As Rosaline laid silently with closed eyes, she thought.
What's the use?
There was no use of her struggle.
She felt Damon soft lips on her lips. Her body tensed up but she couldn't move.
Damon hands held her wrists pinned on the bed above her head. And there was no way she could get free from his hold.
"I'm never letting you go", his hoarse and determined voice landed in her ears, "Because you are only mine"
Even if she already knew the answer, her heart still filled with fear.
She felt his sharp teeth on her neck and she gasped as the pain came to her senses. He pressed her body with his. When Rosaline felt the weight on her body, she felt caged and suffocated.
Her eyelids lifted up slightly and revealed two desolated blue eyes.
But wouldn't struggling result in her own harm?
Her body relaxed as if she had submitted to her fate. Events of past passed through her eyes but now it was too late to repent.
Damon felt her body relaxing and not struggling anymore. He let go of her wrists but they stayed at the same place and she didn't even move anymore. He lifted his head from her neck and looked at her. Her head was tilted to a side. her big eyes were opened slightly but lifeless.
"Why the dejected look?", he said in a hostile voice, "Wasn't it you who started it?"
Rosaline didn't say a thing but he saw the flicker of emotion in her limpid, clear mirror like eyes.
There wasn't any tear anymore.
He looked at her gorgeous face for a moment as if trying to make a decision. Then abruptly, he let go of her, buttoned his shirt and put on his coat.
After throwing a last glance at her, Damon left the room.
After he left, Rosaline stayed in the same position for a long time.
She just wanted to curl herself in a ball and cry herself to sleep but whenever she closed her eyes, flashes of last night came to her mind and tormented her.
Rosaline knew her life would never be the same since the day she caught the eye of this dangerous man.
Her life would never be the same since the day she made that grave mistake one year ago when she was nineteen.
Damon Stafford was the name that chilled countless people to marrow. No one would ever dare to offend him in their wildest dream.
But her naive self had to do that one year ago.
Rosaline was never a fragile, weak girl. Though her looks were innocent and pretty, she was a strong headed woman. She was not the one to get bullied. No one could ever take advantage of her.
But even the, there was a person she should never have offended.
Exactly one year ago, in a club, late at night, she had seen the notorious man-Damon Stafford for the first time.
Back then she had thought he was a handsome man. Though she didn't know his name or identity at that time, she had thought of him as a real gentleman. A caring good-natured person. Someone who had a very kind and compassionate heart
How wrong she was.
