153 Ch. 153 'Facing Uzzarc'

Zehell and Lionel immediately knew that Niken's indigo magic circle did not come from Niken's abilities. Instead, that girl had unwittingly been chosen by one of the spirit familiars.

They didn't know the type of the spirit, but they knew that Niken was not an ordinary individual if there was a spirit who wished to become Niken's contracted familiar spirit.

The familiar spirit was very picky about choosing its master, and usually, they chose the most gifted and most substantial individual. Therefore they couldn't fathom as to why Niken was chosen.

And now they know why. Apparently, Niken was not an ordinary Time Master, but a Great Time Master because that girl could travel to different time dimensions.

It's no wonder that many daemons or other energy-consuming creatures are attracted to Niken's scent. Currently, Niken was one of the most robust and most invincible wizards in this world, judging by the level of magic cultivation.

Unfortunately, Niken was inexperienced in fighting and could not use her stamina wisely, so the girl would often faint if she used too much of her magic.

Even though Niken was a little stronger than Kazuto or Lionel, Niken won't be able to beat both of them if Niken was serious about dueling them.

Zehell showed a thin smile, realizing that his mind was distracted.

In order to get rid of the guilt he had been ignoring all this time, he had to overcome his fear and face his father.

Zehell clenched his hands, then walked with determined steps into the cave. No one knew that he would be in a dire situation where he was about to lose his life.

Zehell has arrived at the deepest part of the cave he entered. There was no light or other creatures apart from himself and his father. He also didn't need to create light magic because he had enhanced his eyesight to see in the dark.

Zehell stopped right in front of his father, who was still meditating on the ice rock while cold steam enveloped his father's body.

Uzzarc Zeed, one of the strongest survivors of the pureblood wizard second to Zephyr, had the ambition to defeat the young mix-blood wizard one day. He was jealous as a younger, that too a mix-blood was more potent than him and were chosen to become a captain of Ace force. Hence, his desire to challenge the young mix-blood was tremendous to the point that he would never dissolve before defeating Zephyr.

Zehell couldn't help but get nervous in front of his father. Since childhood, he often saw his father hunting magical beasts and killing them cruelly. Not to mention that his father would beat up his three children if they didn't obey his orders.

Since his father secluded himself a hundred years ago, Zehell had rarely seen his father. Nevertheless, he still felt even more dreadful about feeling an aura of cultivation energy that was often more dense and domineering than what he remembered.

"Zehell, what are you doing here?"

His father's chilly voice made his blood run cold. Instantly his guts shrank, and he became a coward again.

Calm down, Zehell. If you stop now, then everything will return to zero. Zehell tried to convince himself. He closed his eyes to remember what he saw in the hidden room in their mansion basement.

As soon as he remembered what he had seen, his courage returned to replace his cowardice. He opened his eyes then began to speak carefully while amplifying the aura of defense just in case his father struck him with his magical atmosphere.

"Father, I want to restore the mermaid lake's glory."

"What do you mean?"

"I found a way to make the evil mermaids return to normal, so we can bring them back and make this place what it used to be."

"You can try it, but I suggest doing nothing. I don't know what method you've found, but they won't possibly come back to how they used to be."

"Why are you so sure?"

"Because I poisoned them with my blood."

Zehell gritted his teeth, hearing this. It was true! His father was the main mastermind behind the drastic transformation of the mermaid kingdom!

For a moment, Zehell neither spoke nor reacted. He was too angry, too embarrassed to face his disciple and others. He couldn't even describe how he felt right now when he heard his father's voice that didn't sound guilty.

On the other hand, Uzzarc said it as if the things he did in the past were perfectly natural.

"Then, you can definitely return them back, right?"

For the first time since Zehell arrived inside this cave, Uzzarc opened his eyes to reveal a pair of red eyes that glowed like a red moon.

Zehell ventured to hang on and didn't back down. He had already reached this stage and had no intention of retreating now.

"Why should I return them? Nothing in it for me. You better go back, you disturb my concentration of finding another wizard in this world."

"I'm not leaving until you agree to free the mermaid in the basement."

"What are you talking about? There are no mermaids in our place."

"Are you sure? Then what did I see earlier? I'm sure there were two mermaids chained in the basement and a pool of some, no. Dozens of mermaid incubators."

BOOM!!

Suddenly Uzzarc's magic aura attacked Zehell without warning, causing Zehell cough up blood.

What a powerful aura! Although their magic cultivation level range is only two phases apart, the aura pressure ratio is like heaven and earth.

"How did you get into the basement? Only I can open the basement door."

Zehell wiped his bleeding mouth with one hand while giving his father a sneer.

"I will tell you if you are willing to free the mermaids and the incubator."

"You can take them all. After all, the two mermaids were useless. If you want, you could also take all the incubators and kill them outright. You know the procedure. Once the mermaid's fetuses are repealed and not get the infusion properly, they will die."

Zehell grith his teeth, forgetting this crucial fact.

"Then there's only one option. I will fight you."

A lopsided smile crossed Uzzarc's face then once again attacked Zehell with his aura once again. Only this time, Zehell was ready and activated the defense array of his indigo magic circle.

The magic circle appears above his head, then reformed, creating flower petals to shade his body.

"Well, well, well. Who would have known one of my sons had more than one magic circle? I'm going to enjoy this."

Zehell instantly prepared to cast another defensive magic and an attack spell when he saw his father descending from the ice rock. Facing that man's magic aura alone was overwhelming, especially if that man activated his magic circle.

Ugh! He hoped, at least he didn't die here.
