon powers I gained...it just might be enough to match him...I'm pretty sure that right now, I'm stronger than he was in his Vampire God Mode during his last fight with Kuro.
I swiftly began absorbing solar energy as I entered my new Demonic Vampire Mode, while forming an orb of artificial moonlight in my hand, firing it upwards at I completed it...once the sun sets, I'll be deprived of solar energy, but I'll have the moonlight boost for as long as the moon is out...too bad it's not a full moon tonight, I've never gotten to try out that particular triple boost in a real fight...
"Huh, looks like you've got Demon powers too, and you're all glowy...I think I'll go all out against you," He remarked with a smirk, "Have a taste of my Demon Mode."
I'm guessing that's what he renamed his Vampire God Mode to. As he transformed, his wings and tail grew out, the skin on his forearms turned tough, leathery like a reptile and became darker, with a red marking pattern around them, curved spikes extending out from his elbows, horns growing on either side of his head and a third eye opening in the middle of his forehead.
"Selesa, keep an eye out for any more enemies, I'll take care of this guy," I instructed, before zipping towards him at my top speed, a brief look of surprise in his eyes, before he used Teleport to appear behind me.
I swiftly spun around while forming an ice blade in my hand, which shattered as he formed a bone blade to counter it. I need to avoid making eye contact with him, if he has Chaos Magic, then I'll be finished, I also need to avoid the line of his palms to prevent him from using Repulsion or Beckon against me...this is gonna be tough. I then fired a Solar Beam while zipping back and away from him as fast as I could.
As it struck the middle of his chest, his outfit and skin in that spot got scorched off, before he disappeared using Teleport before it could go through any further. He reappeared above me, firing a barrage of wind-enhanced fireballs and lightning-coated water blasts, which I narrowly evaded and countered with Solar Beams, when suddenly, he used Teleport again.
Damn it, stay still! I extended my bow and fired out a barrage of ice arrows as he appeared to my left, one grazing his right shoulder, but he was able to evade the rest. His hands then began glowing purple, as he chased after me...oh, no, that looks like Obliteration Magic, I can't afford to let that hit me or I'm finished!
He then disappeared again using Teleport, reappearing right in front of me with a smirk and firing the blast at my face. I swiftly spun myself across to dodge it, as it grazed the top of my left ear, before going through a building and forming a hole in it. I began to rapidly descend to get away, but he used Teleport again, reaching me before I could get to the ground and grabbing my shoulder with a firm grip.
"You're fast and strong enough to keep up with me, but you can't beat me...now, die!" He exclaimed, driving a bone sword towards my chest.
I swiftly reached for it with my right hand as it began to close in, while pointing my left hand straight down. Right as his bone blade went through my armor and began to pierce my skin, I managed to touch it with my right hand while visualizing...and used Alchemic Magic to reduce its density as much as possible.
Instantly, it shattered without going any further, right as I used Levitate to grab a sword that was laying on the ground and whip it up towards him with a quick upward flick of my wrist. He let go of my shoulder in alarm and his gaze began to dart away, before I fired a Solar Beam at his eyes, eliciting a cry of pain from him as I blinded all three eyes and most of the skin near them...looks like that wasn't strong enough to scorch through his fortified skull.
He then coughed out blood as the blade pierced through his neck, before shattering it before I could slice off his head with it...looks like he can use Alchemic Magic too. I swiftly flew away to get some distance, while firing more Solar Beams at him.
They grazed him but I couldn't land any direct hits...he must be using Lightning Sensory Field to keep track of me. I then formed a couple of ice boomerangs and swung them down at him, one missing and the other grazing his neck.
I need to hurry and kill him before he heals his eyes. I formed an ice arrow and fired it off wide to his left, before firing a second arrow, one with a flat end, at the first arrow. He seemed confused for a moment, before the second arrow struck and deflected the first one...straight towards him.
He began to fire a blast of flames at it in alarm, partially melting it but unable to fully erase it, as it pierced his palm...but that was just a decoy...the instant I fired the arrows, I threw him off a bit, and I used that moment to swiftly form an ice blade and used my Alchemic Magic to increase the density of the ice as much as possible, before zipping towards him as fast as I possibly could, swinging the blade across towards his neck as I closed it...now, die!
