2 Ch. 2 'Scarlet Fiery'

"Edward, stop teasing her. Otherwise, she will wreck up this place."

Edward chuckled as he loved seeing the girl's pouted face. But again, he couldn't let the girl destroy the practicing stadium, could he?

Then without fear, he approached the furry girl and held her.

"Alright, it is enough. I am sorry."

As expected, the fire immediately extinguished, and the temperature of the training room also began not so hot. But now the girl's face felt hot instead.

"Sir Fred, I will take her. See you later."

"Yes, yes. Just go."

Edward took Scarlet's hand and escorted her out of the room.

"Scar, you are very careless. Didn't I say not to make a perfect score? Aren't you afraid that the others will find out your identity?"

"I like my scores. After all, father and mother feel proud of me. What is the problem?"

"The problem is..." Edward lowered his face slightly to whisper to the girl. He had no idea his small gesture made Scarlet's heart beat faster. "You are The Knight of the Flames, the red knight! Even Sir Fred is suspecting you."

Scarlet giggled happily, "Take it easy. No history says that the Elementalist knights were women. So no one will be suspicious. Am I not the first woman to become a knight?"

Edward raised an eyebrow, "A Woman? You?"

"Do you want to pick a fight?" Scarlet asked, frowning.

Edward smiled with satisfaction. "That's why I said you are still a child."

"Hey!"

"I like to see you frown like this," said Edward pinching the girl's nose. "But of course, I'd like seeing you smile and laugh too."

Scarlet reddened hard, hearing that. Then she let Edward pulled her and headed to the school canteen to have lunch. It's lunch break after all.

Now we know the knight of flames with a red symbol was a young girl called Scarlet Fiery. She had found her inamorato[1], who also had the same elemental energy, namely Edward.

Until five years ago, Scarlet was just an ordinary fire Elementalist girl. She was not a knight and was not in love with Edward at all.

She was only ten years old the first time she met him. Her father hired Edward as her bodyguard. She did not like Edward at all. She preferred to be together with her father and mother. But for some reason, it seemed like her parents didn't love her.

Those five years spent with Edward, she felt unhappy. She knew Edward loved her very much, like a brother who loved his sister.

Edward knew all her needs, her favorite foods, even the man, knew when she had a good mood or not. Alas, Scarlet was not happy at all.

How could she be happy?

Every day she was locked in this house, not allowed to leave the house. Even though she's free to walk the backyard of her home, she was still curious about the outside world.

Once, she tried to jump over her backyard fence to look around outside the house. The guards caught her immediately, and since then, she was not allowed to come out of home at all.

She even was forbidden to go to the backyard, which was her favorite place.

More and more days, she was increasingly depressed and increasingly disliked Edward. The young man always obeyed what her father ordered.

After living like a prisoner for months, Scarlet became increasingly convinced that her parents did not love her.
