Chapter 129 - The Crazy Prince

Alonzo wondered how satisfying it would be to see his cousin suffer again. He had seen him that way for the last four years and he was adamant to make it happen again.

Too bad. A beautiful young woman must pay the price again. If only Cara Laria chose him... he shook his head, refusing to think farther.

"Your Highness, due to Cayden's incident, the Crown Prince is very careful now. He makes his men watched over her all the time. Besides, his fiancee is a skilled soldier. It is a very risky move." Ivan pointed out the cons of his master's plan.

"I'm well aware of that. But I don't say that we should make a move now. We can wait until she returns to her country. Think about it, Ivan." Alonzo grinned wickedly resembling a mad man. "His fiancee will be missing but he will be miles away. It will be a pure torment for my cousin."

"I understand what you say, Your Highness," Ivan said respectfully. His gaze never met the crazy Prince.

"Let's be still for now and quietly prepared for the fun. I already feel excited." A wide grin never left Alonzo's face.

Ivan quietly rearranged the sheet and paints for the Prince and when he was done, he turned to the Prince. "I will make preparations."

Prince Alonzo nodded, then Ivan bowed and left the room. Now that he had something to look forward to, Alonzo was in a great mood again. He whistled and pick up a pencil. After a while, he finished drawing the face of one woman who was none other than Yelena Arista.

Grinning at the drawing, he picked up a red paint and splash in the drawing which made the face covered with red. "Oops!" He exclaimed as if it was a mistake. "After a few days, this paint will be replaced by real blood." A sinister smile plastered his face as he laughed at the drawing.

"How are you doing, Lex?" Putting a phone next to his ear, Felix talked to his cousin who was on the other line.

The Brigadier was in the hospital as usual. Gina physical health had improved a lot but she was not still stable mentally. "I'm fine, Felix. I checked the CCTV's as you asked but the footage was removed. It seems like this man is quite powerful. He has his ways everywhere, even here in Silveren."

Felix already assumed this. The enemy was powerful enough to threaten Cayden and hired some men to keep in check of his family. "Do this, Lex. Install a secret camera inside Gina's room. Be as secretive as possible." Thinking about Cayden's betrayal, Felix narrowed his eyes on the floor. "Nothing is guaranteed and don't trust anyone blindly."

Lexus could felt right away that there was a difference in his cousin. The way he talked was the proof. "I will do that but Felix, is everything alright? Somehow, you seem strange."

Sitting in an armchair next to the fireplace like he always did, Felix bit his lip. He was a bit hesitant to spill the truth. "The traitor that I mentioned before, it's Cayden. I find it out the day before yesterday and he is now locked up in my family villa."

The news was unexpected but the first thing that came to Lexus's mind was how his cousin might felt now. It would be so tormenting as Cayden was his most trusted guard. He was his right-hand man. "What will you do with him?" He asked after remaining quiet for a while.

Felix took a deep breath, propping his elbow in the armrest and rubbed his eyes. "I don't know. I can't make any decision for now. He knows the face of the scorpion tattoo man. The artist drew it and I already told my men to circulate it."

"I hope we would see some progress soon. Stay strong, Felix." Lexus calmly assured and encouraged his younger cousin.

"Yelena is here, so I'm fine. We got my parents approval today." Felix uttered. His face brightened up a bit at the mention of Yelena and today's event.

"My aunt approved of her? Wow, Felix! Yelena is amazing. How did she manage to win over my stubborn aunt?" Lexus was suddenly filled with curiosity. He was well aware of his aunt's nature! The last time he saw the Queen, she was asking him to talk Felix out of the relationship. What made the stubborn Queen changed her mind?!

"I don't know either." Felix sighed. "Even when the two women have a private chat, they won't tell me what they talked about! It drives me crazy." He bluntly said. He never knew that his parents were this mischievous! His father did the same when he first visited Yelena.

Lexus chuckled at his cousin's words. "Anyway, congratulations, Felix. It seems like our country will soon be having a Crown Princess." He glanced through the glass part of the doors and gazed at Gina who was lying on the bed. "Today, Gina talked for the first time since she woke up. She called my name but she didn't say any other word." His eyes had both sadness and happiness in them.

Felix blinked at the unexpected news. "Really? That's great, Lex! She took the first step today, so she will recover soon." He promptly said.

"I hope so." Lexus slightly smiled. "I will hang up now. Enjoy your time, cousin. Tell me if anything happens."

"Okay, you too." Felix put down the phone and blankly stared at the floor for a while. Gina slowly recovered from aphasia and if the culprit heard this, he won't be still. He needs to do something.

He glanced at the big clock hanging on the wall and realized that it was already 11 p.m. He wondered if Yelena would be asleep by now. In fact, he still finds it hard to believe that she was sleeping here, in the palace. It still felt like a dream, a beautiful dream and if it really was, he didn't want to wake up. He wanted to live in this moment.

Lifting his phone again, he dialled her number and she picked up in the first ring. Maybe she couldn't sleep.

"Do you have trouble sleeping?" He promptly asked her.

"A bit. But it's still early." Yelena said from the other line.

Felix was a little worried about her. A long day was awaiting her. She will spend some time with him and depart in the evening. She needs to return to her country. Then an idea crossed his mind.

"If that's the case, take the elevator and come to the rooftop. I will show you something." When she agreed, he instantly rose from his seat and go to the rooftop.

Yelena gets off her bed, wear some clothes and then take the elevator to the rooftop as Felix said. It reminded her of the time he asked her to be his fiancee back then in her country, on the rooftop of her family mansion. The memory made her felt warm.

She saw him waiting for her when she reached there and he quickly approached her. "Is this place safe?" She jokingly asked. "There are guards and servants everywhere."

"Yes." Felix nodded and pointed at what seemed like a small room on the right. "That's my hideout. No one is allowed to go there without my permission, even my parents. So, people rarely came here."

"Like your place for doing secret deeds?" Yelena assumed with a playful smile.

"You can also call it that way." Felix regarded her amusingly. "My grandfather built it for me when I was 5. He knew that I was bored of the strict rules and the palace regulations. He permitted me to do whatever I want if I'm in this room. He also made an order forbidding everyone else to come here without my permission. Even after his death, the order still stands."

"So, you're giving me permission to come?" Yelena said, curiously glancing at the room.

Felix nodded. "All I have is yours, Yelena. I'm willing to give you my everything. You are the first person to come here. To be honest, I didn't come here often anymore."

"Why? It's like a place of relief for you." Yelena asked.

"My grandfather died when I was fifteen. After his funeral, I locked myself up here for three whole days. He was always the one who understood me the best, so it was very hard for me. This room often reminds me of that time." Felix said but he soon forced a smile.

Holding Yelena's hand, he said, "Let's go inside." He leads her to the door, pressed the password of the door lock and then they walked inside.

Yelena was blown away by the interior. From the outside, it seemed like a small room but it was very large when she stepped inside. Maybe because the palace was too big, that's why the room appeared to be small from the exterior. It's even larger than her apartment!

Couches, paintings, tables and chairs, television and portraits; many types of toys were also in the room. Were those the Prince toys when he was a young boy? They were so small and lovely.

The portraits of Felix's grandfather and eight years old Felix riding the horse with his grandfather; there were many portraits of the late King. It made Yelena wondered how deep was the love Felix had for the former King.....
