The place directly below the cliff of where we were seemed to be a food storage. There were fruits like things from the jungle and a bunch of wild animal corpses stacked up.

There was no worry of it rotting. Considering the appetite of these monsters the food here wouldn’t last more than a day.

“So there are 3 exits. Us moving separately is risky. If we were to block all the escape routes then there’s a possibility of them going wild so it would be best to leave one place open.”

“Then are we splitting into 2 teams?”

I shook my head to Soo-ah’s question.

“One will be blocked by Kelby. If it’s the current him, he can handle level 3 monsters with ease.”

Kelby had once survived diving into a group of 100 monsters. Blocking a narrow road was a piece of cake in comparison.

“There’s a better method.”

Soo-ah said.

“What method? If you say something weird again you’ll be in trouble.”

“Geez. Just listen to me for now?”

“What is it?”

“It’s blocking the middle road with spider webs.”

“Hm……?”

“Because it’s a level 3 spider web it should be able to block them pretty well. Of course it would be penetrated if pushed with numbers, but that just means I have to install more spider webs.”

“Sounds like a good idea. How long will you need to prepare?”

“About 30 minutes to block one road.”

“Then you will block the middle road while Kelby blocks another. The last one can have the webs installed half heartedly by having you and Han Joon-suk blocking it.”

“Sound good.”

Han Joon-suk nodded.

For now we walked around the cliff to the road on the opposite side. We left Kelby at one of the roads and finished installing spider webs on another.

Considering that the male Mukamukas could appear if we took too long, we had to work as fast as possible.

Edward who was just following around silently suddenly started talking.

“What should I do?”

“Stick next to Han Joon-suk and keep an eye out for enemies. Alert us immediately if you see anything weird.”

“I can fight as well though.”

“I never told you not to fight.”

“Do I get a bonus if I fight well?”

“After seeing how things go.”

His mouth is the only thing that’s energetic on this weak being.

The plan was simple. Soo-ah and Edward will stick to Han Joon-suk as his guards while I go in and rampage.

The monsters will try not to go towards Kelby or the arrow shooting Han Joon-suk as much as possible.

However the middle path was literally the road to their end. While they are there not knowing how to pass, we will kill them all.

“Will you really be fine on your own?”

“I tried it before.”

At that time Kelby fought with me as well but this time should be easier than before.

Back then there were vampires as well, and the average level of the monsters here is lower too. There are many young Mukamukas here after all.

“Then. I’m going!”

I ran towards the Mukamuka village while kicking up dirt. A Mukamuka blocking the road came into my sight.

Before it could notice me I rushed up and stabbed my sword in its neck.

“KUAAAA!”

That was a superb cry.

Once I twisted my sword red blood came gushing out. I sent its head flying as an insurance and ran into the village.

“Kuu?”

“Kaa?”

Even the ones that didn’t realize the sudden appearance of a human started screaming as if startled once I started swinging my sword at them.

Boom boom boom!

They alerted the other Mukamukas in the area by beating their chest or hitting the ground. A bunch of young Mukamukas rushed out from the pile of boulders. Adult Mukamukas followed them from behind.

I couldn’t tell the difference between male and female Mukamukas by just looking at them.

However I was able to check their name and level through the manual.

Female Mukamuka (3) : A female Mukamuka. Weaker than its male counterpart.

I ignored the young Mukamukas that were busy trying to run away and targeted the level 3 female Mukamukas.

There are species where the females are stronger but maybe because they are primates at the base, it seems like the females were weaker just like humans.

“Hah!”

Slash!

Every time I swung my Heavy Strike Longsword a large monster’s head went flying. The leather of the level 3 beast type monster was cut like tofu facing of the Heavy Strike Longsword.

“Kuaaa!”

It didn’t matter even if they didn’t die in one strike. The fighting power of beast type monsters fell drastically one they lost even a single limb.

They were good monsters to farm for various reasons. It was the very reason I placed Mukamukas and Tutulips here after all.

There was a giant explosion nearby. I was wondering what it was but it turned out to be the Explosive Arrow Han Joon-suk shot.

To be exact, Explosive Arrow Container. If you put in arrows it would be enchanted with Explosion Magic, creating a large explosion when it hits the mark.

To add to that, the bow was the level 5 Dragon Killer. The synergy of the two was producing some incredible firepower.

BOOM!

With explosion at the back and me dominating the front it couldn’t be helped that the Mukamukas fell into confusion.

There were even ones trying to get up to a place without a road. I actually saw one that was climb up the cliff to escape.

“GRAA!”

Kelby’s roar resounded throughout the area. The Mukamukas that were escaping that way immediately started running to the opposite direction.

Kelby, who had the ability of absorbing the characteristics of the monsters he eats, had already grown to the point where he could fight on par with a level 5 monster.

Even when he has that much strength, the penalty is only losing the special ability from eating items and monsters.

Even from my point of view, that’s cheating.

“KUA!”

“KAA!”

It was at that moment.

The confused Mukamukas who were crashing into each other until now suddenly all rushed towards the exit on the right.

They should have tried to escape to the exit in the middle but they got scared of Kelby and ran away to the furthest exit.

“Oh dear…….”

No matter how powerful Han Joon-suk’s Dragon Killer was and how superior Soo-ah’s physical abilities were, it was not enough to guarantee their safeties while facing dozens of Mukamukas.

I ran towards the right exit at max speed. I had to drive them towards the middle exit before it was too late.

“KWAA!”

Whoosh!

A gigantic fist flew towards me. It wasn’t a level 3 female. Feeling the imminent crisis I changed my direction.

BOOM!

As the ground got flipped over the stack of boulders nearby crumbled down. An almost 3 meter tall Mukamuka threw itself at me.

Level 5. Its name was Mukamuka Leader.

Possibly because it was playing around with the females after sending its subordinates to hunt, its thing between its legs was grotesquely erected.

Boom!

I dodge the monster and sprinted forward again. If this was any other situation then it wouldn’t even be a menace. However, right now even a second was precious.

I took out the Eight Trigrams Scutum from the manual.

“KUAA!”

The monster raised its two arms into the air. It was like a giant statue was pressing me down. I set the Eight Trigrams Scutum towards it.

A blinding light appeared for a moment. The mass of light which was like a reflection of sunlight penetrated right through the Mukumuka’s chest and up towards the sky.

“Kaaa…….”

The light faded from the Mukamuka Leader’s eyes and its massive body fell forward.

Boom!

The corpse twitched as blood poured out like a waterfall.

The Eight Trigrams Scutum.

It was a level 7 item taken from Wee Oong-bee. It was my first time using it properly but it’s power was quite terrifying.

Even if he was able to survive at the forest region, he would probably die of anger if he remembers this item.

Either way, it was not time for me to think about such things. I hurriedly ran towards the right exit.

Dozens of the monsters had already entered the place Han Joon-suk, Soo-ah, and Edward were.

If close combat were to start, the only then the only one that could fight properly was Soo-ah so it was unknown how long she would be able to hold out for.

“Hyaa!”

I could hear Soo-ah’s shout of exertion. Her weapon was a level 3 bastard sword.

It was enough to be able to fight against a female Mukamuka but there were too many of them at the moment.

The only saving grace was the existence of the Friendship Skill’s stat amplifier and the Necklace of Confinement.

Hm, wait a minute?

If it’s like that when what’s her current reflex stat like now then?

Currently my reflex stat was 450%. Let’s say that is increased by 100%. Because Soo-ah’s Friendship buff wasn’t additive but multiplicative, the reflex stat would become 900%.

That meant 10 times the reflex of a normal person.

Isn’t she stronger than me?

“Kuaaa!”

“Kyaa!”

“Kueak!”

It was the continuous screams of the Mukamukas. I progressed while cutting down every single monster in my way without mercy.

That didn’t seem to be enough so I resumed progressing by stomping on and crushing their heads. After passing by dozens of Mukamukas in that way, what I saw in front of me was Soo-ah covered in blood swinging her sword at an incredible speed.

“Hah. Hah. Hah.”

It was fast enough for me to be unable to see the sword.

However, Soo-ah who was showing such movements was heaving her shoulders to the degree that it was pitiful.

It was a phenomenon brought about by the reflex that was 10 times higher than normal not being supported by the right amount of endurance.

On top of that, I could see her right arm twitching. It was cramping.

This meant that if you raised a single ability too much the body’s balance crumbles causing you to be unable to fully display your ability.

I stomped on the last Mukamuka’s head and jumped into the air.

As soon as I landed on Soo-ah’s back, she swung her sword at me with terrifying vigor.

I didn’t even have time to think about dodging.

Clang!

I was narrowly able to twist my body to block the sword with my armor. I was only able to block it with my armor because it was the level 3 bastard sword.

It was a speed terrifying enough for me to start shivering the moment I thought, what if she was using a high level weapon.

“Hey. You. Who do you think you’re attacking?”

“Ah…… Se, senior brother…….”

“I will scold you for this later so rest for now.”

“……Yes.”

She fell backwards with a face that seemed to be on the verge of dying.

I was worried about her condition but the priority right now was to annihilate the Mukamuka in front of me.

Seeing dozens of Mukamuka coming at me, it was at the level of a horror movie.

I raised Thor’s Hammer instead of the Heavy Strike Longsword and struck the ground.

Boom!

With that thunderous sound, the Mukamukas that were charging at me collapsed into a shivering mess.

I wasn’t able to kill them with that but even making their movement slower was enough. I swapped back to the Heavy Strike Longsword and sent their heads flying one by one.

“Kueek!”

“Kaak!”

Once I decapitated a few dozen of them, I noticed that they started backing away slowly.

I thought that this was the chance so I pushed forward more fiercely than before which caused their morale to break and escape in droves.

Slash!

“Kaaang!”

I stabbed my sword into the chest of the last one to come at me and took it out after twisting it. Blood and innards came out with a disgusting sound.

“Whew…….”

I put away the sword while getting the blood off my face.
