Chapter 44 - Why Don't You Court Her?

When morning comes, I rubbed my eyes and stretched my arms. I looked beside me, my brother's gone. He's probably preparing for his school so I walked out of my room and look for him, I can't send him alone.

I heard my friends's laughs on the kitchen, so I immediately walk over there and then I saw them together with Sebastian. My brother.

He's eating beside Gia who's now busy putting some spread on her bread. This is the first time that we eat breakfast together again.

They looked at me and smiled, "Good morning!"

"Morning.." My brother smiles when I looked at him.

He stood up and hugged me, "Going to school now?" I asked.

"Later. I still want to bond with you.."

I smiled, "I'll make some time for you when I settled with my day off,"

"Really?" His eyes looks happy.

"Yeah. And we'll gonna take Drake with us," His gripped loosened.

His face looks pissed now, "Why would that loser come with us? He's so annoying!"

Drake is also our brother. Actually, they're twins. My parents didn't based their names for being twin brothers. They want them to have their own unique identities which people won't criticize them. And I also agree with that.

I love them both. I'm also close with Drake but he's not a vocal type of person. He's cold and mysterious unlike Sebastian who's always sweet and talkative.

They're basically not close, because for Sebastian's attitude. He doesn't want a boring type of person. I'm not saying that Drake is boring, but as for his cold personality that he takes after our mother. He doesn't speak often and he just prefer to sit on his bed and read some books which he basically takes from me.

I love books anyway..

"Don't be too hard on Drake. He's nice and I want to see him too.." I pouted.

He looks at me and sigh. I know he can't ignore me. He loves me more than our parents.

"Okay. I know you like cold guys over cool guys, so I don't have a choice. Drake probably missed you too," He rolled his eyes.

"Who told you that I like cold guys over cool guys?"

He shrugs, "I just guessed it,"

"I love them both and I also love funny guys!" I remembered Noah and his manly jawline, clenching together. Damn.

"So your guy earlier is funny?" We sat together. The girls are watching us.

"Who's guy?" I act clueless.

"Stop acting like a stupid. I know you thinks of him now," My two friends giggles.

I hissed and crashed his arm, "You can't say that to me!"

"You love Drake more than me anyway.." His voice sounds annoyed. "And you're probably pissed because I didn't take him with me.."

My mouth parted as I watch my brother eating his cereals beside me. He's jealous and I want to laugh but I just can't. He'll be upset if I did that.

"Aww! You're so cute, Seb. Don't be jealous, your sister loves you both," Jess looks so touched.

You don't know how it annoys him more if someone says that he's jealous of his brother, Jess.. You don't know..

I shook my head and just eat my bread. He's quiet and it bothers me. I looked at him but he didn't look at me.

"Hey, Gi. Can you just put the tab on me tonight? I really need to go now," Jess asked in her lower tone. She's asking Gia's favor to wash the dishes for her.

"Okay. Buy some fried chicken and beer tonight for my tip," She laughs.

"Sure!" Jess's shouts inside her room.

I also eat everything on my plate so I can send my brother on his school now. I still haven't bath yet.

"You're done?" Gia asks.

I turn to my brother, "You're done?" I asked and he just nod without looking at me.

I helped Gia put all the plates on the sink. She smiles when she looked at my brother.

"He's handsome," She giggles and I just respond it with a mutter 'I know'

"Hey, gotta go. Bye!" Jess shouts as she waves at us.

"Take care!" I said. When we finished, I told them that I'll bath first so my brother is now waiting for me at the living room. He's watching a television, I hope he wouldn't get bored waiting for me.

I wonder if Noah was there already..

I heard a knock on my door. I can't go out right now. It must be Seb.

"Raine! Your boyfriend is here!" Seb shouts and to my surprise, the shampoo slipped on my hand.

"What are you saying! I don't have a boyfriend!" I shouts.

Well, I don't know what's going on between us. He didn't asked if we're dating or not. I'll just assumed that we're not for now.

"His name is Noah! He's waiting and I'm also waiting! Don't make us wait too long!"

That brat!

I rushed to put the shampoo on my hair. I need to make it fast, I can't be late. Noah's also waiting!

Why is he here? He didn't even mentioned that he would pick me?

I finished everything to face him in an early time. I hate to make people wait for me. It's better for me to wait for them instead.

I just wear a simple turtle neck long sleeve and a dark blue skinny jeans. I need to cover myself or else I'll freeze in this cold weather. I also wear a khaki coat and my favorite boots. And for the last, I just wear a black scarf. I don't need a bonnet, my hair looks beautiful today.

Before going out, I put some black eyeliners and a light make up. My lips looks dry so I rushed to put some pink lipstick on it.

When I opened the door, I went over the living room and found my brother and Noah talking in a serious way.

What's with them? Hmm?

My heart jumped when Noah looks at me. He smiles and stands up, I walk over there and also smiled at him. He cleared his throat and it looks like he's preventing himself to smile widely.

"Can we go now, Raine?" My grumpy little brother interrupted us.

He sounds like an adult really..

"So why are you here?" I asked. I smiled at my brother.

"I bet you haven't read my text messages this morning yet.." He smiles.

I was intimidated so I immediately checked my phone inside my bag. I read all his messages and it includes there that he's going to pick me up.

I felt guilty for not reading it. I was supposed to check my phone earlier but I didn't had the chance because I was checking up on my brother.

"Uh.." I have no words to say.

"It's okay," He chuckles.

"You know, you don't have to pick me up. I need to drop my brother in his school first before going to work.."

"Then, let me drive you," He offered.

I shook my head, "No, you don't have to. I'll be quick--"

"Nah. I insist," He smiles.

Now, I felt defeated, "C-can we go now, then?"

"Sure," He says and waited for me to lead the way outside.

I told him where my brother's school was. I can't help but to feel shy for driving us there. He insist so I have to follow it. My brother will get mad if he arrives late, so yeah.

It was a bit awkward on the ride since my brother's watching us. I haven't told them everything that was going on between us. It was happened last night and I'm not sure if we do really have that thing..

Noah is also quiet so I didn't try to open my mouth. My eyes fixed on the mirror and saw my brother pouting while looking at the window.

"What are you pouting at, young man?" Noah asked. I didn't know that he's also looking at him.

My brother looks at him, "Do you like my sister? He asked coldly.

I knew it!

I saw how Noah clenched his jaw, he glanced at me and smile. Damn that smile.

"I like her.. Very much.." His eyes was full of happiness as he say it.

"Then, why don't you court her in front of us? Are you some kind of coward?" My eyes widened at his question.

"Sebastian!"

He looked down. Seriously, I think my brother was overprotective. This is the first time that he talks to a guy who's hitting on me. No, a guy who likes me.

Noah laughs and it lessened the bear inside my chest. I want my brother to like him. Seb is a good boy, he won't be that strict to Noah if he founds out that I like him too.

"I like him, Seb." I bit my lip. I looked at the back and found him pouting again.

I can feel Noah's deep glances to me but I didn't turn to look at him. I was too embarrassed at this time. I didn't planned to confessed this early to my brother but I just don't want him to think that I'm doing it with a guy that I didn't like.

I know he doesn't want me to get hurt. He mentioned it before, he would keep me closed to him if he found out that a guy hurt me.

That was so sweet of course, and I love my brother because of that.

And the first one to know about my dating life. I assured, It was my brothers. They're my number one priority.

"But she just said that she likes me now. You know, I confessed to her awhile ago but she didn't respond. I was determined to court her if she say she likes me too. And that's it. She likes me and I'm going to court her." He said in a confident way. I gulp in nervousness.

He caught my eyes and smile, "Right Raine? Would you let me court you?" He asked and I was left hanging at that.

His piercing eyes are hypnotizing me. I was stunned. I never imagined that he'll ask me here with my brother! I saw Seb's brows furrowed but thank God he didn't speak or even hissed. I was defeated. I know I need to answer him now. But I'll just do it when we dropped my brother.

Oh God. I don't know what to say. Should I nod? Should I say, yes? Now, it feels good but at the same time. I was pressured!
