80 Ch. 80 'Florence's Family'

"Uncle Lionel looks tired. Did Aunt Flour ask you to bathe the horse again?" guessed Mischa.

Lionel smiled then squatted down so that Mischa would not look up too much to see him as his height was above average.

"Yeah... that's why I'm so tired."

"Poor uncle. Let me give you a massage. "Mischa circled Lionel's body and began massaging it with her tiny fingers.

Although the girl's massage was not that good, yet Lionel enjoyed it. Unfortunately, he felt something sharp from above made him shudder in fear.

He glanced up too bad for him without thinking only to gulp nervously, seeing a pair of fierce eyes.

"Hooo ... not only did you take my sister from me, but now you also want to take my daughter."

Lionel laughed nervously at that.

"Hahaha ..." Lionel immediately got up and ran around the house since Niels was chasing him.

Mischa, who saw the two adults behaved like a child, just sighed and decided to go to the kitchen to meet her grandmother.

"Grandma, what can I do for you?"

The granny smiled happily at the attention of her grandchild. "It's already done, my love. What's wrong? Are your father and Lionel acting like a child again? "

"Yes. To be honest, I can't tell which one is the adult and which one is the child anymore." pouted the girl with an adorable look.

Granny Sisca laughed at that. "Let's go there."

She brought all of the food for their dinner. She and the child were focused on plating and not care about the two adult men who were still playing around. Mischa helped her granny arranging the food on the dining table.

Kriet! Bang! Thud!

Some voices could be heard around the room as the two childish men kept chasing around while knocking the furniture around. Unknown to them, a big problem would be coming to them.

"NIELS! LIONEL!" a loud voice from Florence made the two men stop.

Dang! The big boss is here!

"Ah, our big boss has arrived." Mischa giggled, seeing the two men shrieked in fear.

Meanwhile, granny Sisca hummed calmly while continuing to arrange her cooking on the table.

"You are not ashamed of Mischa? Huh? Two grown men acting like little kids was a bad example. What do you think people will look at us if they saw this? Do you no longer want to stay here? Blah... blah...bla...bla..."

Mischa saw her aunt scolding her father and Lionel, who knelt to their knees with bowing head resignedly lectured by the angry big boss.

"Aunt Flo is so scary when she is angry." Mischa murmured flatly as if nothing happened. She ate an apple calmly with no care around her surrounding.

Not long after that, granny Sisca called her three children to start their dinner.

"Alright, kids, let's eat."

Lionel and Niels immediately got to their feet and headed toward the dining table.

Lionel returned to her and pulled her hand gently. "I'm sorry we have understood and starved. You don't want to make your mother wait for your lecture, do you."

"Lionel!"

Now it was Florence who chased after Lionel, who was laughing while running, avoiding Florence's punches.

In the end, the five of them ate together while chatting happily. The moments were so warm and happy until a very bright light emerged to the sky. The white arc of light was so bright even the source of the arc was quite far from their place.

They got up and walked to open their windows out of curiosity to see the light. At a point some distance away, there was a bright white light and headed towards the sky. After the light disappeared, Florence asked his brother.

"What was that?"

"Beats me."

"Is there perhaps an alien?" jested Mischa cheerfully.

"How could it be? There are no aliens."

"Never mind. No need to overthink. Let's eat again."

Everyone agreed with granny Sisca's invitation and returned to the dining table. Except for Lionel. He was still standing there, looking at the origin of the light with a serious face.

"Lionel?" called Florence when he realized Lionel was not moving from where he was standing.

She saw his jaws hardened while his eyes were blank as if something disturbed his mind.

***

Florence looked for Lionel in his room, but there was no one there. Where is the man? Florence walked into the family room, but only found her brother was reading a storybook for his daughter.

Seeing her niece, who seriously listened to the story, made Florence smile. The little girl has never felt the warmth of a mother. Her mother got hemorrhage while giving birth to her and died ten days later after Mischa was born.

Therefore, Florence wanted to give a mother's love as much as possible to the little one.

"What's wrong?" the question of her brother, Niels, interrupted her thoughts.

"Ah, nothing. Did you see Lionel? "

"No. Maybe he's in his usual place. "

"Ah, right."

Florence knows Lionel's favorite place. When Lionel needed time alone, he always came out of the house and sat on a tall tree branch.

Florence had never been able to understand how the man had climbed a tree and reached a high branch until now. She had seen the man come down from above without any injury.

After living together for almost ten years, she gets closer to the man yet distant at the same time. She felt she knew his all inside out, yet she felt know nothing. All she knew was that Lionel was an earth Elementalist.

However, there was something wrong with that man...

The first time they met was when she was fifteen years old, while Lionel claimed that he was twenty years old. But after ten years together, the man's face showed no signs of aging. His face still looked as handsome and young as the first time they met.

Slowly yet steady, she was the one who looked older than him even though she was five years younger.

Did everyone who has the earth elemental energy have a secret to staying young?

Or was it something else?
