Chapter 266 - I, Jiang He, Never Lose Out!

After struggling internally for a while, Wang Siyu clenched her teeth and took off her clothes, then strode out on her white feet while only wearing her underwear and entered the swimming pool.

Jiang He stared at her without averting his gaze, and could not help praising, “Nice body.”

There was no lie at all in his praise.

Before this, Wang Siyu’s figure was lacking.

Her skin was fair and her legs were long, not to mention her hourglass figure. Nevertheless, she was lacking in a portion where she should protrude, and that was here only flaw.

Now, she blushed even harder at Jiang He’s praise, and murmured with a voice as soft as a mosquito’s hum, “Stop looking, Jiang He!”

Naturally, Jiang He could not stop looking.

Handing the Blazing Tomato to Wang Siyu, he said, “Hurry up and eat it. I’ll stand guard right beside you.”

Taking the Blazing Tomato, Wang Siyu took a deep breath, repressing her many complex thoughts as she opened her red lips, and took a soft bite.

Right then, she seemed to feel a fire burning up in her mouth.

“Hurry up and eat!” Jiang He barked softly.

Was she still minding maiden manners even in this situation?

If she started to awaken without finishing the entire tomato, the extent of awakening might not be on par.

Hence, Wang Siyu quietly munched away, quickly finishing the entire Blazing Tomato.

Her face dropped in the next instant as her fair skin began to turn red.

It was a blast from the past for Jiang He, happening right before his eyes…

“Ah…”

“It burns…it’s so hot…”

Wang Siyu clutched at her belly as she fell into the swimming pool. Crimson flames arose over his body, and the water of the entire pool boiled in an instant.

Jiang He reached out his hand, then levitated all the water in the pool with a grabbing motion and tossed it out of the window. Then, he hurried up to Wang Siyu to check on her and found that her underwear had been reduced to ashes by the flames.

She was already unconscious and looked like she was in pain.

Jiang He walked up and infused a mild vein of mana into Wang Siyu’s body to alleviate her pain.

Soon after, she became accustomed to the energy and the look of agony on her face disappeared, replaced by calmness instead.

The flames over her body were also all withdrawn within, but her skin was still a little red.

Jiang He put his hand on her… and could feel that she was very hot, and was at least seventy or eighty degrees.

Be that as it may, while a normal person would have already kicked the bucket at such temperatures, Wang Siyu was merely in her awakening phase after eating the Blazing Tomato and that temperature was normal.

Breathing a sigh of relief, Jiang He smiled. ‘Looks like the awakening is a success… but if Zhou Xiaolian is to be a precedent, she would only wake up after over an hour.’

He did some thinking.

Leaving a lady like Wang Siyu on the stiff, hard tiles of the swimming pool was not ideal, which was why Jiang He picked her up and caried her to his bedroom and placed her on his big, soft bed.

He stayed bedside, reaching out to feel her body heat every ten minutes.

After around an hour, Wang Siyu’s body slowly returned to normal. The redness from her elevated body temperature also slowly faded and soon she slowly opened her eyes.

Her gaze looked a little lost just then, just like Zhou Xiaolan’s when she woke up.

Jiang He could imagine that the burning heat from the awakening must have struck the brain, causing such a reaction.

It could be considered a side effect from eating the Blazing Tomato.

“You’re awake?”

“How does it feel?” Jiang He asked with concern.

Wang Siyu rubbed her temples and appeared a little lost, but soon recovered after an entire minute. Feeling out the energy around her body, she exclaimed in delight, “Did I really awaken, Jiang He?”

“Yeah.”

Muah!

Jubilant, Wang Siyu lunged at Jiang He and kissed him.

As a matter of fact, she just regained consciousness and had not put on her clothes yet.

All at once, Jiang He was displeased and barked angrily, “A-Are you trying to take advantage of me?”

He lunged back at her.

No way.

He must get something in return. Was he even Jiang He if he did not?

Did you assume that you’ve won just by kissing me?

Sorry, you might have won a little there, but, I, Jiang He…

Never!

Lose!

Out!

Naturally, everything that happened next could not be described.

***

Around an hour later, Jiang He went downstairs first and instructed, “Sora, prepare dinner. We’ll start eating when Miss Wang is done bathing.”

It was already nighttime.

Soon, Sora served dinner, while Wang Siyu came downstairs as well, having just finished her bath.

Her hair was still a little damp, and she complained coquettishly, “Where’s your hairdryer, Jiang He? I searched everywhere but couldn’t find it…”

“Hairdryer?”

Jiang He could not help laughing. “Does a fire-type Awakened need a hairdryer?”

Wang Siyu realized that then and released a fraction of her power to dry her hair, while Jiang He explained beside her, “I’ve always thought that all superpowers exist to improve one’s quality of life. For example, fire-type powers could blow-dry hair and clothes, even grill food, cook and light up the room.”

“Likewise, earth-type powers could be used for construction and farming…water-types are even more useful since they are able to water the fields, and those stronger can conjure artificial rain within a small area.”

“Your brother has the right idea of tying rebars with metal-type powers and that is absolutely a good way of living for metal-type superhumans.”

Wang Siyu appeared baffled from his lecture.

Everyone would always think about how to make effective use of superpowers in combat. How did that change so drastically when it came to Jiang He?

“Alright, stop spacing out. Let’s eat.”

After dinner, Wang Siyu insisted on returning home…it seemed that the young lady was a little overwhelmed after her first time, and afraid that Jiang He would bother again at night, so there was no helping it…

In truth, Jiang He was feeling upset too.

Could he even be blamed for this?

If anything was to be blamed, it would be the unserious cultivation that was the Nine Heavenly Stars Body Formula.

He was already strong, so wouldn’t being strengthened meant that he had become godly?

After seeing off Wang Siyu, Jiang He called out to his maid who was cleaning the kitchen, took out the last Blazing Tomato, and said, “Sora, come upstairs with me…”

***

It was another sleepless night.

Jiang He only fell asleep at three in the morning and slept all the way until twelve. After washing up, he went downstairs with a spring in his step.

Sora had already prepared lunch then.

“Ordinary rice has such poor texture…”

Jiang He stepped out of the mansion after finishing lunch, turning his eyes to the two sacks of rice Li Fei carried there yesterday.

Both sacks of seeds had evolved to some extent. Jiang He opened one sack, took out one seed and crushed the husk, exposing the finger joint-sized grain inside.

The grain was ample and its texture crystalline.

Others notwithstanding, the appearance alone whets one’s appetite.

Nonetheless, planting rice was a technical livelihood. In the early days, humans had initially used small sheds to nurture rice shoots before transplanting rice seedlings, although everything had become mechanized with technological processes.

Machines would be used to sow seeds directly. Once the sprouts grew, they simply had to fill the seedlings in the sparse space within the paddy fields.

Nonetheless, machine sowing required skill as well. First, the rice grains would have to be soaked for some time to wash off the abscisic acid which inhibits seeds from sprouting, thereby easing the seeds’ growth.

Jiang He was only too familiar with paddy.

Be that as it may…

Still, that only applied to normal farms.

On the other hand, even rocks planted in his farm would bud. Why bother with the complicated procedures?

Shouldering a sack of rice into the farm, he instructed Dumbo and Trumbo to plough a ‘paddy field’ spanning three Mu before pouring the entire sack of rice grains into the ground.

It was an experience Jiang He gained after diligent ploughing—anything goes.

After he was done sowing the rice grain, Jiang He had Dumbo dig more holes on the ground to plant the Doom Shrooms.

Jiang He calculated that since one Doom Shroom would earn him 1,000 Farm Points, then the 1,380 Doom Shrooms that he harvested would earn him around 1.38 million Farm Points.

Of course, he did not include the cost of Mysterious Soil in that calculation.

If he were to stick to his previous standard of using one pack of Mysterious Soil for two Doom Shrooms, then not only would he earn nothing but he would lose several million instead.

After adding in half a bag of Mysterious Soil, the Doom Shroom reaped would have a yield of 500,000 tons… the yield would be much smaller if I don’t, but that’s fine—I’m no bomb maniac, why plant so many high-yield Doom Shrooms?

I’ll swap Mysterious Soil for on nitrogen fertilizer to each of the remaining Doom Shrooms.

Jiang He did some calculation.

At the moment, he still had 48,000 Farm Points.

He planted 38 of the 1,380 Doom Shrooms before, making it a total of 1,342.

Each would amount to 1,000 Farm Points. Minus 100 points for each nitrogen fertilizer means a net profit of 900 Farm Points… 1,342 Doom Shrooms…

Three times three is nine, four times four is sixteen, nine times nine is eighty-one…It should be around 1.278 million Farm Points.

That also means over 130,000 EXP!

It was more than a considerable gain.

Hence, Jiang He began planting the Doom Shrooms.

Since there was a total of 1,342 Doom Shrooms, even with Dumbo digging holes ahead and Trumbo burying them behind, Jiang He had to throw in each Doom Shroom with one nitrogen fertilizer…

It was so difficult.

But was there a time farming has not been difficult?

Jiang He remembered the saying that goes, ‘The heavens would confer a title upon mortals, but they would be worked to the bone before that.’

He hence brought out a stool and sat beneath the shade of the willow tree, throwing the many Doom Shrooms sharply into the holes that Dumbo had dug…missing occasionally, in which case he would scold Dumbo, “Would I have missed if you had dug a bigger hole?”

After planting all the Doom Shrooms, Jiang He thought of something. With a turn of his hand, he drew out three walnut-sized pitched-black seeds from his System Backpack…

Seeds, which resembled pebbles.

It was the Mysterious Seed that the System had awarded him.

Even now, Jiang He had no idea what these Mysterious Seeds were.

As he looked at the Mysterious Seeds, a bunch of data showed up.

[Mysterious Seed]

[Attribute: A seed of mystery.]

“Mysterious seed…mysterious seed…”

Jiang He personally dug a hole and put the pitch-black pebblelike seed within, smirking. “Let me see how mysterious you can be, seed. Or what, are you going to grow into real, living person?”
