10 Grimoire of Shadows

Two weeks have passed but Dominic entered class only 4 times. His classmates and other students continued on berating and insulting him. He doesn't give a sh!t about that and continue to live his daily life.

He stayed in the library for the whole day. Andrea always cooks for him and he will just give her money to buy foods for them.

"Its been days but I still haven't found any useful skill. I only have 7 skills in total, 4 are active and 3 is passive. Haaaaist. " Dominic is wandering around the library, hoping to find a book full of useful skills.

"The only skills I got is Rapid reading and Translation, both are passive. Books here have a different language, luckily, I happened to read the book about literature and found the paper containing the skill in one of the pages of that book." The skill Translation and Rapid Reading really helped him a lot in reading.

"Ohhh that book looks interesting." He found a black old book, older than his great great great grandfather. It is covered with dirt, to the point that it is unreadable anymore.

He picked the book and tried to wipe the cover page, but he failed to wipe it out.

"Huh? So weird." he is confused. He started to find one private room and after a minute he found one and he entered immediately.

He opened the cover and only 1 page with ancient letters welcomed him and the other pages are blank. The words are not understandable to a normal person unless he/she is a litterateur.

Luckily, Dom found the skill Translation paired with Rapid reading that allows him to read ancient language and read books within minutes instead of weeks.

"This is the Grimoire of Shadow. It is a skill contained by Shadow skills. To have full control in this grimoire, one needs to absorb the soul of a living creature. There is only one way to absorb a soul, to use Shalltear sword. Every soul absorbed, there is a word will appear in the book about a skill."

"Shalltear sword eh? This book is awesome! I will kill and kill and kill! I'll gonna go on killing spree, but sadly, I can't get out of the academy's vicinity. Tsk. I'll gonna wait for 8 months." He lamented.

"Ohhhhh!" The Shalltear sword churned inside the Weapon Ring and it feels like its gonna burst.

[Fvck, its gonna burst!] Dominic ran outside with the Grimoire in his hands. He activated Thunder and ran through the secluded forest. The students saw him was shocked.

"Why does he looked so strong yet he is so weak? Arrghhhh... Did the Evaluator made some mistake?"

"He looked awesome while covered in Thunder. Even if I tell other girls, they won't believe in me. He looks cute too."

Soon as he reached the forest, the Weapon ring burst with a loud boom and the Shalltear sword burst out.

It flew in the air and the Grimoire in his hands flew beside the Shalltear sword.

Both of them fly around Dominic and both of them released a black light.

They encircled Dominic with a high speed. Then, two pair of black strings entangled both of his hands and he pulled it and the Grimoire of Shadow flew into his left and Shalltear sword flew into his right.

[Two souls has perfectly connected.]

"Huh? two souls?" He is now confused.

"Hello!"

"WOAH!" A little girl with wings and dressed in a black dress appeared in front of him.

"What are you?" he moved backward away from the little girl.

"I'm Mona. A shadow pixie. I am here to assist you in using the Grimoire of Shadows and Shalltear sword. My soul is severed in two and stored in the Grimoire of Shadows and Shalltear sword.

"We are demon's enemy. We really hate how they killed humans so we fight back. Using our power and Helping humans to gain skills. But they annihilated our race and there are some survived but to continue living, we severed our soul into two and stored it on weapons and grimoire.

"As a Shadow pixie, I asked for a soul to replenish my power, in order to help you fighting demons or other things you want to do.

"Other pixies have their own affinities and have different requirements to activate their grimoires.

"Now that this two is soul bound to you, you are the only one who can use this grimoire and Shalltear sword. " Pixie flew and landed into his shoulder.

"Ahhhh! So, you will help me? I read in grimoire that it contains skills? What are those?" Dom asked.

"Secret. But it contains movement skills, binding skills, healing skills, offensive skills, and defensive skills." Mona is flying around him.

"Ahhhh! Ok. Crocky come out and meet Pixie." Then Crocky slithered out of his shirt. He grows into full two meters and his limbs are severed from his body and he can fly without activating is skills.

"Hello Mona, I'm Crocky. Nice meeting you!" Crocky greeted Mona.

"A RED FLASH DRAGON!" Mona flew into Crocky's back and mounted him.

"Can I mount him, Master?" Mona asked with eyes filled with excitement.

"Go ask Crocky. If he will agree, then go and suit yourself." Dom patted Crocky's head.

"Crocky, Can I ride your back?" Mona gave Crocky a pitiful stare.

"Yeah... Sure why not." [D@mn you master! A mighty Dragon mounted by a puny little creature? Arrrrgh!]Crocky gave Dom a death stare.

Dominic cannot help but to at Crocky's situation.

"Go at full speed Crocky!" Then they flew around the forest.

[So if the Grimoire of Shadows will absorb the soul, then I won't be able to absorb Fantasia directly?]

[Yes master!] Mona replied.

[Oh we can engage in mental conversation?] He felt nervous. What if Mona heard his convo with Crocky?

[Yes master!] though Mona is still riding Crocky's back and flying out there, she engaged in mental conversation with Dominic.

[So you heard my mental conversation with Crocky?] Cold sweat dripping down his face. He was afraid. What if she will kill Crocky because of that? She is a shadow pixie after all. Shadow means evil and she also asked for the soul to replenish her power. So, therefore, she has an evil nature. Dom is afraid of this situation.

[No master. Pet Channel is different from my channel. Crocky's conversation is on channel one while our conversation is on channel 2. Both of us can't read your thoughts. You can talk to us at the same time if you want, our channel will connect and be able to engage in mental conversation with you at the same time.]

[Ahhhhh. Ok thank you, Mona]

"Ohhhhh. You remembered the man who robbed you?" A man wearing a polo and slacks paired with black shoes is talking to a girl wearing a red dress.

"Yes, father. His name Is Dominic Stellarium."The girl is Francia Bridette and the man is Leonardo Bridette, his father and Lord of the city of Tamfaken. Tears flowed out of her face. She still remembers how miserable her state when the guards found her. A man who saved her also hurt her and robbed her at the same time.

"That man? He is living here in the city and he is studying in Cresent Moon institute. I'll ask King Cyril to kill him." Leonardo is thinking of ways how to eradicate that man.

"Father, I beg you. Just exile him from the kingdom. Even though he robbed me, I still owe him my life. He saved me twice. So, I will not ask you to kill him, just kick him out from the Kingdom." tears is still flowing from her eyes. Leonardo hugged her and said "Ok ok. Don't cry now, little girl. Everything will be fine."

"Demons is being suppressed in a small continent? Defeated long ago by humans?" Mona was shocked.

"Yes. That's true. Humans defeated demons 1122 years ago. There is no actual date of the when humans defeated demons. The First year after demons are when the Kingdom of Trylon was built. it was on January 1, 0000" Dominic explained.

They are now in the dorm. Mona is flying around the room, looking at new things in her eyes. She is alive for 2000 years now but stored in the Grimoire of Shadows and Shalltear sword for almost 1,500 years. That's why she is really amazed by the new equipment and objects in this era. It was still afternoon so Andrea is still at school. If she happens to see this, she will be shocked and will be suspicious about the Strength of Dominic.

Dom has a spare weapon ring, robbed from the bandits. He used it to store the Grimoire of Shadows and Shalltear sword. Even though Grimoire of Shadows is a book, it is considered a weapon because it contains powerful skills.

"Mona. When we are outside this dorm, hide in the pocket of my polo. Don't come out unless necessary things happen.

"Okay."
