62 Ch. 62 'Rumor'

Hokuto and Shin Ha arrived at the SS club room simultaneously where Scarlet and Edward were waiting for them. Hokuto didn't find any way to help Kazuto's inamorata, but he calmed them down by saying that Niken would be fine.

As for Shin Ha, he managed to find where the time-controllers came from but could not find the island. During his search, he heard that the island had disappeared since being attacked by a group of unknown elementalists twelve years ago.

"So does anyone know the whereabouts of the young princess?" Scarlet asked.

Shin Ha shook his head. "There is no one know. But I heard an interesting rumor, maybe you want to hear it." Said Shin Ha seriously, "I heard the time-controllers who managed to escape, went separate ways and hid. They waited for the right moment to go back to the island.

Unfortunately, there was someone who sucks out their energy causing death. At present, there were only a few left somewhere. The one who targetted time-controllers had freaking amazing tracking abilities. The target will never be able to get out of his grasp. I also heard a rumor that someone has seen this person."

"What are his description characteristics?" Hokuto couldn't let this criminal passed. He would find him and bring him to the Hakim to be punished.

"He has two disc-like blades and had white hair. This person is also seen floating in the air. There is only one that has these characteristics in this world."

Scarlet held her breath. She had a suspicion of the person's identity yet she did not dare to believe it.

"Elementalist knight of the Gale." Hokuto's answer made Scarlet's knees weak.

"I also think the same thing." Replied Shin Ha. "But ... that's impossible, right? I mean, the Elementalist knight was supposed to protect humans and maintain peace. He wouldn't hurt humans let alone suck the energy to death."

Hokuto seemed to think. "You're right. Perhaps there's someone who wanted to tarnish our reputation. It was just a baseless rumor. We still don't know the truth yet. We need to investigate it carefully."

"You are right." Shin Ha agreed right away.

"Assuming that the person was a white knight, could all of us defeat him?" Scarlet's question surprised Hokuto and Shin Ha, while Edward who heard it only sighed.

"Eight? Who?" asked Shin Ha, whose feelings began to get uncomfortable with the direction of this conversation.

"Of course eight of us. With other knights. Do you think we have a chance against him?"

"That's a difficult question. Unlike us who only have either defense or attack mastery, the white knight has both of them. Besides that, he also could control the weather like me. It's possible to win against him with all of us, but I doubt that. I'm not too sure."

"Besides, why are you so sure that the one who killed all time-controllers was the white knight?" asked Shin Ha curiously.

"Didn't you said yourself he had disc-like blades and a white hair?"

"Didn't we agree we won't believe it as it was a baseless rumor?"

"Just assuming it was true. We need to make a preparation."

Both Shin Ha and Hokuto looked at each other in confusion. The men agreed there was something serious the girl was hiding. But they didn't ask anything. They would let Scarlet spill it out whenever she was ready.

"We need to find her!" Scarlet shouted rather loudly made the men jumped out of shock.

"Who?"

"Princess Xiao Yue. We must find her first before they do."

"Why?"

"Princess Xiao Yue is the Time Master. She will help us defeat the white knight. I think I know why he wants the time-controllers' energy. He wanted to find the whereabouts of the princess. Even worse, he might want the princess' power for himself!"

"Why do you think so?" this time Hokuto was the one who couldn't hold his curiosity anymore.

This topic became darker without them realizing it.

"We might be able to move freely in frozen time from normal time-controller. But we won't be able to move when the Time Master freezes it. I think he will use the Time Master to stop us from hindering his goal."

"What goal?" Shin Ha asked increasingly confused by the topic of their conversation. Why did it become more dangerous?

"I don't know. Certainly not a good one. It could be a threat to the world. We must stop him. The first step we have to do is to find Princess Xiao Yue. Not only we can win against the white knight, but perhaps we can have a clue to save Niken."

Shin Ha and Hokuto nodded in agreement.

"Scarlet, how do you know in detail about the power of Princess Xiao Yue? And how do you know whatever the white knight' planning would be a threat to the world?"

"..." Scarlet couldn't answer it for a second. "Just my instinct."

At last, the men decided to leave it be.

"Do you feel something?" Hokuto's tense voice broke the silence of the room.

After feeling something Hokuto intended, Scarlet immediately stood up followed by Edward.

"You don't want to catch up with them?" Hokuto asked.

"No. I am only at level C Elementalist in everyone's eyes. I don't want to do things that make others suspicious. Moreover, the opponent he faces is that person."

"Even so you're not worried?"

"Isn't Scarlet heading there now? I'm sure everything will end well. How about you? You don't want to know what happened there?"

"Same with you. I never appeared in the day time. I don't want the unwanted attraction."

"Hhhh. Kazuto doesn't want it either. Alas, it was not as easy as it seems for him. Especially if the opposition is Tora."
