'Damn it! But that doesn't matter. If Professor Yang relented to this apology he would not be Professor Yang that had tyrannized the whole Lecture Hall with his fearsome reputation!' With that thought, the glimmer in Shen Changying eyes returned.

And her words were right. When Professor Yang noticed that Xu Xinya had apologized and she didn't appear to be the type who was arrogantly rebellious, his anger had kind of quietened down.

But that didn't mean the issue was resolved.

The whole class was watching.

He had to deal with Xu Xinya strictly to stop any future acts of defiance from the other students and stem his fear in their hearts. After all, with fear comes respect. And the first impression is the most important thing.

Xu Xinya had to be sacrificed for him to keep his reputation.

With that in mind, Professor Yang's face darkened once again. His cold gaze accessed the student who was still bowing in front of him. With a suffocating aura around him and his arms folded behind his back, he initiated.

"Is this the time—" Suddenly the Professor chocked.

Xu Xinya blinked. She didn't intend to stop bowing before Professor Yang allowed her to. She was prepared for whatever reprimanding words he was about to say. But when she heard his choke as if he had been throttled followed by a somewhat lubricious chain of violent coughs, she involuntarily rose her head and stared at him in confusion.

Ahh... Did he get a stroke by some lucky chance?

"Professor, are you alright. Do you need me to get you water?" The assistant immediately panicked and brought over a glass of water.

After gulping down and coughing for quite some time, Professor Yang finally stabilized. "I'm alright." His face looked somewhat pale. After some time, he finally faced Xu Xinya. The aura around him was no longer as severe as it was in the beginning. In fact, he appeared like a dwindling candle that had lost its vigor. "So Miss Xu Xinya, you were saying you encountered an accident on your way? Could you...please elaborate on it?" He was exceptionally polite; his tone was very reticent.

The totally unexpected question threw Xu Xinya off guards. It was not only Xu Xinya but all the students in the Hall were surprised when instead of lashing at her, Professor Yang very gently asked her some questions. As the one being questioned, Xu Xinya immediately controlled her expressions and replied respectively. "Yes, actually a senior told me that I have been called by the Chancellor."

"Absurd!" Professor Yang, owing to his age and experience immediately deduced what might have transpired. "Chancellor is not even in the capital. How could he have called you?" His tone was loud with a hint of implication.

For a moment, Xu Xiya felt as if Professor Yang was accusing her of lying. If she told him that she had been pranked there were little chances that he would accept. Thus a hint of panic appeared on her face.

How was she supposed to explain this to him? She didn't even know that senior's name.

It was after Professor Yang said his next words, Xu Xinya was totally speechless.

"Tell me kid, who pranked you. I will get to the bottom of it and deal with the student personally!"

With those words, no only the accusation on her was lifted, but she was also given the privilege of been given justice.

At his enthusiastic and passionate declaration, it was not only Xu Xinya who gaped but everyone else in the Hall too.

Was it the same unreasonable, bad-tempered Professor Yang?
