One week passed by quietly. Everything remains the same - Yelena was still receiving treatment in the hospital with Felix by her side, Lt. Morris still carried out his mission to track down the Iselin's and at least one of the Arista family member came to the hospital each day.
Maj. Gen. Ethan Arista was still not happy with the two relationship that fastly developed, but he was not rude to Felix either. He just let him be as he knows that he was the person whom his daughter currently needed the most.
"Did you say that you want Yelena to be treated outside the hospital?" Mrs. Arista said to Felix who came to meet them in their mansion early in the morning. Her husband and father in law were also equally surprised as her.
"I don't think that's necessary. It's best for her to be under the care of a skilled doctor in a prestigious hospital." Maj. Gen. Ethan Arista brushed Felix off right away. He was convinced that being in a hospital would be best for his daughter's speedy recovery.
Mrs. Vanessa Arista sharply glanced at her husband for his behaviour. He should at least hear the young man out. Since when did he become this narrow-minded?
The Major General immediately keeps his mouth shut when he noticed his wife's threatening gaze! His eyes rolled around everywhere, but his wife.
"We should listen to the Prince first. Cutting off someone even before they explained themselves is rude." General Logan Arista scolded his son. They were the true example of the saying 'like father, like son' as both of them possessed a formidable presence.
"What makes you think that way, Your Highness?" The General asked the Prince.
"Yelena wish to leave the hospital. She said that the smell will worsen her condition and I understand why she thinks like that."
He remained by Yelena's side all the time and he also finds the hospital smell quite troubling. Though he already got used to it by now, he still wants to grant her wish. Besides, he already made a promise to her.
The Arista's think that Felix has a point. After all, he was the one who looks after Yelena and he knows her condition the best.
"That's a good idea. It will be great for Yelena's health too." Mrs. Arista exclaimed. "What do you think, Father?" She titled her head to the General.
"As long as it's my granddaughter's wish, then I'm okay with it." The old General expressed his opinion.
Then the three look at the father who was still to say his decision. Mr. Arista dumbfoundedly glanced at them and sigh in defeat when he saw his wife's face that urged him to speak up. "I'm fine with it. But does that mean she will continue to receive treatment at home?"
"Yes. At home, but not this home." Mrs. Arista said with a smile when a good idea popped up in her mind.
"What do you mean?" The husband asked his wife curiously.
Mrs. Arista snickered at her husband and shifted her gaze to Felix. "I know a good place for her to continue the treatment. Felix, bring her to our villa in the countryside. The atmosphere is great there!" She expressed her idea with glee.
"No way!" Mr. Arista retorted. "Do you plan to sent our daughter miles away? Only with her boyfriend on top of that! I absolutely refuse this silly idea."
"Why is that a silly idea? Our daughter will have a great time there while recovering from her injury at the same time!".
Mr. Arista refused to back down and so is his wife. Soon, the drama of a couple argument takes place in the once calm room!
Felix watched the argument between the couple that took place right before his eyes. He was completely dumbfounded! What would he do in this situation? He had no idea as it was the first time he witnessed the heated argument of a middle-aged couple! His parents rarely argue as his father was always quick to soothe his mother. He sat still in a dilemma.
"Stop it already." The surprisingly calm words of the family head was enough to stop the argument. "Don't you feel ashamed? Your daughter's boyfriend is watching you. If Yelena was to know this, she won't have the guts to face her lover anymore."
Somehow, Felix finds this family quite amusing. In his opinion, they all truly cared about each other but they were bad in the expressing part. His lips unconsciously curved into an amusing smile.
How great would it be to be a part of this family? This type of family argument was the thing he never got to experience. He never knows that an argument could be this fun!
All he ever remembered was a tense conversation with his family that slowly breaks them apart each day! He might have some sweet childhood moments with his family but he didn't remember anymore. Maybe he lived in the darkness for way too long!
"Let Yelena go to our countryside villa." General Logan Arista stated his opinion much to his son's dismay.
"Father! It is not good for Yelena to go that far in her current situation." Mr. Ethan Arista exclaimed with disbelief.
"She can just use our helicopter. That way, it will take less than 10 minutes." The General brushed off the lame excuse. Why care about the distance when they have the most advanced transportation?!
Mrs. Arista looked at her husband and beamed with victory. "Not to mention we have the best private jets and helicopters in this country. Plus, we can have our family doctor treats her." The tone of her voice was a mocking one as if she was trying to add fuel to the fire!
"I'll take Yelena there." Felix paused for a while and look at the father who showed him an annoyed expression. "But we will go only after I got your permission, Mr. Arista." He clearly looked at the father as if he didn't feel discouraged at all. He hates to admit but he was not that confident.
As eyes could see, it was clear that the father doesn't seem to be pleased with him.....
