366 It Was Destiny

Wang Yao remembered clearly that he had taught Su Xiaoxue contents of scripture. The contents were from Natural Classics. Wang Yao taught her because she was in pain. Wang Yao had studied Natural Classics for some time. He knew the book could calm people. So he had read it to Su Xiaoxue. He didn't plan it, and didn't expect Su Xiaoxue could use the content to trigger any internal power.

It was wonderful!

"Dr. Wang, is my daughter okay?" Song Ruiping was very worried about her daughter. She didn't want anything to go wrong.

"She's fine. Actually she's better than fine. The thing inside her body will have a positive impact on her health," said Wang Yao.

"What is it?" asked Su Xiaoxue curiously.

"Your internal power. Neixi," said Wang Yao.

"Neixi?!" Both Su Xiaoxue and Song Ruiping were surprised to hear it.

"What is neixi?" asked Song Ruiping.

"Haha, you can think of it like the energy inside your body as described in the Kung Fu novels," said Wang Yao with a smile.

"So this internal power could actually help?" asked Su Xiaoxue.

"Of course, you just don't see it often in daily life," said Wang Yao.

"What can I use it for?" asked Su Xiaoxue.

"To improve your strength and enhance your health," said Wang Yao after thinking for a moment.

Actually, the neixi inside Su Xiaoxue's body was very similar to the Qi inside Wang Yao's body. It was very pure and powerful, and it was within the scope of Taoism. The internal power had a lot of benefits. The only thing was that Su Xiaoxue's internal power, or Qi energy, was still very weak. Even though she could control and induce it, the Qi energy could only move around and had limited effect.

"Does it have any side effects?" asked Song Ruiping.

"No. In fact, a lot of people could only dream of having it," said Wang Yao with a smile.

"That's good," said Song Ruiping.

After Su Xiaoxue had a break, Wang Yao started the second treatment session. This time, he used the other arm.

He conducted the same treatment, but focused more on the control of his Qi.

After he had completed the treatment, he allowed Su Xiaoxue to have a break. He then examined her. Wang Yao found that the treatment sessions were effective. He just needed to control his Qi well enough to avoid harming her body, which had been damaged by heat poison. Wang Yao's Qi was so pure that it could target the meridians where the heat poison accumulated. He could fix the meridians without any further damage.

It took Wang Yao the whole morning to complete the treatment sessions. By the time he had finished, it was 1 pm.

"Let's call it a day," said Wang Yao.

"Okay, thank you," said Su Xiaoxue.

"Make sure you have enough rest," said Wang Yao.

As Wang Yao was about to leave, he found a Taoism scripture sitting next to Su Xiaoxue's bed.

It was Nan Hua Ching.

Su Xiaoxue knew Wang Yao noticed the book. She turned her head to look.

"It's a nice book," said Wang Yao.

"Yes, I like it," said Su Xiaoxue. "Dr. Wang, lunch is ready, would you like to stay?"

"No, thanks. I think I should go," said Wang Yao with a smile.

Having lunch in a house like this made Wang Yao feel awkward.

"Okay," said Su Xiaoxue.

Song Ruiping walked Wang Yao to the door.

"Dr. Wang, did you walk here?" asked Song Ruiping.

"Yes," said Wang Yao.

"I will arrange someone to drive you back," said Song Ruiping.

"Don't worry about it. I prefer walking," said Wang Yao.

Actually, the cottage where Wang Yao stayed was not far from Su Xiaoxue's house. It was about 20 minutes walk, if Wang Yao walked fast. It was inconvenient to drive such a short distance.

By the time he had returned to the cottage, he found Chen Ying had prepared lunch.

"Would you like to have lunch now?" asked Chen Ying.

"Okay, have you had lunch yet?" asked Wang Yao.

"Not yet," said Chen Ying.

"We can eat together," said Wang Yao.

They had a chat while eating.

"I will stay at my aunt's place for dinner tonight," said Wang Yao.

"Okay," said Chen Ying.

"Are you available in the afternoon?" asked Wang Yao.

"Yes," said Chen Ying.

"Can you go shopping with me?" asked Wang Yao.

"Okay," said Chen Ying.

What?

Wang Yao stood up, then sat down again.

"Was there something wrong when you were practicing Kung Fu?" asked Wang Yao.

"How do you know?" asked Chen Ying with surprise.

She started to practice Kung Fu when she was a little girl. Although she looked like a harmless young girl, she was a Kung Fu master. She had been practicing Kung Fu for over 20 years. However, she had a problem when doing breathing exercises the other day. As it was just a small problem, she didn't take it seriously.

"I just noticed your breathing was not quite right today," said Wang Yao.

A person who had practiced Kung Fu for a long time had a unique rhythm when he or she was breathing. Wang Yao found mild tremor in Chen Ying's breathing.

"Is it painful here?" Wang Yao pointed at Chen Ying's chest.

"Yes, a little bit," said Chen Ying.

"Let me take a look." Wang Yao sat down to check her pulse.

"Nothing serious," said Wang Yao.

Wang Yao could fix Chen Ying's problem in a short period of time, but he would have to touch her body. The area he had to touch was quite private, so he hesitated.

"What's going on?" asked Chen Ying.

"Nothing, can you turn around?" Wang Yao came up with an alternative way.

He started to gently massage Chen Ying's back. Although it was autumn, Chen Ying didn't wear thick clothes. Wang Yao could feel her soft skin though her clothes. Although Chen Ying was a Kung Fu master, she was still a young woman.

Her face suddenly turned red. Wang Yao couldn't see it because she didn't face him.

Wang Yao stimulated Chen Ying's meridians to facilitate the flow of Qi.

Crack!

Without the noise, Chen Ying could obviously feel something was unblocked inside her. Her breathing was smoother.

"How do you feel?" asked Wang Yao.

"My breathing is better." Chen Ying's face was still slightly red, but Wang Yao didn't notice without taking a close look.

"Good," said Wang Yao.

"I need to go back to my room. I'll find you later," said Chen Ying.

"Okay," said Wang Yao.

Chen Ying rushed back to her room. Her heart was beating violently.

Breathe! Breathe! After taking a few deep breaths, Chen Ying calmed down. What is going on with me?

Wang Yao took a nap in his room. He went out with Chen Ying at around 1 pm. They went to a shopping center nearby to buy some presents for Wang Yao's aunt.

Wang Yao then decided to go to some famous spots in Beijing. He went to a few famous travelling attractions in Beijing last time. However, he hadn't been to any of the well-known lanes, such as the cultural lane. Beijing had a history of thousands of years. There were a lot of places worth visiting.

"Where would you like to go?" asked Chen Ying.

"Is there a Taoist temple here?" asked Wang Yao.

"Taoist temple?" Chen Ying was a bit surprised to hear it.

She had a good thinking for a while.

"I think so. There are a few around here. The most well-known one is White Cloud Temple," said Chen Ying.

"Can you take me there?" asked Wang Yao.

"Yes, of course," said Chen Ying.

She then drove Wang Yao to White Cloud Temple. It was said that the temple was initially built in Tang Dynasty. If it was true, the temple had a long history. White Cloud Temple was located in a busy area, close to the west train station of Beijing.

"Here it is," said Chen Ying.

The temple was in front of them. It looked ancient.

They bought two tickets, and went inside.

It was not a holiday, so there were not many visitors.

Wang Yao walked around and only saw a few Taoist priests wearing Taoist uniform. He was a bit disappointed.

He came here because he wanted to see and hear something special in this temple. He had been reading Taoist scriptures on Nanshan Hill for a long time. He expected to get some benefit by visiting a Taoist temple. However, this temple was just an ancient building. It had lost its soul.

"Let's go," said Wang Yao.

He just walked around, didn't stay for long.

He had lost interest in visiting other Taoist temples. He didn't think the other ones would be any different.

"What do you do in a Taoist temple?" asked Chen Ying.

"I want to stir up some emotions, but I didn't find anything," said Wang Yao.

"Emotions? Maybe we should go to a Buddhist temple. There were quite a few famous Buddhist temples in Beijing, and there were much more people there," said Chen Ying.

"No, don't worry about it. I've seen this one, I don't think the other temples will be much different," said Wang Yao.

Then they just walked around randomly in the afternoon. When it was around 6 pm, Wang Yao went to his aunt's place. His aunt and her family were happy to see him.

His cousin seemed to have forgotten about the boy she was in love with. She looked like she was in a good mood.

"How long are you going to stay in Beijing this time?" asked Zhang Xiufang.

"About a week," said Wang Yao.

"Stay with us. I'll cook something nice for you everyday," said Zhang Xiufang.

"No, thanks. I've got somewhere to stay. Don't worry about me. You and uncle need to take care of yourselves." Wang Yao found his aunt and her husband seemed to have lost some weight, but both of them were in good spirits.

"You cousin is going to graduate from high school. I'm considering moving," said Zhang Xiufang.

"Moving? Now? In Beijing?" asked Wang Yao.

What was the most famous thing of Beijing? Not Peking ducks, not the Forbidden Palace, and not the Great Wall. It was the property price.

The property price in Beijing was ridiculously high.

"Yes, we've picked a place already," said Zhang Xiufang.

"Let me know if you need money," said Wang Yao.

Since they planned to move, Wang Yao, as a family member, should provide support within his ability. He was not a billionaire, but lending his aunt 10 million yuan was not a huge issue for him. In addition, Wang Yao still didn't take money seriously.

"Okay, thanks," said Zhang Xiufang.

His aunt just said okay to be polite. Actually she wouldn't ask Wang Yao for money unless she was desperate.

Wang Yao took a look at his aunt and her husband after dinner. Both of them were fine, but they seemed to be very tired.

"Both of you aren't looking too well. You need to have enough rest, don't work too hard," said Wang Yao.

"I know," said Zhang Xiufang with a smile.

She and her husband were having a full time, especially her. She had settled into her new role and her wage had doubled. Her workload was not very heavy, so she wanted to work as long as possible. Living in Beijing was more stressful than living in other places after all.

The unit they lived in at the moment was just a bit over 70 square meters. The cost of this unit could afford a house with ocean view in Haiqu.

Wang Yao had a chat with his aunt's family after dinner before leaving. By the time he had arrived at the cottage, it was over 9 pm.

He sat in the courtyard and looked at the sky of Beijing as usual.

"It is going to rain tomorrow," murmured Wang Yao.
