Chapter 189 - Repaying His Love,

On the deck of the luxurious yacht, Li Juan stood immersed in the panoramic view of lush blue ocean.

The briny sea breeze played with the loose hair strands as she remained lost in the low wavy motions of the yacht.

It felt calming and gentle like a lullaby,

Somehow all of her memories with Lee Tae Yang was associated with oceans. 

It almost felt like she went back to the days in S city which she spent with her mother, her only grievance was that she couldn't remember anything related to her time with Lee Tae Yang.

Lee Tae Yang who walked out from the cabin, leaned on the door way leading to the deck, watching the woman who appeared beautiful than the deep blue ocean.

In his eyes, nothing in this earth could compare the beauty she holds....

He quietly moved towards her and slipped his large hand over her slender waist.

Li Juan who lost in thoughts, did not flinch at his sudden touch. Within these short time spent together, she was familiarized with Lee Tae Yang's ways for showing affection.

Every time she is in his arms, it gave her a sense of security and belonging.

"Tired?" He mumbled near her ear,

They left Jing city early in the morning and it took another two hour journey from Xi city to East sea islands.

"It's feels like I've been here," She whimpered and leaned on to his muscular chest,

"You have been here...last year's new year, we spent it together," He gently rested his head on her shoulder and cooed, "Though you were lying unconscious due to the shock and this injury,"

He traced the phoenix tattoo with his calloused finger tips. Even though the scar was invisible under the tattoo, he could still feel the roughness of newly healed skin.

"I am sorry that I've hurt you," He tightened his arms over her slim waist, 

Li Juan smiled and tenderly kept her hand on the side of his chin as if she is consoling him.

"Why are you always apologizing? To be honest, apart from having occasional flashbacks of drowning in water, I don't remember anything else,"

She re-positioned herself to  face him, "All I know that you mean no harm to me," 

She smiles and hugged him tighter,

Lee Tae Yang closed his eyes and kissed the crown of her head,

"Huh...I want to ask, did we get the tattoos together?" She raised her head from his chest and asked, "We have couple tattoos,"

"Well, I was there when you got the tattoo. Though the meaning of your tattoos and mine are somewhat complementing. Our tattoos holds different meanings for each one of us,"

"My tattoos were done to remind me about the promises that I've given to you.  A ship anchor and wheel symbolize a constant change of direction in life and hope for stability," He explained it to Li Juan,

"It suggests that the person with the tattoo is in control but is still searching for where they would like to drop and settle down. Your compass tattoo symbolized the your search for your queen and me also your happiness," He gave her a quick peck on her neck, "And you found it,"

"But the dragon and phoenix?" Li Juan pointed out, "Aren't they are considered as a heavenly couple. Did you it on purpose?"

"What do you think?"

"It must be fate," She tightened her arms and buried her face on his chest, 

Lee Tae Yang smiled and stroked her thick hair, 

He was still not able to believe that out of all the men in the world, he was the one who was blessed enough to become Li Juan's man whom she loved and trusted.

After half an hour, their yacht docked near a beach house which apparently looked like a private resort.

There were a bunch of people waiting for them, with their faces filled with happiness.

Li Juan glanced at the crowd and Lee Tae Yang with an air of surprise.

"They are our neighbors,"

Li Juan bowed and greeted them with a smile,

"Jie, you have become more pretty," A cheerful looking girl grabbed Li Juan's arms and said in an elated voice,

"Nana," Lee Tae Yang called the girl and bobbed his head with a faint smile, "She doesn't remember you,"

"Huh?" The girl looked Li Juan with a confused face, "You don't remember me?"

"Li Juan, this is Xu Nana, both of you become really close when you visited last time and they are her parents,"

"Welcome back, Miss Li," Aunt Hu, Xu Nana's mother smiled and led her to the cottage.

Li Juan glanced around with heart warming feeling. The cottage built which is built in a rustic style had the typical features of an beach house, which is surrounded by orchards.

It was a one storey building with perfectly designed two bedrooms, a living room plus dining area and kitchen.

The vacation home was not grand, but the minimalistic and cosy feeling of the house gave a warm and welcoming vibe.

The only sound heard in the area was the bird's chirpings and rustlings of the leaves. Upon first sight, anyone can identify that this vacation home is designed to give the guests a wonderful holiday.

"We have already prepared everything you asked," Aunt Hu informed Lee Tae Yang, "Take rest and we will come later,"

"Mom, are we leaving? I didn't get to say anything to Jie," Xu Nana said in a sulky voice,

"Nana, they are travelling from the morning, they must be tired. Miss Li, will be here for few days," Her mother reminded, 

"Are you going to stay here?" The girl asked Li Juan who appeared baffled with all of their actions. It was similar to what she felt when she visited her father's family after her accident.

Everyone was familiar with her, but she was the only one who don't have any memories spending time with them.

"Yes, we will be here for few days," Li Juan assured her with a smile, 

"Ah then I will come later, Jie and gege, take rest," Xu Nana told them and decided to leave the couple alone,

As their neighbors left the cottage premises,

"So do you care to explain?" Li Juan crossed her arms over the chest and narrowed her eyes in query.

"Happy new year, my love," Lee Tae Yang grinned and handed over her a key, "New year gift,"

Upon hearing his words Li Juan's eyes widened in shock. "New year gift? This is not a private resort?"

"Huh, private resort? Your boyfriend wholeheartedly worked to build your dream home for you,"

Li Juan covered her mouth in horror, "No wonder!!! It fits the concept of her dream house,"

Lee Tae Yang let out a chuckle as he watched the girl who was almost freaking out under the facade of her poker face.

He grabbed her shoulders and lowered his gaze at her eye level,

"Why you don't like it?"

"How...when did you build it?" Her words stuttered as she spoke,

" How means...your boyfriend runs a corporation which are pioneers in construction field and if you ask me when did i built? Almost three years ago..when you were done with your post graduation," He said casually and tapped her nose,

"If you don't like the interior, we can re design it," He suggested,

"Noooo.... I like it...I like it very much," Li Juan agreed to him and tip-toed to press a kiss on his cheeks, "Thank you so much, Yangyang,"

"Come, I want to show you something," Lee Tae Yang led her to a room which opens to the orchard.

It was a small room. Apart from the bed, there was only a bedside table as furniture in the room.

But the first thing that catches the eyes of the visitor was the walls which are filled with books.

The two walls of the room were decorated with bookshelves designed as a tree and its branches.

There was a window adorned with white curtains which are open to a garden. Whenever a breeze passes, the white curtains flowed beautifully. There was a simple sitting space near the window. The flower-filled garden and the window held breathtakingly beautiful scenery like the paintings.

The air and evening sun rays coming through the room felt fresh and lit up the room. On the other side of the room, there was a closet and a bathroom. The shelves in closet was filled with different types of women clothing including inner wears and sandals.The dresses hung in the shelves were beautiful bright Boho style clothes which gave perfect vacation vibes.

The whole design of the room seems to be created for a diehard reader.

It was something which is straight out of  her dreams,

Li Juan looked at the man who stood silently beside her with a pair of moist eyes,

How much did Lee Tae Yang loved her to build a house and wait for her to remember him?

"You did everything for me and  what if...what would have happened if I failed to remember you? What would've -" Her voice sounded melancholic,

"I was sure that you will remember me," Lee Tae Yang stated with a warm smile, "You always asked me to remind you in case you forgets me,"

"Yangyang, I almost got married to someone else," Li Juan reminded him as a matter of fact. She accepted Tang Wei Sheng's proposal and they were about to move in together. What would have happened to Lee Tae Yang if she chose someone else over him. Even thinking about such a hypothetical situation suffocated her,

"I would have waited for you until-" Even before Lee Tae Yang could say something Li Juan throw her arms over his shoulders and hugged him tighter,

Lee Tae Yang's obsidian eyes sparkled like diamonds as he held Li Juan in his arms,

She had no words to express the overwhelming feeling bubbling in her heart,

It was always her who remained in the receiving end.

How is she going to repay his love?
