Chapter 56

“Blossoming Dance!”

With the Flying Rainbow Style nullified, Leng Qianxue bit her lip and turned her sword-light around, having executed yet another special technique. In an instant, flashes of lights shot out in all directions. The Divine Snow Prison Sword scattered thousands of blinding afterimages that seemed like agile spirits that shot towards Chu Chen.

If the Flying Rainbow Style had been a sword technique that focused on condensing its power, then Blossoming Dance had been one that focused on nimbleness. With a strike from the sword-light, thousands of afterimages had all been illusions that carried none of the attack power of an actual sword afterimage. The true killing blow had been the one sword-light hidden within the thousands of illusory afterimages. It had been a type of technique that meddled with the opponent’s mind.

“This technique is quite good. However, your killing intent is too strong. I can tell that you have something hidden behind these afterimages. Fail! If you can’t hide the killing blow properly, then it’s useless! Only when you can let your opponent feel that these thousands of afterimages are your final killing blow and let their guard down will you be able to use your hidden sword-light to take them by surprise!”

With another grunt and unimpressed expression, Chu Chen had not used any weapons nor special techniques. Each time Leng Qianxue drew her sword, he would have used his monstrous spiritual consciousness at the level of a grandmaster to have identified the weakness in those techniques. After that he would have flicked his finger and casually nullified her sword technique.

Leng Qianxue had been more and more surprised. At the same time, she had been sure of her own speculations.

‘This teenager is really a hidden senior expert! Otherwise, he won’t be able to have such a horrifying perception!’

After having gone through the entire set of the famous Six Flying Sword Styles of the Secret Sky Sect, Leng Qianxue had not even managed to touch the corner of Chu Chen’s robes. He would have used a single flick to have nullified her sword techniques every single time. That immediately caused her to have respected him greatly.

Having sheathed her sword, Leng Qianxue immediately prostrated herself. “Great Senior, please accept this humble greeting from me, Leng Qianxue!”

This time, it was Chu Chen’s turn to have been dumbfounded.

“Great Senior, please take me in as your disciple!” Leng Qianxue prostrated herself on the ground. She was serious, looking expectantly at Chu Chen. That made him feel perplexed.

‘What a minute…what the heck is going on?’

Chu Chen had gotten confused. This arrogant girl that had been swinging her sword at him right after she woke up, yet after all that she prostrated herself and wanted to make him her teacher?! The thought process had been too chaotic that it caught him totally off guard.

“What great senior are you talking about? Are there some great seniors here?” Chu Chen asked in a confused manner.

“I’m referring to you, Great Senior.” Her beautiful eyes smiled gently and her charms immediately went up to another level. This girl had always steeled her face. With that smile, it immediately seemed as though spring had come and flowers blossomed. It vaguely gave off a seductive flair, causing Chu Chen’s heart to have wavered.

“Great Senior, please take me as your disciple. I will surely serve you with all my heart.” Having seen Chu Chen in a daze, Leng Qianxue felt nervous. In her mind, she had still thought of Chu Chen’s dazzling performance earlier.

With the cultivation level below the Spiritual Droplets Stage, he had managed to nullify her sword techniques executed with her strength at the sixth level of Spiritual Droplets Stage. Just how strong would that great senior have been? If she learned just a little bit from him, it would have benefited her greatly!

Leng Qianxue had been fiercely competitive since young and had been fanatical in her cultivation. She had truly been a cultivation maniac. With her lofty status as the daughter of Secret Sky Sect’s master, she had been spoiled and had been unable to have found any good masters to have guided her because her father had been the best master.

However, her father had been the master of the sect after all and could not have placed all his attention on his daughter, thus having very limited time to have taught her. At the same time, her arrogance caused her to look down on all those elders that had been weaker than her father. Therefore, she would have had to cultivate having relied solely on her own terrifying aptitude most of the time.

All these while, she had hoped to meet a hidden expert that had at least been as strong as her father and also had a lot of time to teach her. However, these experts were not cabbages that could have been found just anywhere.

Right then she saw that Chu Chen had been experienced yet appeared young. Moreover, he gave almost identical advice to her father when nullifying her moves! That had immediately goten her excited and threw away all thoughts of etiquette, having wanted him to be her master.

Chu Chen felt troubled. ‘What’s wrong with her? Taking in a disciple? I’m just an external disciple that had yet to condense a spiritual droplet and in need of advice from a master. You’re asking me to take in a disciple at a time like this? One whose cultivation stage is much higher than mine? Wouldn’t that be a joke of the century?!’

“Please get up. I’m not some great senior. You’ve got the wrong person.” Chu Chen waved his hand and shrugged helplessly.

“Great Senior!” Having seen that reaction, Leng Qianxue could not have helped but felt anxious. “Is it because I’m dull and lacking in talent? I can guarantee that I’ll do everything you ask to the best of my ability. I’ll never embarrass you!” She thought that Chu Chen had been unwilling to accept disciples because of his indifferent attitude and preference for peace and quiet.

“I’m really not a great senior!” Chu Chen frowned. ‘This girl is just too stubborn. Not only is she haughty, but also stubborn. So unreasonable! Why can’t she be cute and docile like Little Junior Sister?”

“Great Senior—” Seeing his reaction, Leng Qianxue immediately looked up and gave him the puppy eyes with her seductive eyes, having appeared pitiable and appealing to his sympathy. Despite her arrogance in front of others, she had been a natural at simpering. Back in Secret Sky Sect, whenever her father rejected her requests, she would have put up with such a pitiable look and usually achieved great results.

She had been born with unrivaled beauty. Even when she had been cold, she would have vaguely let out her charms. With her having been in a simpering mode, her charms grew even stronger. Upon seeing that, Chu Chen felt his mouth go dry and a fire started subconsciously within his body.

“I’m really not a great senior.” Chu Chen turned around and took a few deep breaths to calm his emotions. “I’m Chu Chen, an external disciple of the Crystal Spring Sect. I’ve barely entered the sect for three years. If you don’t believe me, you can go ask them.”

Leng Qianxue had been stunned. For some reasons, her heart sank as an indescribable feeling welled up inside her.

‘Is he telling the truth? How is that possible!? How can an external disciple that just entered the sect have such terrifying perception?’

“Great Senior…please don’t toy with me. I’m sincere in finding a master. Please, Great Senior…” Leng Qianxue paused slightly but still thought of this person before her to be a great senior with great cultivation level. However, the confidence in her voice was not as strong as before.

“How many times do I have to tell you for you to understand?!”

Chu Chen had really been frustrated by this stubborn woman. “I’m not some great senior! Just look at me. Which part of me looks like a great senior?”

Leng Qianxue stood up. Her face suddenly took on an imperceptible hint of awkwardness.

“You’re Chu Chen, and not a great senior?”

“Exactly!” Chu Chen nodded subconsciously, thinking that this stubborn woman had finally had an epiphany.

“You’re an external disciple of the Crystal Spring Sect?”

“Yes!”

“You’ve just joined the sect for three years?”

“Yes!”

“Imbecile! Die!”

Leng Qianxue’s expression changed drastically as she thought of how she prostrated herself before a mere external disciple and had immediately been filled with embarrassment, rage, and shock.
