At the same time out there, Lionel and Danzel explained the unique mastery and real power that only Time Masters possessed.
If time-controllers could only stop time within a specific limit range, the Time Master could stop time in an unlimited range while freezing the Elementalist knights' movement.
Basically, all time-controllers were magic-based, so they didn't have any elemental energy like other elementalists. This information was new to Niken because all this time, she thought time-controllers use elemental power.
However, the size of the time-controller's level of magic power was so small that it cannot form a magic circle. Only wizards have the magic circle. Thus, people often mistake the time-controller were elementalists. In fact, time-controllers belong to the wizard family but were in the lowest caste as they couldn't make a magic circle.
Another advantage of Time Masters that time-controllers do not have is that the master could control elements in his time zone and deformed it at his will like other Elementalist do.
Niken already knew she could summon any element to help her, but she never knew that she could reshape it.
"I could make offense or defense elemental as I wished?
"That's right. As long as you are in the time zone, you can call upon all elemental spirits. You can summon wind, water, fire, earth, and even plants, and you could order them at your will. But if you didn't create your time zone, you can't summon those elemental spirits anymore."
"Just make sure you created your own time zone in advance. It will be a lot easier to use rather than you made it on the spot." Danzel continued.
"How do I make it? Should I make the time freeze?"
"No, it will drain your stamina. You need to make a time zone that would permanently available in your astral."
"I could do that? How?"
"Well, that's why he's here to train you like he trained your mother." chuckled Danzel looking at the enthusiastic young girl.
"If so, why only royal members of the kingdom can become Time Masters? Don't all time-controllers have the same potential in becoming a Time Master?" Niken felt that the Time Master's inheritance system was unfair because many of the time-controllers out there were far better and more durable than her.
Just because she was the daughter of a previous Time Master, she must become the next Time Master to inherit her mother's legacy. That would not fair for those time-controllers that had greater potential to become one than her.
"In this case, you are wrong. There is a reason why only royal members can become Time Masters."
"To be exact, there is a reason why your mother's ancestors were chosen to become a ruler in Nishian." Danzel continued completing Lionel's explanation.
"My ancestor?"
Niken was shocked at the unexpected explanation.
"Long before the kingdom of Zeed was destroyed, one of the noble ladies of pureblood was married off to the Nishian to establish good relations. This princess has a unique ability that is not so liked by the people around her. Therefore, the Nishian people made her their queen and her husband a king. Since then, Nishian was known as a kingdom."
"Is the lady could control time?"
"More frightening than that. Not only could she control the time, but she could walk on that time itself. She could go back to the past and move around in a mere second as if she were using a teleport skill. Moreover, she could go to the future, which beyond belief by other wizards."
"Sometimes, this woman will say something absurd about the upcoming disaster. She asked the royal member to listen to her advice, but no one believed her. In the end, the king drove her out of the kingdom using the excuse of a political marriage."
"That's so cruel." Niken felt sympathy for the woman.
"That's right. The king was so cruel by sending the woman to marry a low-caste wizard. The king indirectly lowered her rank and cast her out disgracefully."
"Who would have thought, what the woman said came true. Everyone who lived in the kingdom of Zeed was killed by someone a few years later. Since then, the woman had sealed her power for fear of being known by the killer.
Even though she had sealed her real power, her blood as a wizard still flowed into her child and offspring. Only first-born daughter that could receive the inheritance of the power of the Time Master while others were called time-controllers."
"Does that sadistic killer also target my ancestors?" Niken shuddered to realize that even her ancestors did not escape the danger.
"That's right. Luckily before the culprit found her, the nine Elementalists had defeated him and imprisoned him. Since then, the pure-blooded red-eyed woman lived in Nishian and lived happily with her new family."
"Imprisoned him? Is he still alive?"
"…"
Danzel glanced at Lionel, who now had a flat face. For a moment, neither of them spoke while Niken was waiting anxiously for an answer. Niken knew that the cold-blooded killer who destroyed the kingdom of Zeed was also a pure-blooded wizard and could live for a thousand years. So there was a possibility that this killer was still alive and was in a particular prison to hold back his strength.
"You don't need to worry about it right now. Now our first priority is to make you a true Time Master."
Hearing Lionel's explanation made Niken gave up and no longer curious about its answer.
"If I train hard and enhance my cultivation energy, would I be strong enough to protect my brother? Can I protect my friends? I no longer want to be a burden to them. Royal father, mother, and big brother, they all risked their lives just to protect me. I don't want to see anyone get injured anymore. I don't want to be a burden that…" a gentle pat on her head cut her off.
"Stop right there. Princess Xiao Yue, you have never been a burden to your brother. I'm sure your parents also never considered you as their burden. You are their biggest treasure, their beloved little angel they ever met. They kept you safe from any harm as they love you."
"What Danzel said is true. Your brother is the same as your parents. He risked his life to protect you because he loves you, so never to say you are a burden. He would be sad if he heard you saying this."
Niken sadly lowered her head. She didn't want to be a burden while she didn't want her brother to be sad. She decided to be stronger than she ever used to be. That way, she wouldn't need to see her loved ones sacrifice their lives just for her.
