196 Ch. 196 'Scary Dream'

After weighing the various options, Niken decided to approach the battle site.

As she dashed closer, she could see a figure of someone hovering above the sky. To be more precise, a black-haired young man flying around to dodge some attacks from the ground. Strange enough, that young man had a flow of magic all over his body.

Surprisingly, there was no shroud of light covering the young man's body, so Niken could see the young man's figure and face. Her chest was pounding wildly as she felt familiar with that figure.

Because the distance between them was quite far, Niken could not clearly see the young man's face. Also, the young man continued to fly to avoid the enemy's attacks. At the same time, he also exerted the power of his fire.

Fire? That youth was a fire Elementalist! But why is there magic in his body? How could that young man fly as if he had two wings on his back if his primary energy' foundation was the fire?

Niken was curious, and her heartbeat got louder as she got closer to see the young man's face clearly.

Just as Niken almost managed to see the young man's face, the young man created a tornado with both hands, making Niken flinched in her place.

An Elementalist capable of controlling more than one element? How is it possible?

Niken didn't have time to find the answer as the tornado hit her, causing her to move away from her position.

Fortunately, Niken managed to use her magic array so that her body didn't hover too far and only shifted a few treads. As the tornado's spinning subsided, Niken felt a familiar energy aura.

Niken could see a pack of black wolves lasting to attack the young man who was hovering. Miraculously, the black wolf was able to jump high until it reached the young man's position's height.

An indigo-colored magic circle appeared in midair as their stepping stone to make the wolves jump higher.

Niken's heart was beating faster and faster, and her heart was filled with great anxiety.

There was no mistaking it, the owner of these black wolves was Kazuto! It's just that isn't Kazuto's magic circle still a blue stage? Since when did Kazuto have an indigo magic circle?

And again, why did Kazuto attack that young man? Niken had not clearly seen the face of the black-haired man who was still hovering above. Still, she was very familiar with the youth's aura of elemental energy.

Niken accelerated her pace and ran to find Kazuto's figure. She wanted to prevent him from doing something that would make her hate him.

She could forgive Kazuto if he wronged her or tricked her into getting his intimacy session with her. But Niken will never be able to forgive that man if Kazuto injures the person she really cherishes.

This was the first time she saw Kazuto's and the black wolf's expressions look so terrifying it made her body shudder in horror.

It was clear that Kazuto's current gaze was filled with an absolute hatred towards the floating man. Why? Why did Kazuto hate that young man?

Niken was about to summon Kazuto to stop all attacks of any kind against the person she loved. But Kazuto had pulled out his sword and ordered his long, sharp black blade by magic to shoot towards its target, leaving Niken out of breath.

Niken looked at the sword's aim, and tears came out of the corners of her eyes when she saw the black sword pierced the target's body. The black-haired man coughed blood, and his body fell down at high speed.

"BROTHER!!"

A pair of eyelids opened immediately upon hearing the scream of an ear-shattering girl.

These eyes' owners didn't belong to Niken nor Kazuto, but Richard, who had just had a strange dream.

He dreamed he could control more than one element, and he fought Kazuto to death. He couldn't remember the reason why they were fighting, but he did remember that in his dream, he had a huge desire to kill Kazuto.

How strange, why did he want to kill the black knight? And how could he so sure he capable of killing the man?

Why on earth did he have this kind of dream in the first place?

He might dislike Kazuto for snatching his only sister from him, but that doesn't mean he hated him to the point, making him want to kill him.

Richard stroked his forehead and was amazed when he felt it wet with water. Is he sweating?

Richard held his chest only to feel his abnormal beating heart as if he had just experienced a life-and-death situation.

What he saw was just a dream, but why did it feel so real? The worst part is he felt sure he could see his sister there—what a strange dream.

Richard decided to wash his face with cold water to cool off.

Like Richard, who just woke up from a nightmare, Niken also woke up with the same panic-pounding heart. A cold sweat came out, soaking her forehead. At once, her mind immediately drifted worrying about her brother.

"Niken, what's wrong?"

Unconsciously, Niken shifted away as Kazuto's hand was about to rub her head. Niken's actions made Kazuto confused, and Niken herself felt guilty.

She didn't understand why she should be afraid of Kazuto when that man wouldn't hurt her. What she saw was only a dream, and she really wished she was just dreaming. But she couldn't help feeling uneasy about this man.

Especially seeing Kazuto, who had the heart to kill her brother, Niken wasn't sure if she could allow herself to be touched again by her lover.

"Niken? What's wrong?"

"What happened to me?"

"You suddenly fainted when you returned with Aqua. You must be hungry, I will bring food for you."

Kazuto didn't feel offended or annoyed by the cold treatment of her inamorata. He did feel confused and surprised by the change in Niken's attitude, but did not mind it.

Perhaps, Niken was too tired from entering someone else's astral dimension. Niken had exhausted her energy to manipulate some of Flynn's memories, so she wasn't in a perfect mood. Thought Kazuto.
